Abstract: A method and an apparatus for providing position information in a mobile communication system includes setting, at a mobile communication terminal which requests to provide the position information, a position condition to provide the position information. The mobile communication terminal generates a message including the position condition, and sends the generated message to a correspondent terminal of which the position information is to be acquired. The mobile communications terminal also receives a position information request message including the position condition from a correspondent terminal, determines whether the position condition is violated or not by periodically acquiring its position information, and sends a message informing of the position information violation to the correspondent terminal when the position condition is violated.
Abstract: Configuring a mobile wireless communication device using a carrier service configuration profile selected from a set of stored carrier service configuration profiles. Carrier service configuration profiles are selected based on one or more combinations of identifier values stored in the mobile wireless communication device. Carrier service configuration profiles are priority ranked based on a specificity of the one or more combinations of identifier values.

Abstract: A method, which is convenient to subscribe, configure and move mobile telephone software service, focuses on user. It regards all kinds of mobile telephone service software as the carrier of the service. A user's mobile telephone stores user description information and service description information related of the mobile telephone in service management platform after installing and starting a mobile telephone service. The user logs on the service management platform through access equipment, and subscribes mobile telephone service modality and all kinds of function available after identity authorization. The user can configure service parameters through access equipment, downloads the mobile telephone service software or service description information from service management platform, and installs them to user's mobile telephone after subscription or configuration operation. The user can log on the service management platform through new mobile telephone when the mobile telephone is updated.
Abstract: An emergency switch and an emergency function activated by the emergency switch are provided in a wireless mobile device. The emergency switch is positioned on an edge of the mobile device in a position that is visible and operable without activating the device. An action of the emergency switch activates the emergency function in the device. The emergency function in the device initiates a call to 911. The emergency function initiates a call to 911 and provides (i) a canned voice message that includes, owner name, owner cell telephone number, GPS location, physical address, and nature of the emergency. The emergency function activates a speakerphone connection and maintains the speakerphone connection to update the status of the emergency until the function is deactivated by the device user.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of data processing, and in particular, to a method for processing data in a message. The method includes: receiving a message sent by a network side or another equipment, wherein the message carries data; identifying a data type of the data; and storing the data into a function module corresponding to the data type according to a corresponding relationship list, wherein the corresponding relationship list is a list of correspondence between the data types and the function module. Meanwhile, an embodiment of the present invention further provides a mobile terminal for processing data in a message. With embodiments of the present invention, the intelligent interaction capability between a mobile terminal and a user is enhanced, and the transaction processing efficiency of the mobile terminal is also improved.
Abstract: A method and apparatus of transmitting data in a coordinated multi-cell wireless communication system is provided. A base station receives information about beam-forming vectors, aligned with a channel to a user equipment placed in a neighbor cell, and about nulling beam-forming vectors for the channel to the user equipment from the neighbor cell, determines a transmission beam-forming vector based on the information, and transmits data to the user equipment using the transmission beam-forming vector.

Abstract: The invention is directed to methods and systems for controlling resource utilization. In particular, resources in a wireless telecommunications network may be monitored and controlled to eliminate unnecessary resource usage. Channels on the network, and the users thereof, may be monitored to identify under-utilized channels based on predetermined thresholds. If an under-utilized channel is identified, users may be immediately or subsequently transferred to another channel on the network and resources to the under-utilized channel may be eliminated. The channels may be dynamically monitored such that any changes in usage are addressed and users may be transferred multiple times to conserve resources.
