  • Patent number: 11647112
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing call center-based automated interface with network switches for Internet service diagnostics and provisioning. In various embodiments, in response to receiving a request by a call center user to access an Internet service customer account, a computing system may access information regarding the Internet service customer account that is stored in a database, may identify a network switch that is configured to provide Internet service to customer premises equipment (“CPE”) disposed at a customer premises associated with the customer, based at least in part on the accessed information, and may autonomously access, from other databases, information associated with the Internet service customer account and with a network profile. The computing system may integrate the accessed information, may generate and present a user interface (“UI”) displaying the accessed information, and may autonomously initiate one or more diagnosis and repair procedures.

  • Patent number: 11647113
Abstract: A system and method for maintaining a grey list for controlling incoming calls from numbers on a telephone network. Information associated with previous calls received by the telephone is stored in the form of a grey list. The stored information includes an indication of whether each of the previously received calls passed a previous challenge. Based on the stored information, when an incoming call is received, a determination is made whether the incoming call corresponds to a call that passed a previous challenge. The incoming call connected to the telephone if the stored information indicates that the incoming call previously passed a challenge. An action is taken if the stored information does not indicate that the incoming call previously passed the challenge. The action may include blocking the call, allowing the call or providing a current challenge to the call.

  • Patent number: 11641447
Abstract: A new real-time video communication device improves the clarity of shared screen by automatically adjusting the key frame's quantization parameter values. The adjustment depends on the underlying network's connection condition. When the connection bandwidth deteriorates, the key frame's quantization parameter value is further decreased on the value output from a standard H.264 encoder to derive a desirable quantization parameter value and thus achieve a desirable user experience of the shared screen. Moreover, the new real-time video communication device adjusts the frame rate of the shared screen based on the present quantization parameter value to achieve a more desirable user experience of the screen sharing.

  • Patent number: 11641448
Abstract: There is provided an information processing apparatus and an information processing method capable of reducing a sense of delay given to a user. The information processing apparatus includes an acquisition section; an encoding section; a context recognition section; a priority data extraction section; and a communication section. The acquisition section acquires data relating to a transmission point. The encoding section encodes the data relating to the transmission point. The context recognition section sets data to be preferentially transmitted from the data relating to the transmission point on the basis of a situation of the transmission point recognized using the data relating to the transmission point. The priority data extraction section extracts the preferentially transmitted data as priority data on the basis of a setting in the context recognition section.

  • Patent number: 11616873
Abstract: A communication device and an output sidetone adjustment method thereof are disclosed. The method includes the steps of: receiving a far-end sound; receiving a near-end sound to form a sidetone and obtaining an average input volume of the near-end sound; detecting ambient noise of the near-end sound; analyzing an average noise volume and a noise frequency band of the ambient noise to determine whether the average noise volume of the ambient noise is higher than the average input volume; if yes, adjusting the volume of the sidetone in a specific frequency band by increasing it by a first gain value to form an adjusted sidetone, wherein the specific frequency band and the noise frequency band of the ambient noise belong to the same frequency band or different frequency bands; and outputting the adjusted sidetone and the far-end sound.
