Abstract: Provided is a system and method for publishing a disparate live media output stream that complies with distribution format regulations. One or more processors in the system generate a preview based on a low-latency protocol for a plurality of live input streams, and generate an updated schedule based on one or more events identified in the preview in real-time. The updated schedule includes one or more transitions between the plurality of live input streams and pre-encoded media assets. A disparate live media output stream manifest is generated based on manipulation of manifests of the plurality of live input streams and pre-encoded media assets in accordance with the updated schedule. The generated disparate live media output stream manifest is delayed to allow decisions based on the preview, and includes programming content and non-programming content available to the one or more processors for immediate consumption, and complies with distribution format regulations.

Abstract: Systems and methods provide live broadcasts with real-time feedback from viewers using mobile computing devices. An example method includes providing a live feed broadcast from a source mobile device to a plurality of viewing devices, receiving, during the live feed broadcast, a plurality of feedback signals, each feedback signal being from at least one of the plurality of viewing devices, and associating each feedback signal with a respective time in the live feed broadcast. The method further includes providing, for each feedback signal in the plurality of feedback signals, an indication of the feedback signal to the source mobile device and to each viewing device of the plurality of viewing devices, the indication being used to display a symbol representing the feedback signal as an animation, the animation moving the symbol on a path during display and lasting for a predetermined time subsequent to the respective time.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for enabling in-video shopping functionality that includes a cross-video shopping cart. For example, a user may add items to an electronic shopping cart that is persistent across two different websites or pages, where items may be added to the shopping cart within overlays on two separate videos presented on the respective pages. The persistent shopping cart features may also enable a persistent shopping cart that enables joint checkout involving two or more different payment processors, two or more different third-party shopping systems, two or more different publisher systems, two or more different video hosting platforms, or two or more different client devices sharing a user account.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, identify and classify the various video pathways in an interactive video based on the content of these video pathways. A video comprising multiple video segments is obtained from a video library. Each video segment is directly linked to at least one other video segment and the multiple video segments comprise a beginning segment, intermediate segments (including interactive segments), and final segments. Multiple video pathways in the video are identified. For each identified video pathway, classification data is generated and each such video pathway is then stored in the video library. When the video is selected from a particular category of the video library, the video segments of a video pathway that has a classification which is the same as the classification associated with the particular category, is then displayed.

For example, a media guidance application receives a first user selection to display a group of media asset identifiers (e.g., video-on-demand listings) and retrieves detailed information from a remote server relating to the media asset identifiers to display to a user. The media guidance application then may receive a user selection to display a second group of media asset identifiers (e.g., purchased media assets). If any of the media asset identifiers are common to both groups, then the media guidance application already obtained the detailed information and the detailed information does not need to be retransmitted in order to be displayed. Thus, the media guidance application only retrieves detailed information for media asset identifiers unique to the second group of media asset identifiers (e.g., they are only on the purchased media asset list).

An interactive program, including the live video content and an interactive component, is generated and a moderator interface is provided to enable a user of a moderator client device to create a look for the interactive program. The live video content and the interactive component are simultaneously displayed on a display of each of a plurality of participant client devices with the look created by the user of the moderator client device. The live video content and a response to the live video content are simultaneously displayed at each of the participant client devices with the look created by the user of the moderator client. The interactive program and the response are archived so that users of the plurality of participant devices may continue to interact with the interactive program after termination of the interactive program.

In the locked mode, the interactive media guidance application may allow access to only certain media assets and/or limit the time period for which the media assets are presented.

If the plurality of items forms a first ensemble of items, the system performs a search using the search query and a first keyword related to the first ensemble of items. The system then outputs results of the performed search.

The method may allow a user to download portions of a media asset in different versions to download a maximum portion of the media asset before loss of network connectivity. Certain versions of media assets may be downloaded more quickly than other versions of media assets. The method may also allow a user to view partially downloaded media assets without network connectivity. The method may also replace portions of media assets downloaded in a first version with portions of the media assets in a second version once network connectivity is restored.

Abstract: A video monitoring system can include multiple collectors to receive video beacon data from multiple video monitoring interface modules. At least one beacon stream is connected to receive data from multiple collectors.
