Abstract: In a network system of this invention including a plurality of network devices that transfer frames by repeating, in a constant cycle, a reserved transfer interval that is a time band, in which a frame is transferred with a reservation and a free transfer interval that is a time band, in which a frame is freely transferred, a relay network device that links a first network device that is a transmission source of a frame and a second network device that is a transmission destination of the frame and the first network device execute a reservation processing such that the same time band within the reserved transfer interval is reserved and transfer the frame from the first network device to the second network device on the basis of the reservation result.

Abstract: The invention discloses a method for generating a group identifier of the random access response message. The group identifier is determined according to the serial number of the subframe in which the random access time slot of random access preamble message transmitted by the terminal lies and the serial number of the random access channel in which the random access time slot lies. A random access method and a random access response method in a cellular radio communication system are also provided. Using the method of the present invention, the terminal needs not acquire the absolute system time of the cellular system in which the random access time slot lies, and can access the cellular radio communication system rapidly and accurately.
Abstract: An apparatus for adaptive synchronized decoding of digital video may include a processor. The processor may be configured to maintain a next key frame timestamp, decode a plurality of key frames of a video clip, decode a plurality of non-key frames of a video clip which arrive on time, and drop one or more non-key frames until the next key frame if a video frame arrives late and the next key frame is within a calculated drop time window based at least in part on the next key frame timestamp. Corresponding methods and computer program products are also provided.
Abstract: A wireless local area network (WLAN) device transmits a header over an air interface, at a first modulation rate. The header may include an indication of a second modulation rate that will be used to transmit a consolidated payload. The device further transmits the consolidated payload at the second modulation rate. The consolidated payload includes multiple data units. In one embodiment, the consolidated payload includes delimiters with validation fields associated with the various data units.
Abstract: A method of power saving in a wireless local area network is provided. The method, performed by a wireless device, includes acquiring TXOP (transmission opportunity) from access point (AP), the TXOP indicating an interval of time when the AP has the right to transmit at least one data block for multi user-multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) transmission, receiving a power saving indicator from the AP, the power saving indicator indicating whether the AP allows to enter doze state during the TXOP, and entering the doze state until the end of the TXOP if the power saving indicator indicates an allowance of entering the doze state.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for estimating a motion vector using a plurality of motion vector predictors, an encoder, a decoder, and a decoding method. The method includes calculating spatial similarities between the current block and the plurality of neighboring partitions around the current block, selecting at least one of the neighboring partitions based on the calculated spatial similarities, and estimating a motion vector of the selected partition as the motion vector of the current block.
Abstract: A deserializer circuit and method convert a serial bit stream into a parallel bit stream according to a parallel grouping. The deserializer and method include alternatingly demultiplexing a serial data stream into first and second bit streams. The first and second bit streams are respectively serially shifted along a first plurality of shift registers and a second plurality of shift registers. A first portion of the first bit stream in the first plurality of shift registers is selected and a second portion of the second bit stream in the second plurality of shift registers is also selected. A parallel group of data in a parallel data stream is formed from the first and second portions.
Abstract: Training, refreshing and/or updating Ethernet link partners for silent channels and/or silent directions of channels may be determined based on control parameters. This may be used to improve energy efficiency in Ethernet communication. Control parameters may comprise a default value and/or may be determined based on prior training, refreshing and/or updating. New values for the control parameters may be generated based on a magnitude of change between current and prior control parameter values or based on performance such as bit error rate. User input may be utilized to determine when to execute the training, refreshing and/or updating. The training, refreshing and/or updating may be done for one or more of a near-end crosstalk canceller, alien near-end crosstalk canceller, far-end crosstalk canceller, alien far-end crosstalk canceller and echo canceller. After the training, refreshing and/or updating, the silent channels may transition to active and/or may remain silent.
Abstract: An Ethernet link may comprise silent and active channels and may support energy efficient Ethernet communication. Training parameters from the one or more active channels may be utilized for determining and/or adjusting training parameters for silent channels prior to activation. Training parameters for silent channels may be determined based on copying training parameters from active channels. Determination of training parameters for silent channels may be based on a weighted average of the active channel training parameters. A delta between active channel training parameters from a prior time and subsequent time may be utilized to determine a correction factor for adjusting training parameters for a silent channel from a prior time. Silent channels may be adjusted based on active channel training parameters and then subsequently may be trained. Training parameters may be adjusted for one or more of an echo canceller, a near-end crosstalk canceller and a far-end canceller.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting peer traffic based on a heuristic model and deep packet inspection is described. A suspect set of peer packets is detected using a heuristic model. From the suspect set of peer packet, a set of verified peer packets is detected using deep packet inspection. The set of verified peer packets is processed according to the peer processing policy, while the non-verified peer packets is processed according a non-peer policy. Furthermore, the statistics are generated from the set of suspect peer packet. These statistics are used to update the heuristic model.
Abstract: A method of transmitting data through a downlink common transport channel in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises receiving measurement information transmitted from a user equipment at an upper network node, forwarding control information of the common transport channel, which is acquired from the measurement information, from the upper network node to a base station, and transmitting downlink data from the base station to the user equipment through the common transport channel in accordance with the control information.

Abstract: A method of operating a wireless communication system includes transmitting a power control code from a wireless access node to each of plurality of wireless communication devices. Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for resource block-specific control signaling in a communication system. Communication data is transmitted using a transmission channel comprising a plurality of resource blocks defined by allocating time-frequency slots in a transmission resource. Resource block control information is transmitted in a “feed-forward” manner to a user end (UE) or group of UEs using channels physically mapped into scheduled resource blocks (RBs) for that user or group of users. Embodiments of the invention provide an RB-specific control channel that comprises RB control elements that are embedded within scheduled resource blocks. The invention, therefore, reduces the amount of control information that must be transmitted by common or shared control channels.
Abstract: When generating an encoded composed video stream based on a common video stream and at least one input stream of personalized information, at least one intermediate stream is generated by mixing the at least one input stream into the common video stream in predetermined positions of the common video stream, taking into account a macroblock grouping in slices, and the at least one intermediate stream is encoded, thereby generating at least one encoded intermediate stream by using the macroblock grouping. The common video stream is encoded using the macroblock grouping, thereby generating an encoded common video stream. The encoded common video stream and the at least one encoded intermediate stream are combined and filtered such that per frame and per slice sequence number only one slice of one stream is selected for forming the encoded composed video stream.
