Abstract: In a device (1) for applying an additive to hair comprising a longitudinally extending base part (2) for making contact with the hair during operation, which base part (2) comprises a distribution system (3) for additive, which distribution system (3) has an inlet (4) which is connected to an additive dispenser (5) and has outlets (6) for applying the additive to the hair during operation, a flowpath (7,7′) is present between the inlet (4) and each outlet (6), which flow path comprises at least one ramification point (8), said flow paths (7,7′) having a substantially identical flow resistance measured from the inlet (4) to each outlet (6). Additive originating from the inlet (4) during operation and following the flow paths (7,7′) to each outlet (6) will reach all outlets (6) practically simultaneously, and the additive flow-rate through each outlet is substantially the same.

Abstract: An eyelash curler that can selectively perform all-eyelashes curling and localized eyelashes curling is disclosed. The eyelash curler includes a curler main body, an immobilizing member attached to a top of the curler main body for immobilizing eyelashes, a plurality of first sandwiching-holding members attached to the curler main body underneath the immobilizing member and adapted to sandwich the eyelashes against the immobilizing member, and an operating handle attached to the curler main body for causing the plurality of first sandwiching-holding members to sandwich the eyelashes against the immobilizing member. By selecting a operation mode by a mode-switching switch, each of the plurality of first sandwiching-holding members can be independently pressed against and released from the immobilizing member so that a user can easily perform localized curling of the eyelashes.

Abstract: A hair curler having a spool for receiving a lock of human hair for wrapping thereabout a core disposed between a rim of the spool and a clip having a first portion and a second portion joined together by a hinge, for clamping the spool and the lock of human hair together for producing a curl in the lock of human hair is disclosed. The spool and the clip of the hair curler, in combination, produces a curl in the lock of human hair when the clip is placed on, and releasably secured to the spool with the lock of human hair sandwiched therebetween the spool and the clip without the clip directly contacting the lock of human hair. The first portion and the second portion of the clip are pivotally connected together by a hinge. The first portion and the second portion being biased toward each other when in use by fabricating the clip from a flexible material which inherently allows the material to flex and to bow when the first portion and the second portion of the clip are gently urged toward each other.

Abstract: A cosmetic device comprises an enclosure that contains a liquid color composition and a liquid catalyst composition. The enclosure also comprises a seal that prevents the liquids from mixing when such mixing is not desired, and allows them to be intermixed to form a color altering composition when such mixing is desired. In a preferred embodiment, the seal is a perforatable seal. Methods of using the device involve applying the color altering composition to the skin or hair with an applicator.

Abstract: The process according to the invention comprises twisting a plastically deformable wire, typically of metal, so that it imprisons fibers within it, with the parts of the fibers projecting from the wire forming bristles in a helicoidal spiral, and of shaving off some of the bristles in predefined angular sectors by using the twisted wire to guide the components causing the total or partial ablation of the bristles.

Abstract: A dental floss package includes a dispenser for dispensing a dental floss. The dental floss has a plurality of floss segments. Each floss segment is of a length that is suitable for a single flossing. Adjacent floss segments are different colors. And one of the floss segments is specially marked so that it is distinguishable from the other floss segments. A location indicator is provided to indicate the specific location of the specially marked floss segment along the length of the dental floss from the leading end of the dental floss. The location of the specially marked floss segment is indicated as the number of floss segments into the length dental floss. The location indicator is removably attached to the dispenser so that it can be concealed from the user. When the user encounters the specially marked floss segment, the length of the flossing regimen is calculated and compared to the location information on the location indicator.

Abstract: A nail care system which contains a portable case, drying compartments and drying compartment covers. The drying compartments are vertically oriented on opposite sides of the portable case. The drying compartment covers are pivotally mounted to the portable case and open and close like a gull-wing type door. The vertically oriented drying compartments allow the user to place their hands in a comfortable, vertical position in front of them during the drying process. The vertical orientation also reduces the footprint of the portable case. Further, the nail care device may be adapted to dry toenails.

The shield holder releaseably holds a mascara shield made of soft, flexible sheet material provided with repositionable pressure-sensitive adhesive. The mascara shield is held under the eyelashes when mascara is being applied to avoid deposit of the mascara on the skin below the eyes. The handle is long enough and curved enough to hold the shield in place when it is positioned by hand, without interfering with the mascara-applying hand.

The dispensing head may include an applicator member and a screen. The applicator member may include at least one tooth configured to be placed in contact with hair and moved with respect thereto. The applicator member may also include a duct extending in the at least one tooth along an axial length of the at least one tooth. The duct may be capable of being placed in flow communication with the container. The applicator member may also include an outlet orifice for the duct. The outlet orifice can be oriented to provide outlet flow of product in a direction transverse to an axis of the at least one tooth. The screen may be arranged such that the screen and the at least one tooth define a volume.

Abstract: An open-loop headband assembly includes an open-loop headband and a flickering decoration light device. The flickering decoration light device is provided on the top of the headband and composed by one or more elastic rods and a switching kit. Each elastic rod is made of elastic coil, and at least one flickering diode is provided in the top end of each elastic rod. The flickering diode is covered by a decorative block. The switching kit is disposed on the headband and composed by an electric circuit plate and a cover with a through hole. A battery and a pressing switch are disposed on the electric circuit plate. Wires extend from the bottom of the electric circuit plate and penetrate through the interior of each elastic rod to connect with each flickering diode. The pressing switch protrudes outward the through hole after the cover being assembled with the electric circuit plate.
