Abstract: Provided is a video distribution system with which it is possible to improve the motivation of participants with respect to an event that is distributed as a recorded video. A video distribution system is connected via a network to user terminal devices, and distributes a recorded video obtained by recording status of a game event in which a plurality of participants participating therein, to the user terminal devices. And the video distribution system increases the prize money amount set for the game event according to selection of an amount increase option executed by each user via the user terminal device so as to be associated with the recorded video, and decides the individual prize money amount to be awarded to a target participant P based on the prize money amount at the end of a predetermined period.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for disambiguating user input based on a physical location of items in a vicinity of a user. The system determines that a query received from a user contains an ambiguity. In response, the system identifies several items in the physical vicinity of the user. Then, the system analyzes the identified plurality of items to determine whether the plurality of items forms a first ensemble of items or a second ensemble of items. If the plurality of items forms a first ensemble of items, the system performs a search using the search query and a first keyword related to the first ensemble of items. If the plurality of items forms a second ensemble of items, the system performs a search using the search query and a second keyword related to the second ensemble of items. The system then outputs results of the performed search.

Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for reducing network traffic when retrieving media guidance data. For example, a media guidance application receives a first user selection to display a group of media asset identifiers (e.g., video-on-demand listings) and retrieves detailed information from a remote server relating to the media asset identifiers to display to a user. The media guidance application then may receive a user selection to display a second group of media asset identifiers (e.g., purchased media assets). If any of the media asset identifiers are common to both groups, then the media guidance application already obtained the detailed information and the detailed information does not need to be retransmitted in order to be displayed. Thus, the media guidance application only retrieves detailed information for media asset identifiers unique to the second group of media asset identifiers (e.g., they are only on the purchased media asset list).

Abstract: Systems and methods for a media content system. A media content provider includes storage for storing and serving video content to subscribers. The media content provider records and or otherwise stores video content from around the world. The system includes display devices configured to identify and tailor content to multiple individual users. Each user may have individual settings which provide for a customized viewing environment and experience. The system is configured to identify users of the system in order to tailor the content as appropriate. In addition, identification of users allows for the identification of the subscription content that corresponds to the user. Based upon identification of a user and corresponding subscription, the user's subscription content may be streamed to any location. In this manner, the users subscribed content may follow the user from home to a friend's house, or elsewhere.

The system generates an updated schedule based on a low-latency preview of a live input stream. The system further generates a disparate live media output stream manifest based on manipulation of manifests of the live input stream and a pre-encoded media asset based on the updated schedule.

Abstract: Provided is a system that identifies a tag in a media content of a media stream based on a user-attribute of a client device. A candidate time-period is identified in a playback duration of the media content based on the identified tag in the media content. Based on a degree of correlation between the identified tag in the media content and a corresponding context for the media content at the candidate time-period, an overlay-graphic item corresponding to the identified tag is presented at the candidate time-period in the media content.

Abstract: Provided are a processing method and apparatus, an electronic device and a medium. The method includes steps described below. A target video is acquired; video information of the target video is determined; copy information corresponding to the video information is generated by using a video description model, where the copy information is generated by using the video description model and based on a task prompt and a copy keyword. Through this method, the video description model is constrained based on the task prompt and the copy keyword, so that the copy information of the target video is generated more accurately, and the coupling degree between the copy information and the target video is improved.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for executing a voice command based on and association of the voice command and one or more identifiers. Audio data associated with a content asset may be received at a user device such as a voice activated device. A voice command may also be received at the user device. One or more identifiers associated with the audio data, such as a content or product identifier, may be determined. The identifiers may be determined based on playback of the content asset or may be received in response to a request generated by the user device. One or more operations capable of being executed by the user device may be determined and initiated or executed by the user device based on the one or more identifiers and the received voice command.

Abstract: The present technology pertains to synchronized video viewing that is supported by the use of a pending changes count to keep the client devices in synchronization while providing a user experience that matches the expectations of the user. A second client device can receive input to change some aspect of the playback of a video that is being viewed synchronously with at least one other device. The second client device can process the event so the video can reflect the received input. The second client device can also send a collaboration message to a synchronized video viewing service to inform other client devices of the command. Since the second client device is aware of its own event, the second client device can ignore processing any other collaboration messages until it receives the collaboration message it initiated echoed back to it. Thereafter it can resume processing received collaboration messages.

Abstract: A session management involves registering at least one IPTV application in a registration table so that the registration table includes at least a respective identifier of the IPTV applications. The IPTV applications are invokable at a set top box and can be so-called embedded applications and/or browser-based applications. An event requiring the invocation of an IPTV application at the set top box is detected and triggers a look-up in the registration table. The registration table is thus used as source to indicate those IPTV applications that are potentially available and can be launched at the set top box. One of the registered applications is launched for the purpose of handling the detected event.

Abstract: In an approach for dynamically adjusting parallel reality (PR) displays, a processor configures a viewing event. A processor receives data from data collecting devices located throughout a location of the viewing event. A processor classifies a crowd of the viewing event into at least two partitions using a learning-based neural network that ingests the data. A processor selects content to be displayed to each of the at least two partitions. A processor enables a PR display to simultaneously display the content to each of the at least two partitions.

Abstract: A system and a method is provided for publishing a disparate live media output stream that complies with distribution format regulations. The system includes a memory for storing instructions and a processor that executes the instructions. Based on the instructions, the processor is manipulates a manifest of a live input stream based on a media segment identified for an edit. The manipulation of the manifest corresponds to removal of references to the media segment prior to a live event start indicator and after a live event end indicator, maintenance of indicators that mark locations of a non-programming content, and removal of duration information and referenced media segment that corresponds to originally scheduled non-programming content. A pre-encoded media asset is generated for a repeated playback based on the manipulation of the manifest of the live input stream.

A request is received from the remote user to jump into the gaming session as a spectator of the interactive gaming world from a virtual POV defined by a virtual location in the gaming world.
