Abstract: A jump box for training athletes that eliminates a lot of the hazards of using a traditional jump box. The device has a base, a back frame and a platform the height of which can be adjusted in small increments. The platform is sized and shaped to extend further towards the athlete than any other portion of the jump box making it considerably safer than other devices on the market. In addition, the platform of the jump box is angled downward slightly to make it easier for the athlete to jump on the device. The weight and construction of the device makes it virtually impossible to knock over. In addition, because of the shape and orientation of the platform, athletes can use the box without injuring themselves if they miss a jump.
Abstract: A weighted pad for weightlifting is described herein. The weighted pad can be applied to any area of the body to provide additional padding, reduce redness, pain, and bruising. It can be used with dumbbells, barbells, free weights, or any other weight applied over the joints or musculoskeletal regions, making it highly versatile for various exercise.
Abstract: An end platform for an exercise machine for increased support of an exerciser's spine, neck and head which allows for an expanded scope of exercises that cannot otherwise be performed on the machine without the improved platform. The end platform for an exercise machine generally includes a novel, ergonomically improved stationary platform affixed to at least one opposed end of a substantially longitudinal exercise machine that includes at least a resistance biased reciprocating platform. The improved end platform provides for increased support of exercisers' spine, neck and head, thereby allowing for an expanded scope of exercises that cannot otherwise be performed on the machine without the improved platform, and further provides for the attachment of new and novel exercise equipment accessories to the exercise machine.

Abstract: A pedal-driven exercise machine is designed for an exerciser in a seated position to do pedaling. The pedal-driven exercise machine is equipped with a main body portion, a crank unit that is rotatably supported by the main body portion, a pedal unit that is rotatably supported by the crank unit, and a foot space securing unit that secures a foot space at a foot of the exerciser by retreating the pedal unit from the foot of the exerciser when the pedal-driven exercise machine is out of use.
Abstract: According to the present disclosure, there is provided a coating determining device of a coating head that can prevent coating defect caused by clogging in multiple successive coatings. The coating determining device according to the present disclosure can determine a coating state of the coating head, wherein the coating head having a plurality of nozzles for ejecting paint, the plurality of nozzles being configured to eject the paint out of the nozzles so as to coat a workpiece with the ejected paint while moving in a direction, the coating determining device of the coating head being characterized by comprising: an image acquiring unit for acquiring an image of the coated workpiece; and a determination unit for determining, based on the image acquired by the image acquiring unit, whether coating the workpiece is implemented normally.
Abstract: A pedaling exercise device includes a rotation mechanism configured to pivotally support a rotation shaft to allow rotation, a pair of cranks having first ends connected to both ends of the rotation shaft of the rotation mechanism, respectively, a pair of links having first ends rotatably connected to second ends of the cranks, respectively, and having second ends provided with wheels, respectively, a pair of pedal portions connected to the links along a longitudinal direction of the links, respectively, a rolling surface connected to a first end of the rotation mechanism on a user side, and a restriction portion configured to restrict separation of the wheels from the upper surface of the rolling surface in a case where the first end of the rotation mechanism is lifted such that the rotation mechanism is erected in a state where a second end of the rotation mechanism is grounded.

Abstract: A climbing exercise apparatus having ipsilateral and contralateral modes of operation may include a frame supporting generally vertically oriented frame members in spaced apart relationship to one another fixedly secured to a base of the frame. The vertically oriented members may support endless belt and pulley systems. Handlebars and foot supports may be connected to upper and lower carriage members engaging the endless belt to establish ipsilateral and contralateral configurations of the climbing exercise apparatus.
Abstract: A needle shield assembly for use with a needle assembly is disclosed. The needle shield assembly includes an elongate needle shield comprising a shield portion, a hub connection portion and a bridge portion including a living hinge having a thickness. The bridge portion joins the hub connection portion and the shield portion. The hub connection portion includes a partially circular receiving ring having a diameter sized to frictionally receive a flange of a hub of the needle assembly. The shield portion includes two longitudinal walls defining a cavity and a needle assembling receiving cavity between the two longitudinal walls defining a recess. The shield portion is configured to pivot from an open position in which a needle cannula is exposed, to a closed needle protecting position in which a distal end of the needle cannula is within the longitudinal opening of the shield.
Abstract: The disclosure provides an apparatus for exercising muscles of the head and/or neck. The apparatus comprises a harness, and a plate is pivotably connected to the harness. The plate is movable between a collapsed position and an exercise position where a back of the head of the user can engage with the plate. A biasing member biases the plate towards the collapsed position.
Abstract: A method for treating a herniated intervertebral disc is provided, the method including implanting an electrode mount crossing an annulus fibrosus of the herniated intervertebral disc of a subject, such that the electrode mount holds at least one intra-pulposus exposed electrode surface in place in a nucleus pulposus of the herniated intervertebral disc. Control circuitry is activated to treat disc herniation by creating an electric potential difference between the at least one intra-pulposus exposed electrode surface and one or more extra-pulposus exposed electrode surfaces implanted outside the nucleus pulposus in electrical communication with the herniated intervertebral disc. Other embodiments are also described.
Abstract: An exercise step and method of exercising a user's legs is disclosed. The exercise step includes a main body which has a substantially planar and horizontally oriented upper wall and a sloped wall extending from bottommost surface of the exercise step to the upper wall. In use, a user steps on the sloped wall with a heel portion of his or her foot and raises the heel portion such that a sole portion of his or her foot is supported by the upper wall.
