Abstract: A payment reader and a POS terminal may communicate over a wireless connection. The methods and systems include receiving, from POS terminal, a request for establishing a network connection with the payment card reader. The server determines whether the payment card reader is associated with the POS terminal or a payment application thereon. If the payment card reader is not associated with the POS terminal or the payment application thereon, the server determines the probability of the request being fraudulent.

Abstract: Processing payroll payments for employees is performed by a payment processing system and employee devices, so that the employee can with access security set short pay periods and have wage payments made according to their profile. The payment processing system has an interfacing server, a storage server, and a processing server, using internal signalling and file transfer. They receive from an employer computer net pay data for employees for a long period, and communicating with the employee devices to determine a desired payment split over the long period, and automatically notify an employee device of opening of a window for user editing of a payment split profile, and subsequently are instructed by the employee device as to edit the profile.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, devices, and apparatuses, including computer programs stored on computer-readable media, for providing transaction data to a blockchain system for processing. One of the methods includes: monitoring the transaction data in a computer system, wherein the transaction data include at least one of single-transaction data or multiple-transaction data; and based on the monitoring, asynchronously uploading the transaction data to the blockchain system.

Abstract: Described are systems and techniques configured to present information to a user of a facility that uses a wearable device. Using sensor data acquired from sensors in a facility, operational data associated with the user is generated. Such operational data may be related to providing customer assistance. The operational data is used to generate user interface data, which is transmitted to the wearable device. Upon receipt, the wearable device presents the operational data as a user interface using a display device, which may help provide customer assistance as needed.

Abstract: System and method for interactive queue management are disclosed. A system can include a server in communication with at least one queue and can communicate with a user via his or her smartphone to provide the user with queue data from the beacon, determine the location of the smartphone relative to the queue via GPS or a wireless beacon, and pre-book the POS checkout of the user of the smartphone at the at least one queue. The system can be configured to allow the smartphone user to not have to maintain a view of the at least one queue or its progress in processing customers. The system can enable a user of the smartphone to dwell a minimum time at the at least one queue upon notification from the beacon to the smartphone of an advanced position/reservation at the queue to complete the customer's transaction.

Abstract: Examples provide an item storage cart for verifying correct item placement into containers on the item storage cart. A cart manager component outputs planogram data identifying a location of a selected item. Weight data generated by one or more weight sensors associated with the set of item storage containers is analyzed to verify whether a correct item is placed in a given storage container on the cart and/or verify a selected item is placed into a correct storage container. The cart manager component determines if an unselected item is removed from a storage container and/or if an unselected item is added to a storage container. A notification is output if an incorrect item is added to a cart, an incorrect item is removed from the cart, an item is added to the wrong container or removed from the wrong container.

Abstract: A server provides data to software applications executing at mobile devices. Billing information for each wireless device is shared with a provider of a software application. The server formats usage information into a transaction record for the content provider. A customer of a network carrier is charged differently based upon a type of content accessed through the server.

Abstract: According to some embodiments of the invention, smart contracts may be recorded to a block chain. Data may be collected from pallets tagged with beacons and may be saved to the block chain. This data may be indicative of the partial or complete fulfillment of one or more conditions of smart contracts recorded to the block chain. Upon fulfillment of particular conditions as indicated by the block chain, the smart contracts may be automatically executed (e.g., payment may be initiated).

Abstract: In some embodiments, system, apparatuses, and methods are provided herein useful for managing retail product inventory including a plurality of locations each having a corresponding location decay rate associated by a central control system. A central control system comprising a central control circuit coupled with memory storing code that when implemented causes the central control circuit to: determine, at a current time and for each detected first product, a confidence value corresponding to a level of confidence that the first product is still present and within a first threshold area corresponding to a first location where the first product was most recently sensed. The confidence value may decay over time proportional to a first decay period of time.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer product for optimizing inventory replenishment by a retailer. An inventory management system of a retailer includes an inventory management server and an inventory database. The inventory database includes data about a plurality of stock keeping units (SKUs) and configured to communicate with one or more vendor servers associated with one or more vendors. An automated replenishment system is communicatively coupled to the inventory management system. The automated replenishment system includes an automated replenishment server configured to determine that a first SKU of the plurality of SKUs is not replenishable.

Abstract: Technologies for closed-looped testing of integrated circuit card payment terminals include loading a test profile onto an integrated circuit payment card. Authorization request and response messages are locally generated and translated to simulate acquirer processor processing and payment network processing. An outcome report indicative of the outcome of the test transaction is generated and transmitted to a remote certification server. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

The unit contains compartments for each product type in multiple controlled temperature zones with sensors to track product status and content. In a system, each unit communicates with an application service provider to provide remote inventory management capability.

Abstract: Systems and methods related to coordinating warehouses and supply chains are provided. Respective first and second estimated times of arrival at a loading dock of a warehouse are determined for respective first and second vehicles, where the first estimated arrival time is before the second estimated arrival time. A pallet arrangement at the loading dock is determined that includes a first pallet for the first vehicle and a second pallet for the second vehicle, where the first pallet is closer to the loading dock than the second pallet. The first estimated arrival time later changes to be after the second estimated arrival time. After the first estimated arrival time changes to be after the second estimated arrival time, a robot is instructed to modify the arrangement so that the second pallet is closer to the loading dock than the first pallet before the second estimated arrival time.

Abstract: Proposed is a method for carrying out a transaction between a mobile telephone (6) and a sales apparatus (45), the telephone (6) comprising a first memory (40) for storing an identifier (I), the identifier (I) being able to identify the mobile telephone (6) uniquely, the method comprising the following steps: a) reception of the identifier by radiofrequency communication via the sales apparatus (45), b) identification of the mobile telephone (6) by the sales apparatus (45) from the identifier received during the first sending step, and c) generation by the sales apparatus (45) of a proof of purchase comprising a signature computed by the sales apparatus (45) and able to authenticate the proof of purchase, the proof of purchase (PA) being a transportation title.

Abstract: A point of sale (POS) device includes a nest portion and a cradle portion. The nest portion includes one or more payment card or near field communication (NFC) readers. The cradle portion couples to differently-sized interchangeable frames, which in turn help secure a mobile computing device to the cradle portion of the POS device. The mobile computing device is connected via a connector to the rest of the POS device. Payment card information read by the readers is conveyed to the mobile computing device over the connector for processing. The POS device may also include tamper detection circuitry.

Abstract: A system for tracking an employee's time comprises a geographic location aware device able to detect a presence within a geo-fence area in real time, create a time and location message when the real time geographic location detector enters into or departs from the geo-fence area; and transmit those messages to a remote tracker which may be at one or a plurality of remote locations. The remote tracker comprises software that calculates a time differential between the arrival time and the departure time and uses the calculated time differential to calculate a gross pay for the employee at a predetermined rate of pay.
