  • Patent number: 9526032
Abstract: Client devices with wireless functionality, but without wide area network or cellular network functionality, can obtain network access via a host device, where the host device has network access. Such network access can be obtained when a client device of a user is in local range of a host device, e.g., of a different user. The host device may enable network bandwidth sharing with settings that specify a threshold of resource usage (e.g., battery or bandwidth limit). An authentication process can confirm that either one or both of a client device and a host device are registered for the network bandwidth sharing. A server can monitor the amount of resources shared by the host device, and manage incentives to the user of the host device.

  • Patent number: 9490944
Abstract: Values representative of modulation signal components are extracted from a modulated signal. The modulated signal contains a modulation signal. A local clock signal is developed which correlates in time to the modulated signal and has a plurality of non-overlapping phase sectors per cycle. The modulated signal is accumulated into an accumulated value, separately for at least one phase sector of one cycle of the local clock signal. Each accumulated value is representative of a modulation signal component. The modulated signal accumulated is of an amount representative of the mathematical integral of the modulated signal during each phase sector of the local clock over which the modulated signal is accumulated.

  • Patent number: 9484968
Abstract: An input signal having at least one modulated signal is captured. At least four analog sample streams are generated from the input signal. Each analog sample stream is generated by sampling the input signal at a frequency substantially equal to the frequency at which each other analog sample stream is generated and at a phase separate from that at which each other analog sample stream is generated. • Patent number: 9484969
Abstract: Values representative of modulation signal components are extracted from a modulated signal. The modulated signal contains a modulation signal. A periodic time segment sequence is defined having at least four ordered time segments. Multiple sets of signal values are acquired from the modulated signal. For each signal value, a difference in the modulated signal during each of two of the ordered time segments is acquired, as the signal value. The two ordered time segments differ in their order within the sequence by half of the number of ordered time segments in the sequence. Each set is acquired over multiple repetitions of the periodic time segment sequence. Each set is acquired during different ordered time segments than each other set. Each signal value is representative of a modulation signal component.

  • Patent number: 9479945
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed that determine network parameters to be used by a wireless terminal. Network traffic history data is acquired. Each entry of the network traffic history data relates to network parameters of traffic flows between a network node and a wireless terminal. Which number of clusters to be used for representing the network traffic history data is determined by optimizing a generic utility function representing at least one network parameter of said network parameters of traffic flows. Each entry of the acquired network traffic history data is associated with one of the number of clusters by constrained clustering of the acquired network traffic history data. The constrained clustering uses a biased distance measure. Each cluster is associated with network parameters to be used by a wireless terminal based on the network traffic history data associated with each cluster.

  • Patent number: 9478919
Abstract: A detection device detects the integrity of a connection between respective connectors of two devices. The detection device includes a control chip, an electronic switch, and an alarm member. The control chip is connected to the alarm member through the electronic switch. When the detection device works, the control chip is connected to the detection pin of the first connector. When the first connector is properly connected to the second connector, the detection pin outputs a first signal to the control chip causing the electronic switch to be off. When the first connector is connected with the second connector improperly, the detection pin outputs a second signal and the control chip turns on the electronic switch, sounding an alarm.
