  • Patent number: 5096392
Abstract: An apparatus for conveying paints is connectible via a supply passage to a reservoir and is connectible via a feed passage to an application device. The apparatus includes a diaphragm pump mounted in a closed housing and provided with an admission valve and a discharge valve. The diaphragm pump is driveable with an electric motor that can be switched by a manometric switch dependent on conveying pressure. The admission valve and the discharge valve are commonly arranged in a pump head and are held by a supporting element that is detachably connected to the pump head. Further, the discharge valve is located upsteam of a pressurized chamber that is connected to the feed passage and is also located in the pump head. Variations in feed passage pressure cause variations in the volume of the pressurized chamber by flexing a control diaphragm. The control diaphragm acts on an adjustment element to actuate a control switch. The invention provides an apparatus that is compact, reliable, and easy to manufacture.

  • Patent number: 5094144
Abstract: A bent axis type variable displacement hydraulic machine employing hydrostatic radial bearings for supporting hydraulic reaction forces exerted on the cylinder block. In a hydraulic machine of this sort, the number of pistons which are located in the high pressure are varies with the rotation of the cylinder block, and the resultant force of hydraulic reaction forces has an acting point at a position off the axis of the rotational shaft. Therefore, the hydrostatic radial bearings are located in such positions as to balance the moment loads which occur about the rotational shaft in relation with the acting point of the resultant force of radial hydraulic reaction forces on the drive disc of the rotational shaft. As a result, it becomes possible to lead to suppression of oil leaks from the sliding surfaces to a minimal rate and to prevent abnormal abrasive wear of each of the sliding surfaces.

  • Patent number: 5094147
Abstract: A high torque low speed motor has a nutating assembly driven by a hydraulic or an electric actuator. The nutator assembly drivingly connects to an output shaft through a gear train. Because of a difference in the number of teeth between a gear on the output shaft and a gear on the nutating assembly, the output shaft is driven at a differential ratio as the nutator assembly is driven.

  • Patent number: 5081907
Abstract: A hydrostatic displacement engine having pistons which slide on the inside of a stroke ring. The eccentricity of the stroke ring, relative to the cylinder block, is variable. The interior of the housing is divided in two areas which are separated from each other preferably by a seal, namely in the area located radially outside the stroke ring and the area located radially within the stroke ring. The inner and outer areas serve as a leakage oil collection space and connects through a leakage oil line with a pressureless liquid container. Emptying in the area situated radially outside the stroke ring is a connection line which is supplied by a pressure supply. • Patent number: 5079994
Abstract: Radial piston machine as a fluid pump or fluid motor comprising an inner valving trunnion, an outer cam ring and at least a cylinder block arranged therebetween and having reciprocating pistons, which tilt when the cylinder block rotates. The pistons have spherical heads and crowned piston rings along the biggest diameter or equator in order to create each an oblique sealing plane when the respective piston is tilted. Pressure in each chamber limited by said oblique sealing plane will give rise to a direct transformation of torque and fluid pressure. The valving trunnion has enlarged sealing fields to get a precompression of the fluid between high and low pressure fluid areas in order to avoid excitation of noise. The machine design can be for constant or variable displacement. In case of variable displacement, the sinusoidal curve of piston travel is adjusted for a variable preceeding angle (.epsilon.) by adding a constant eccentricity (c) so that the angle of the separation (.tau.
