  • Patent number: 11663384
Abstract: An equivalent input characterization waveform (EICW) is determined for a channel-connected block (CCB) located on a boundary of a cell, for a specific waveform of interest. The EICW and the specific waveform of interest produce a same timing characteristic of the CCB, but the EICW belongs to a set of waveforms on which a behavioral timing model for the multi-stage cell is based whereas the specific waveform of interest is not so limited. A timing response of the multi-stage cell is then estimated based on applying the EICW.

  • Patent number: 11658080
Abstract: Systems and assemblies are provided for transposition channel routing where the characteristics of an escape route can be modified on a printed circuit board (PCB) in a manner that reduces crosstalk and realizes significant signal quality improvement. The techniques involve “transposition” of a signal line pair on the PCB, reduces effect coupling coefficients for individual aggressor signals, thereby reducing the crosstalk. Transposition channel routing techniques can also be applied to other areas on a PCB (e.g., other than escape routes) where space is constrained and other mitigation techniques are not possible. The PCB can include an array of contact pads, a plurality of signal line pairs that include an escape route. One or more transposition junctions disposed within the escape route can route a signal line pair from a first routing channel in the escape route into a second routing channel in the escape route.

  • Patent number: 11645441
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure address systems and methods for performing a machine-learning based clustering of clock sinks during clock tree synthesis. An integrated circuit (IC) design comprising a clock net that includes a plurality of clock sinks is accessed. An initial number of clusters to generate from the set of clock sinks is determined using a machine-learning model. A first set of clusters is generated from the set of clocks sinks and includes the initial number of clusters. A timing analysis is performed to determine whether each cluster in the first set of clusters satisfies design rule constraints. The initial number of clusters is adjusted based on the timing analysis and a clustering solution is generated based on the adjusted number of clusters.

  • Patent number: 11639116
Abstract: A power delivery system for an electric vehicle provides efficient power management for either continuous or intermittent high-performance operation, using a boost stage and an on-board charging circuit. A main battery, configured as a high-capacity power source, supplies power to the electric motor under normal load conditions. An auxiliary boost battery assists the main battery in supplying a high-level current at a higher discharge rate thereby causing the motor to operate in a high-performance drive mode. A charging circuit recharges the boost battery from the main battery during operation of the motor. The charging circuit also maintains a charge balance between the boost battery and the main battery when the two batteries have different chemistries. In one embodiment, participation of the boost battery in powering the electric motor can be controlled automatically according to sensed changes in the load. In another embodiment, power management can be based on timed intervals.
