Abstract: The present invention relates to a hygiene behaviour support system for enhancing a person's hand hygiene after a toilet visit. Visual LED indicators are provided on a water tap, soap dispenser, paper dispenser and disinfectant dispender to attract the attention of the user to the respective item. Sensors on the items activate the dispensers and register completion of each task, in order to activate the next indicator on the next item, thereby sequentially guiding the user through a complete hygiene procedure. The disinfectant dispenser is connected with the closing mechanism of the door, so that only after the disinfectant is sensed to have been dispensed, the door will open.
Abstract: A transmission arrangement for a radio station of an access system may include a printed circuit board with an upper main surface and a first metallization plane in which conducting paths are formed. A drive circuit for supplying a frequency signal and an antenna structure are also provided. The antenna structure includes a coupling device, a conductor structure and a continuous, electrically conductive path having first and second ends opposite each other. The coupling device is configured to couple a frequency signal supplied by the drive circuit into the conductor structure. The first and/or second ends form end(s) of the conductor structure. The printed circuit board is retained at a distance from the first and/or second end by a gas or an electrically non-conductive material.
Abstract: A method and system for adaptive operation of a power amplifier of an RFID reader device enables more efficient power management of the reader device. The method includes transmitting an RF interrogation signal from an antenna of the RFID reader device (step 505). A reflected signal is then received as a partial reflection of the interrogation signal (step 510). A return loss value is then estimated by comparing at least one parameter of the interrogation signal and at least one parameter of the reflected signal (step 515). Finally, an operating point of the power amplifier is adjusted in response to the return loss value (step 520).

Abstract: Methods and systems for updating an airfield lighting system with an LED light source are described herein. One method includes removing a light source from an existing light fixture of an airfield lighting system, wherein the removed light source is not a light emitting diode (LED) light source, and replacing the removed light source with an LED light source in the existing light fixture without modifying or replacing any other element of the existing light fixture.
Abstract: An emergency services system (“ESS”) for a worksite is constituted by a number of tags, a mesh network, and a management system. Each person on the worksite is provided with a tag. Each tag when activated and logged onto the ESS uniquely identifies the person carrying that tag. The mesh network comprises a number of nodes and is arranged to provide communication over the entirety of the worksite. The nodes communicate with active tags. The management system receives and processes position data of active tags from the nodes via the communications network. The management system includes one or more displays arranged to display information pertaining to a worksite, its personnel and status. The ESS relies on use of signal strength in the mesh communication network to provide one source of location information. The observed signal strength received to multiple nodes is used to triangulate the position of a tag.
