Abstract: The present invention pertains to the use of the calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR)-activating nutrients (designated as “CaSR-based nutrients”) for the prevention and/or treatment of diarrheal diseases and inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. In one embodiment, the current invention is formulated for oral administration. The anti-diarrheal composition of the present invention is useful for treating diarrheal and gastrointestinal inflammatory conditions in infants and young children.

Abstract: A weightlifting belt includes a flexible strap portion with a first major surface (e.g., a front), a second major surface (e.g., a back), a first longitudinal end, a second longitudinal end, a first lateral side, and a second lateral side. An anchor assembly is in contact with the first major surface of the flexible strap portion near the first longitudinal end of the flexible strap portion. A lever-actuated hook assembly is in contact with the first major surface of the flexible strap portion near the second longitudinal end of the flexible strap portion. The lever-actuated hook assembly is configured to engage the anchor assembly so as to hold the first longitudinal end of the strap portion close to, or in physical contact with, the second longitudinal end of the strap portion so as to form a loop that can fit around a waist of a human.

Abstract: An add-on device adapted to be releasably mounted on a drug delivery device, the add-on device comprising an outer assembly with an add-on dose setting member adapted to be coupled to the outer housing of a pen housing, as well as an inner sensor assembly engaging the pen dose setting member and being in rotational engagement with the add-on dose setting member during dose setting. The invention addresses the issue of providing a stable inner platform for the sensor means, which in accordance with the invention is realized by actuating a clutch between the pen housing and the pen dose setting member during dose sensing, this preventing to a high degree that the inner sensor assembly rotates relative to the drug delivery housing during actuation of the drug expelling means.

Abstract: A system for predicting a resting position of a golf ball may use ball tracking sensor data to identify an impact location of the ball. Modeling of ball movement following impact may be performed that incorporates measured ball impact physics, impact coordinates, and material properties of ground or objects to which the impact coordinates correspond and, together with historical shot data corresponding to the impact coordinates or an encompassing zone, bounce and roll behavior and/or final resting position predictions may be generated.

Abstract: A system, configuration, and method for converting a pair of skis to perform as an emulation snowboard is provided. The system includes a pair of skis, and a coupling device including a platform having an upper planar surface with a plurality of mounting locations with mounting system therein. The mounting system couples the skis together and provides a surface on which a pair of bindings may be affixed. The steps for conversion include providing a pair of skis, removing a ski binding from each ski in the pair of skis, if a binding is installed on either ski in the pair of skis, providing a platform with a mounting system, utilizing the mounting system to affix the platform to each ski in the pair of skis, and attaching a pair of snowboard bindings to the platform.
