Abstract: A checkout system includes a register machine having a camera for capturing an image of a customer initiating a transaction, a checkout machine configured to perform checkout processing on the transaction, and a server in communication with the register machine and the checkout machine. The server includes a storage section in which the transaction information including an image of the customer captured with the camera, is stored, and a processor, which determines whether or not the checkout processing of the transaction has completed and erases the image of the customer at a first timing that is after determining that the checkout processing has completed, if an indication is received that the customer may have left behind an item, and at a second timing that is earlier than the first timing and is after determining that the checkout processing has completed, if the indication is not received.

Abstract: Technologies for enhancing credit transactions include a point of sale computing system. The point of sale computing system receives payment vehicle data for a credit transaction associated with a purchase event. The point of sale computing system determines whether the credit transaction is an alternate routing candidate. The point of sale computing system routes an authorization request message to an issuer computing system via a payment card network in response to a determination that the credit transaction is not an alternate routing candidate. Alternatively, the point of sale computing system routes the authorization request message directly to the issuer computing system via a PIN debit network in response to a determination that the credit transaction is an alternate routing candidate. A corresponding authorization response message is received by the point of sale computing system via the payment card network or the PIN debit network. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

The method can involve, checking a database for historical transaction data, accessing the historical transaction data, and applying one or more predetermined variable consideration rules to the historical transaction data. The method can include automatically analyzing the historical transaction data generating an analysis report based on the data. The method can include uploading predetermined corrections to variable consideration transactions to a database or other storage medium and applying the corrections to historical performance obligation transaction data. The method can include determining whether variable consideration changes should be applied to individual transaction lines within the variable consideration transactions.

The system includes a server coupled with a database and configured to access the data describing inventory policy parameters of a supply chain network, the data describing one or more demand patterns and one or more replenishment patterns of the supply chain network, and the data describing the supply chain network comprising a plurality of entities, each entity configured to supply one or more items to satisfy a demand. The server is further configured to optimize the inventory policy parameters for each of the one or more items according to the one or more demand patterns and the one or more replenishment patterns and store the optimized inventory policy parameters in the database for each of the one or more items.

Abstract: The present invention includes methods and apparatus for the automated provision of goods through the use of scanning systems. More specifically, the present invention provides a method for automatically conveying which goods are being ordered, where the goods will be picked up, an associated method of payment, kitchen fulfillment, item tracking, and automatic delivery by a dispenser apparatus. In preferred embodiments, the present invention is applied to the automated ordering and pick-up of food items at a fast food restaurant and delivery to a food dispenser at a customer location.

During the storage, the server can determine whether the storage condition required for a perishable product is the same as the storage condition of the low-temperature display cabinet which the perishable product is stored. The server can further determine whether the low-temperature display cabinet is operating normally, and issue alerts as to potential reductions in shelf life of the perishable product when abnormal conditions occur. The server can also periodically check for any life-expired food and notify the point of sale terminal to identify and process a life-expired product in certain ways.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system, method, and computer program for dynamically reconciling a retailer receiving invoice with a distributor invoice for products sold and invoiced under multiple UPC codes and in multiple units of quantity. A retailer receiving invoice is matched to to a distributor invoice. For each line item in both invoices, the UPC, quantity, and unit-price are normalized. Invoiced UPCs are normalized to a hierarchy level in a product family a master product database. Also, invoiced unit prices are compared to upper and lower price limits for invoiced UPCs to determine whether an invoiced UPC correlates to an invoiced unit price. Quantity and unit-price are normalized by converting price-correlated units to base-level units in a product hierarchy. Normalized UPCs, quantities, and unit price are compared to match line items across invoices and discover any discrepancies. Credits are matched to discrepancies.
