Abstract: Generating a vector space model to analyze menu items for restaurants in order to determine optimized geographic locations for merchants to position restaurants is described herein. In one example, the techniques include converting the menu items into vectors using the vector space model, and using the vectors, grouping or assigning the menu items to cuisine types. Once assigned to cuisine types, one or more servers of a food-ordering service may analyze transaction histories for customers in a particular geographic area to determine how “adventurous” the customers are, or how diverse the customer's orders are amongst cuisine types. If the customers in a particular geographic area are adventurous or diverse consumers, the food-ordering service may recommend that a merchant establish a dine-in restaurant in the geographic area, offer food delivery to the geographic area, and/or include the geographic area in a schedule for a mobile restaurant.

Abstract: In one instance, a system provides an electronic marketplace that matches designers, who can be geographically dispersed and who submit fashion designs into the system, with retailers and fashion companies, who are looking for designs to make finished garments and sale. The system can optionally include factories so that the designer, retailer can have the factories immediately fabricate the selected designs. Optionally, it may also include boutiques that are specialized version of the retailers looking for a particular product for a niche group or market. Other systems and methods are presented.

Abstract: A system and method for managing a request for roadside assistance includes receiving an electronic roadside assistance request made from a driver device. A set of available provider entities matching parameters of the request are determined. An electronic roadside assistance solicitation is transmitted to each of the available providers. Electronic roadside assistance offers made by a subset of the provider entities are received, each offer defining a respective offer price and an estimated time of arrival. The received offers are transmitted to the driver device. A response from the driver device indicating an acceptance one of the offers is further received. Electronic payment corresponding to the offer price is also received. A notification to an operator device associated to the provider entity of the accepted offer is further transmitted, the notification indicating the parameters of the roadside assistance request. The system and method are also applicable transportation assistance.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method creates personalized artwork, including word clouds, for making personalized goods. The system may include an art creation server, a data store, and a controller with a plurality of subsystems. Each of the plurality of subsystems is configured to manipulate data included in the data store. A data management engine is configured to receive a plurality of art objects. A randomization engine is configured to automatically generate personalized artwork by selectively layering a subset of the plurality of art objects. The randomization engine is also configured to automatically generate a rendering of the personalized artwork that can be edited by a user.

Abstract: A method of providing access to auxiliary data for a provider subsystem includes: storing offer data corresponding to an item, the offer data including (i) primary data, and (ii) auxiliary data defining an adjustment between the primary data and corresponding published data stored at an external repository; storing the offer data in an auxiliary repository; in response to an order request from a client subsystem: obtaining an order identifier corresponding to the offer data; and updating the auxiliary repository to store the order identifier in association with the offer data; in response to obtaining the order identifier, generating a reporting message for transmission to a provider subsystem, the reporting message containing the primary data and omitting the auxiliary data; and subsequent to generating the reporting message, retrieving the offer data from the auxiliary repository, and sending at least the auxiliary data to the provider subsystem.

The merchant accesses the platform application through the web page. The preparatory order number is generated by the backend server according to the order information and is sent to the web page.

The system may also include a routing control unit. The routing control unit may be configured to determine purchase order data based on the purchase order and the purchase order format. The routing control unit may be configured to generate a processed purchase order based on the purchase order data. The routing control unit may be configured to supplement the processed purchase order with additional purchase order data associated with the client. The routing control unit may be configured to apply purchase order security. The routing control unit may be configured to communicate, to a vendor, the processed purchase order.

User input at least partly defining an item is received and stored via a mobile electronic device. A location interaction trigger for the item is automatically determined to have occurred, based at least in part on a geolocation of the mobile electronic device. An alert is generated describing the item for display on a display of the mobile electronic device.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for probabilistic item matching and searching. A system including at least one processor may be configured to receive a data point relating to a specific item, generate a database query based on the data point, and receive a response to the database query. The response may include multiple candidate items relating to the specific item. The system may be further configured to receive a first input relating to the specific item and generate a probability score for at least two candidate items of the multiple candidate items in the response, based on at least the second input. The system may be further configured to select a selected item from the candidate items, based on the probability score for the selected item. The system may be further configured to output a reference to, or value representing, the selected item.

The projector(s) can be adapted to display the selectable product(s) on at least one of the at least one wall structure element or the physical object(s). The physical object can be adjustable in size to correspond to different sizes of selectable products. Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments of systems and methods for dynamically generating and providing personalized recommendations of newer products or services potentially of interest to a particular user who has previously purchased a similar product or service. Historical purchase data or other information indicating the user's preferences is analyzed to determine personal preference data. Candidate content is identified based on attributes found in the preference data. Similarity strategies and criteria can be used to test features and qualities in candidate content. Recommended product or service content comes in the form of candidate content which reaches a similarity threshold or otherwise achieves a sufficient confidence score based at least in part on a similarity metric is determined.

The action unit may be configured to determine a first action to perform based on the detection of the first event, and perform the first action. The event generation unit may be further configured to create a second event based on the performance of the first action.

Abstract: Background content suggestion for combination with identified items is described. Initially, a system receives digital visual content depicting an item, e.g., a product for purchase. The system identifies various content items that are available for suggesting as replacement backgrounds for the item and then determines a compatibility of these identified content items with the item depicted in the received digital visual content. In particular, the system determines compatibility based on both a scene compatibility and a color compatibility of the identified content items with the depicted item. Based on a combination of the scene and color compatibility, the system surfaces at least one of the identified content items (e.g., a highest scoring content item) as a suggested replacement background for the depicted item.
