Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for utilizing sensor data to automatically determine the results of events within a system. Upon receiving sensor data indicative of an event, the techniques may analyze the sensor data to determine a result of the event, such as that a particular user associated with a user identifier selected a particular item associated with an item identifier. Contents of a virtual shopping cart of the user may be maintained based on this automated analysis of sensor data. In some instances, when a confidence level associated with a result is less than a threshold, the sensor data may be sent to a client computing device for analysis by a human user. Further, when the result of an event changes from a first result to a second result, other events already processed may be reprocessed to ensure accuracy of the results.

Abstract: Techniques for providing a pre-moderation feature for content that is submitted for a web page are described herein. For example, data may be received for a content submission of a web site prior to the content being incorporated into the web site. Text and images included in the data may be extracted based on a recognition algorithm. A determination that at least one of the extracted text or the extracted images include non-compliant content may be made based on compliance policies. In embodiments, a warning may be generated that corresponds to non-compliant text or non-compliant images included in the extracted text or images. The warning may be transmitted to a user device associated with the content submission.

Abstract: A method for determining product price information, includes capturing a data signal including image data, voice data, and/or keypad input data, the captured data signal including information related to a price of a product, to a point of retail of the product and to a type of the product; determining metadata including a geographic position of the capturing and a time of the capturing; determining a piece of product price information including the type of the product, the price of the product, and the point of retail by analyzing the captured data signal; determining credibility data of the piece of product price information; and including the piece of product price information, the metadata and the respective credibility data into a database.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and system for providing item recommendations to a user in a virtual marketplace. A virtual persona associated with a primary account number is identified. A merchant data request message requesting merchant data identifying preferred merchants to whom transactions have been made from the first payment account using the PAN is sent to a first remote server. In response, a set of merchant data associated with preferred merchants is received from the first remote server. An item data request message requesting item data associated with the preferred merchants is sent to a second remote server. In response, a set of item data associated with items that are associated with at least one of the preferred merchants is received from the second remote server. A recommendation of at least one of the items is provided to the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining location-based bid modifier suggestions include determining a content placement cost based in part on a likelihood of a user that has entered a physical establishment completing a transaction, an average transaction amount for the establishment, and an expected return on investment (ROI). A location-based bid modifier may be determined using the computed cost and a base bid amount. In some implementations, the location-based bid modifier may also be based on a probability model that models the probability of the user visiting the establishment.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for personalized network content generation and redirection according to time intervals between repeated instances of behavior. A computing device determines an expectation of a specific entity repeating a behavior associated with an item based at least in part on a time interval between prior occurrences of the behavior by the specific entity. The computing device then selects the item from a plurality of items based at least in part on the expectation of the specific entity repeating the behavior. Subsequently, the computing device generates a network page including a recommendation to repeat the behavior. Next, the computing device sends the network page to a client device associated with the specific entity.

Abstract: System and computer-implemented image search engine of analyzing tags associated with a sequence of images presented to a user to present a current object of interest of the user is disclosed. An image from among a plurality of images is presented on an electronic display. The image is associated with a set of tags. An input is received indicating a user's preference for the image. A plurality of tags is processed based on the preference and the set of tags to determine a next set of tags from the plurality of tags. A next image is determined from the plurality of images based on the next set of tags. The next image represents a physical object, different from a physical object represented by the previous image. A sequence of images is generated by repeating the above process with the next image in place of the previous image for present a user's current object of interest.

The machine generates one or more selectable user interface elements for inclusion in a user interface. The one or more user interface elements correspond to the one or more fashion items. The machine causes generation and display of the user interface that includes the one or more selectable user interface elements. A selection of a selectable user interface element results in display of a combination of an image of a particular fashion item and an image of an item worn by the user.

In one embodiment, an appropriate computing entity can determine whether a message comprises an action identifier in the message. Abstract: A method of and system for purchasing an item using contributions from multiple people enables multiple users to contribute towards a gift. Typically the gift is one that each user would not purchase individually, but as a group, each user is able to contribute a portion of the total payment. Preferably, a gift host selects the gift, provides desired information and invited contributors are informed of the gift by email. The invited contributors then provide the necessary information to contribute before a deadline is reached. If the contributions are enough to purchase the gift, the gift is purchased and is given to a gift receiver.

Abstract: Fraud detection is facilitated by developing account cluster membership rules and converting them to database queries via an examination of clusters of linked accounts abstracted from the customer database. The cluster membership rules are based upon certain observed data patterns associated with potentially fraudulent activity. In one embodiment, account clusters are grouped around behavior patterns exhibited by imposters. The system then identifies those clusters exhibiting a high probability of fraud and builds cluster membership rules for identifying subsequent accounts that match those rules. The rules are designed to define the parameters of the identified clusters. When the rules are deployed in a transaction blocking system, when a rule pertaining to an identified fraudulent cluster is triggered, the transaction blocking system blocks the transaction with respect to new users who enter the website.
