The second hinge member, which is also intended to be mounted to the wall frame or the swing door whichever does not carry the first hinge member, has pivot pins mounted in the guide openings and yieldingly urged by respective springs in the inward direction.

    Abstract: The outer portion of a die stamped metal frame encompassing the outer ends of the electrical connecting pins is subjected to press striking for re-establishing planarity and parallelism of the opposite faces of the patterned pins which have become deformed during the die stamping, before proceeding to the assembly operations. The eventual bending of the pins of the finished product between a bending punch and a contrasting punch is performed on pins having planar and parallel faces thus preventing twisting and slanting of the bent pins.

    Abstract: A door positioning device comprising a housing concealed in a door jamb and a mechanism mounted in the housing for holding the door open in one or more selected positions. The mechanism comprises a cylinder mounted in the housing wherein a slidable piston is mounted. Linkage connects the piston to linkage mounted onto the door, in such a way that when the door opens, the linkage forces the piston upward in the cylinder. A shaft integral with the piston depends from the piston and is moveable with it. The shaft has a plurality of vertically spaced roller receiving recesses formed thereon. The housing has a movably mounted roller biased toward the shaft so as the door opens, the shaft moves upward in the cylinder until the roller moves into one of the vertically spaced recesses whereby the door is held open at a selected position. In this way when a slight pressure is exerted on the door it overcomes bias holding the roller in a recess formed in the shaft, allowing the door to close.

The legs are subdivided into two portions, which are interconnected by means of an intermediate joint. The leg portions are bent in the inoperative position of the carrying handle, so that they come to rest parallel to one another. Thus, the legs are shortened in the inoperative position, so that they do not project over the outer edges, particularly in the case of narrow containers and are instead located within the predetermined dimensions.

    Abstract: An apparatus for forming packaging material into a tubular form includes angularly disposed forming rollers for causing the longitudinal edges of the packaging material to overlap one another so that they can be sealed together. To prevent the packaging material tube from being trapped between adjacent rollers, each of the forming rollers can be provided with one straight roller edge and one chamfered roller edge. The rollers are positioned such that the chamfered roller edge of one forming roller cooperates with the straight roller edge of the adjacent roller, thereby defining a nip directed generally tangentially to an adjacent portion of the packaging material tube. Alternatively, to achieve the same objective, two different types of forming rollers can be employed, one type in which both roller edges are straight and another type in which both roller edges are chamfered. In this latter case, the two types of rollers are alternated with one another.

The carrier part and the reaward handle conjointly define an interface and an unlatchable detent is disposed at this interface for self-latching the rearward handle on the carrier part at any one of a plurality of predetermined angular positions about the horizontal axis.     Abstract: A tooth for use in a comminuter roll comprises a roll of spring steel having a first end formed into a point or other abrading shape. The tooth is compressed upon insertion into a mounting hole in the roll and the inherent spring of the steel tends to force the tooth back to its original size, thereby creating forces on the interior of the mounting hole to form an interference fit that holds the tooth in place in the mounting hole. In a preferred embodiment, the tooth is formed of a roll of spring steel having a G-shaped cross section. This shape provides an opening through the length of the tooth and also leaves a solid piece in the center of the tooth to aid in tooth removal. A rod can be slipped through the lengthwise opening of the first tooth so that its end abuts the solid center portion of the second tooth that is colinearly mounted in the other end of the hole that the first tooth is mounted in. Tapping the rod will force the second tooth out of its hole without disturbing the first tooth.
