Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to systems and methods for provisioning and using a multi-purpose device. The device contains information regarding a plurality of memberships. The device contains one or more membership certificate chains, comprising multiple certificates, wherein a membership provider certificate is signed by a private key associated with a membership root certificate authority, and wherein a member certificate is signed by a private key associated with the membership provider certificate. The member certificate includes member attributes regarding the user, such as member benefit information. The device also includes a payment certificate chain, comprising multiple certificates, wherein a payment provider certificate is signed by a private key associated with a payment root certificate authority, and wherein a payment certificate is signed by a private key associated with the payment provider certificate.

Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for use in carrying out a transaction between a transaction device and a point of interaction. In connection therewith, a device for interacting with a point of interaction to carry out a transaction by a consumer includes a processor comprising a payment application and a system environment module, where the system environment module is configured to determine whether the payment application is eligible for a transaction. The device also includes an input in communication with the processor and configured to receive transaction data from a point of interaction in connection with the transaction, and an output in communication with the processor and configured to transmit transaction data to the point of interaction in connection with the transaction when the system environment module determines that the payment application is eligible for the transaction.

Abstract: Online fraud prevention including receiving a rules set to detect fraud, mapping the rules set to a data set, mapping success data to members of the rules set, filtering the members of the rules set, and ordering members of the data set by giving priority to those members of the data set with a greater probability for being fraudulent based upon the success data of each member of the rule set in detecting fraud. Further, a receiver coupled to an application server to receive a rules set to detect fraud, and a server coupled to the application server, to map the rules set to a data set, and to map the success data to each members of the rules set. The server is used to order the various members of the data set by giving priority to those members of the data set with a greatest probability for being fraudulent.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in processing transactions based on biometric data used in connection with authenticating consumers to payment accounts to which the transactions are directed. One exemplary method includes prompting a consumer to provide a biometric in connection with a transaction by the consumer, and receiving a payment account credential specific to a payment account for use in the transaction. The method also includes appending a biometric score and an indication of a biometric technology used to capture the biometric to an authorization request associated with the transaction, and transmitting, by the computing device, the authorization request to an issuer.

Abstract: A zero-step authentication system and method which uses wireless mobile devices to automatically make payments in a secure manner without requiring the customer to handle his or her mobile device. The system and method use a payment facilitation device at the business location which automatically detects and recognizes registered mobile devices, displays a photo of the customer to a business employee for identity confirmation, and automatically deducts payments for purchases from a pre-authorized customer account. The customer account is managed by a payment processing server, which stores the customer account data, makes appropriate deductions, sends confirmation of deductions to the customer's mobile device, and automatically refills the customer's account by making pre-authorized charges to the customer's banking institution.

Abstract: In some embodiments a wagering game system comprises a personal area network device configured to render media content including results of a wagering game. The system can include a wagering game machine configured to determine and provide the wagering game results to the personal area network device. The wagering game machine can include a personal area network device transceiver configured to exchange data with the personal area network device, the data including the wagering game results, and a personal area network controller configured to detect the personal area network device, to procure an identification code for the personal area network device without player input, and to authenticate the personal area network device by use of the identification code. The system can also include a repository configured to store the identification code in association with a player identifier and to provide the identification code to the wagering game machine upon request.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein disclose a mobile device system for displaying contactless payment options to a user of a mobile device. A location of the device may be detected. The location may be transmitted to a payment services provider, and information indicating that the location corresponds to a merchant having contactless payment options may be received. In response, graphical depictions of payment options associated with a plurality of payment sources are displayed on a touch-sensitive display of the mobile device. A selection of one of the graphical depictions is received, and in response, one or more transceivers of the mobile device, such as one or more NFC transceivers, may be activated. The activation may cause the transceivers to transmit a personal account number to a point-of-sale terminal. Thus, the user is presented with contactless payment options based on a geographical location, and may be presented with a suggested payment source.

Abstract: A digital downloading jukebox system including a mechanism for delivering custom services to a recognized user is provided. For example, information specific to a recognized user may be stored and optionally may include a recognized user avatar representative of the recognized user. The user avatar may be an image, video, and/or animation, which may be displayed on and/or played through the jukebox. The user avatar may be associated with transactions associated with the user. For example, an avatar may be displayed when a playlist of the recognized user is played, when a message is sent, etc. In other examples, the avatar may introduce instances of media by playing an audio and/or video message, and the avatar may sing, dance, etc. while an instance of media is playing.

Abstract: Applying funds is disclosed. A set of interfaces for configuring filtering criteria and receiving user configurations of the filtering criteria is displayed. Fund information pertaining to a fund that is to be applied to one or more receivables under an insurance policy account is received. A set of eligible receivables is identified based on filtering information included in the fund information and a set of preconfigured filtering criteria. A set of ranked receivable partitions to which the fund is applied is established based on a set of preconfigured priority criteria and using the fund information and information associated with the set of eligible receivables. The fund is applied to the ranked receivables partitions according to the rankings.

Abstract: An alias management and value transfer claim processing system is disclosed. A sending entity initiates value transfer identifying a recipient entity using an alias that is unregistered with the system. The value transfer is authorized, but not settled until the recipient entity registers with the system and claims the value transfer. The registered alias can be used for subsequent value transfers.

Abstract: A system for allowing electronic payments through use of a unique proxy includes a first server, a first registration database and a first lookup database. The first server receives an electronic registration request message, including registration information of a first user, from a financial institution of the first user. The first registration database then copies a subset of the registration information, including a unique proxy of the first user, to the first lookup database as the first user's lookup information. When the first server receives an electronic proxy payment request message, including the unique proxy of the first user, from a financial institution of a second user, the first server looks up the first user's lookup information in the first lookup database on the basis of the unique proxy of the first user and transmits the first user's lookup information to the financial institution of the second user.
