Abstract: A vectoring controller is configured to determine first coefficient values for a vectoring matrix at a first tone based on a first number of iterations through an iterative update algorithm and a first channel matrix estimate at the first tone, and to determine second coefficient values for the vectoring matrix at a second neighboring tone based on a second number of iterations through the iterative update algorithm and a second channel matrix estimate at the second tone. The vectoring controller is configured to start with the first coefficient values as initial values for the respective second coefficient values in the iterative update algorithm. The second number of iterations is lower than or equal to the first number of iterations.

Abstract: A method for identifying communicators as wanted or unwanted based on messages from such communicators comprising receiving, by the data processing system, an inbound message from a communicator, comparing, by the data processing system, the inbound message to fingerprints stored in a database accessible to the data processing system, determining, by the data processing system, at least one match to the fingerprints, determining, by the data processing system, an identity of the communicator by determining whether and how likely the communicator is wanted or unwanted based on the at least one match to the fingerprints, and configuring, by the data processing system, handling of calls from the communicator based on the identity.

Abstract: One example method of operation may include identifying a call from a calling device destined for a mobile device, responsive to identifying a calling device number assigned to the calling device, accessing a call content application programming interface (API), operated by a content delivery device, configured to deliver to the mobile device a first caller identification name (CNAM) or a second CNAM, assigned to the calling device number, determining a context assigned to a mobile device number assigned to the mobile device, selecting one of the first CNAM and the second CNAM based on the context, and assigning the selected CNAM to the call.

Abstract: A method for qualifying identity in a communication network upon initiation by caller terminal of a communication to a called terminal is described. The method is performed by the called terminal and includes receiving at least one identity of the calling terminal certified by a trusted third-party, as well as at least one non-certified identity of the calling terminal, and presenting the user of the called terminal with information representative of at least one of the identities of the calling terminal, accompanied by an indication representative of a qualification information indicating whether the at least one identity of the calling terminal is or is not certified by a trusted third party.

Abstract: A system may include a processor that may execute computer-executable instructions that cause the processor to receive caller information regarding an incoming communication from a caller and receive a request from a user to route the incoming communication to a virtual assistant application. The virtual assistant application is configured to interact with the caller and determine whether the caller is associated a fraudulent caller activity stored on databases accessible by the processor. The processor may then receive an indication from the virtual assistant application that the caller is associated with the fraudulent caller activity and forward the incoming communication to another party in response to receiving the indication.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for providing additional information to called parties comprises receiving a call from a calling party, performing a lookup of information associated with the calling party in a database, receiving the information from the database, and forwarding the information to a called party. The system comprises at least one device for receiving a call from a calling party, and at least one database for storing information associated with the calling party, wherein the at least one device is operable to perform a lookup of information associated with the calling party in a database, receive the information from the database, and forward the information to a called party.

Abstract: An emergency answering center and a method of handling a distributed denial of service attack on an emergency answering center are provided. The emergency answering center receives an emergency call from a current caller. The emergency answering center determines websites visited by the current caller prior to calling the emergency answering center. If the number of calls received at the emergency answering center within a predetermined time period exceeds a predetermined threshold, the emergency answering center compares the websites visited by the current caller prior to calling the emergency answering center to a list of websites visited by other callers within the predetermined time period. If the websites visited by the current caller match at least a subset of the list of websites visited by other callers within the predetermined time period, the emergency answering center processes the emergency call in an alternate manner that is different from the regular manner of processing emergency calls.

Abstract: Systems and methods for testing a text-to-911 system of a public safety answering point (PSAP) are described herein. The systems and methods provide for an administrative line that the PSAP, whereby a user can test the PSAP and determine if information that would be used by the PSAP in the case of an emergency is correct.

Abstract: One example method of operation may include determining a call received from a calling party and intended for a subscriber device has an elevated likelihood of being a scam call, determining a percentage of calls over a current period of time being filtered as scam calls by a carrier server, when the percentage of calls being filtered as scam calls during the current period of time is above a call threshold percentage, retrieving call history information associated with a subscriber profile of the subscriber device, identifying one or more call patterns from the call history information of the subscriber profile corresponding to the received call, and determining whether to permit the received call based on the identified one or more call patterns.

Abstract: A system can be operable to receive a call from a communication device and identify whether the call is a spoofed based on, for example, whether a caller party user equipment associated with a caller identification number (caller ID number) is in an “idle” status, whether there are inconsistencies in the geographic location associated with a calling party's network and the geographic location determined to be associated with the caller ID number presented, and whether the phone number presented as the caller ID number is registered with a calling party's network.

Abstract: A novel mobile terminal is provided. The mobile terminal includes a display screen element, a battery element, and a machine chip element separately disposed. Because the main functional components in the mobile terminal, such as the display screen element, the battery element, and the machine chip, are arranged separately, a shape of the display screen is no longer restricted by the shape of the functional components, such as the battery and the chip, and can be set to any shapes. Thus, a flexible screen can be bent arbitrarily, and the problems that the flexible display screen disposed in the conventional mobile terminal is subject to the shape of functional components and cannot be bent arbitrarily are solved.

Some embodiments pertain to a method that includes receiving a wide field of view video, receiving position data from a remote coupled user device, selecting a region of interest in the video based on the received position data, extracting the region of interest from the video, generating region metadata describing the extracted region of interest, encoding the extracted region of interest of the video, and transmitting the encoded video with the region metadata to the user device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing called devices with sets of context data associated with communication sessions are disclosed. In one implementation, a method for generating context data associated with a communications session may include receiving, from a calling device at a first subsystem, a request to establish a communications session. The request may include a first identifier associated with the calling device. The method may further include receiving, at a second subsystem, activities data associated with the calling device that transmitted the request to establish the communications session. The activities data may include a second identifier associated with the calling device and may be indicative of device activities of the calling device.

Abstract: A method of providing a recent call list of calls recently received or initiated by a telecommunications device where information on recent services which are services recently handled by or using the telecommunications device other than calls are incorporated as entries in a recent call list of the telecommunications device. Each entry can be formed by a data structure being composed of a plurality of data fields. Each data field can include a data value. An entry representing a recent service other than a call in the recent call list can include a service code identifying a recent service as a data value. A device, system, and apparatus can be configured to utilize or execute the method.

Abstract: Calls initiated from disconnected phone numbers and calls initiated from phone numbers that initiate calls to disconnected numbers can be indicative of robocalls. Disconnected numbers and phone numbers that have initiated calls to disconnected numbers are identified and assigned a robocall score that indicates a likelihood that a call initiated from that number is a robocall. A communication network that subscribes to a robocall detection service can request a robocall score associated with an originating number associated with a received call, and then handle the call according to the robocall score.

For instance, systems and methods described herein optimize both the transmission and display of one or more video conference data streams. Systems and methods described herein optimize the transmission and display of one or more video conference data streams by identifying a context associated with the one or more video conference data streams and optimizing the one or more video conference data streams based on the identified context.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for providing enhanced incoming call notifications for users who utilized a relay application designed for those with speech, visual, or hearing impairments or disabilities. An indication that a calling party is attempting to initiate an incoming call intended for a receiving party that utilizes a relay application that assists users having hearing, visual, or speech disabilities is received by an intermediate party. A chat session is established utilizing the relay application between the intermediate party and the calling party. Additionally, a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) session is established that does not include a voice session. Upon the chat session being terminated from within the relay application, the VoIP session is terminated.

A method may include receiving a communication originating from a user, transposing an alias transport network over one or more existing networks to route the communication, and routing the communication based on mapping rules.

Abstract: A system and a method for switching call agents in telecommunications relay service includes a TRS server system. The TRS server system includes a voice handler for processing voice data, a text handler for processing text data, and a controller for controlling, establishing, and terminating voice paths and data paths. The voice handler transmits a peer's voice to a first CA such that the first CA transcribes and converts the peer's voice into text data. The text handler receives the text data generated by the first CA. The controller selects a second CA; establishes a voice path and a data path between the second CA and the TRS server system; and terminate the voice path and data path associated with the first CA.
