Abstract: An apparatus, configured and adapted for scalding slaughtered poultry, includes a scalding tank, which is open at the top, for receiving and for holding a liquid scalding medium, and a transport means, arranged above the scalding tank, for transporting the poultry in a hanging manner within the scalding tank along a scalding channel formed of a plurality of scalding channel sections from an input region to an output region. There is formed beneath the scalding channel a receiving compartment for scalding medium. There is arranged inside the receiving compartment at least one pump device as a turbulence-generating body for forming a pressure chamber which acts along the entire scalding channel. A corresponding method is also provided.

Abstract: A system useful to protect a real estate property includes at least one sensor configured to monitor presence of a nuisance animal on the real estate property, a computerized control module including programming to diagnose the presence of the nuisance animal based upon data from the at least one sensor, and at least one mobile robotic device. The mobile robotic device is configured to move to a location of the nuisance animal on the real estate property based upon the data from the at least one sensor and emulate a predator to move the nuisance animal.
Abstract: A cat litter box is designed to be folded into a compact form for storage and shipment to a customer and unfolded by the customer for use. When it is time to replace the litter box, the cat litter box can be refolded back into a compact form for disposal. A lid protects the box during storage and shipment.

Abstract: A laboratory animal restraint includes a glove and a claw detachably connected to the glove. The claw includes a first retaining member and a second retaining member. Abstract: The technology as disclosed herein includes a method and apparatus for deboning a meat item, and more particular for deboning a poultry item including performing an initial shoulder cut for removing boneless breast meat from the poultry carcass or frame. The method and apparatus disclosed and claimed herein is a combination of a robotic arm including an ultrasonic knife implement and a vision system for varying the cut path based on the shape and size of the poultry item. The combination as claimed including the ultrasonic knife can perform a meat cut while penetrating the meat with less force than the typical penetration that occurs when using a traditional knife.
Abstract: A pet bed covering system is disclosed. The system may include a pet bed and a pet bed cover. A pet bed cover may have an outer sleeve that wraps about the pet bed with attachment features whereby the pet bed cover may be retained in position about the pet bed. The outer sleeve may have a pet opening edge whereby a pet may enter and exit from the pet bed. In this manner, the pet may be kept warm while resting on the pet bed.
Abstract: A method for processing carcasses of livestock, includes the processing steps of: positioning a hanging livestock carcass; making an incision along the spine of the positioned hanging livestock carcass; loosening the meat from opposite sides of the feather bones of the spine; and splitting the spine of the carcass. A device for processing carcasses of livestock is arranged for enabling the process steps.

Abstract: A peritoneum removal assembly for removing the peritoneum from a cut of raw meat includes a rod that has a pair of polygonal sections that can be engaged by a chuck on a power drill thereby facilitating the rod to be rotated about a lengthwise axis of the rod. A slot is integrated into the rod such that a peritoneum on a cut of raw meat can be extended through the slot. The slot extends toward the polygonal section such that the slot rotates about the lengthwise axis of the rod. In this way the slot facilitates the peritoneum to wrap around the rod when the power drill is turned on for removing the peritoneum from the cut of raw meat.
Abstract: A system and method for removing a bone from a primal or sub primal meat cut that includes a conveyance system having a continuous conveyor extending along a path of conveyance from an upstream point at the loading end to a downstream point at the discharge. The system includes a pair of opposing support surfaces projecting vertically upward from a first position of the continuous conveyor along the path of conveyance whereby each of the opposing support surfaces of the pair inwardly extend one toward the other, from an upper level downward vertically to a lower level. Each opposing support surface of the pair has a downward slope and each opposing surface of the pair converges at a recessed valley at the lower level.

Abstract: A system for automatic organization, hanging and driving of slaughtered animals installed at the outlet of a slaughtered animals processing station such as a chiller. The cutting performance of the cutting and separating device are significantly improved as the sharpened cutting edge is formed from a groove made on a distal end of the front flank, the outer contour of which groove cuts into the cylindrical portion.
Abstract: A method of mechanically removing skin from animal parts that have a bone part extending therein, including: moving the animal parts, suspended on shackles depending from an overhead conveyor, along a path of travel and cutting the part to separate the skin therefrom. The part moved into a skinning station in which the part is urged into engagement with skinning rolls. The skinning rolls are rotated and engage and draw the skin of the part therebetween. The skin is progressively pulled downwardly and away from underlying meat of the animal part as the part moved forwardly along its path of travel.
Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus for humanely dispatching wounded game in the field comprises a shank with a connecting end, a curved region, and a pointed end connected to a grip formed at the connecting end of the shank, and a finger loop. The grip can further comprise a series or flattened portions configured to engage the gaps in a choke tube in order to remove the choke tube.
