Abstract: A system trains usage of a firearm and includes an end unit, a processing subsystem, and a control subsystem remotely located from the end unit. The end unit includes an image sensor that is positioned against a target that has a bar code. The image sensor defines a field of view of a scene that includes the target, and the bar code stores encoded information that defines a target coverage zone. The system selectively operates in a first mode and a second mode according to input from the control subsystem. In the first mode the end unit scans the bar code to extract the target coverage zone. In the second mode the image sensor captures a series of images of the target coverage zone, and the processing subsystem analyzes regions of the captured series of images to determine a strike, by a projectile of the firearm, on the target.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device, a teaching aid, and a platform for computing mathematics, and the method for providing the same, which especially provides a method for making the meanings of mathematical equations intuitively and stereoscopically understood by computing various mathematics and expressing their processes with engraving objects (e.g., cube, block, etc.), a computing device/teaching aid for providing the method and the platform for providing various services through a mathematical computation using engraving objects. In particular, the teaching aid for computing mathematics provides a sequence board and a plurality of cubes which are arranged and rearranged on the sequence board, so that various mathematical problems and computing processes for the mathematical problems can be visually expressed in three-dimension and a user can intuitively understand the principles and solutions of the mathematical problems.
Abstract: A firearm training system includes a firearm, a sensor, a data processor, and a display. The sensor measures and records the motion of the firearm before, during, and after the firearm is shot. In some embodiments, the sensor is located on the firearm. The sensor communicates with the data processor. In some instances this communication is conducted wirelessly. Data regarding the movement of the firearm is analyzed via the data processor and trends are determined. These trends are then correlated with shooting technique deficiencies which can be communicated to a user via the display. In some embodiments, the data processor and display are a single computing device, such as a tablet, smartphone, or laptop.
Abstract: A portable dry fire practice shooting system includes a first base supporting a target. A second base is associated with the first base such that the distance between the first base and the second base can be selectively adjusted. The second base includes a portable electronic device retaining mechanism for holding a portable electronic device on the second base so as to align a camera of the portable electronic device with the target. A software application downloaded onto the portable electronic device utilizes the camera of the portable electronic device to detect light spots reflecting from the target.
Abstract: A shooting simulation system and method. The system includes a plurality of firearms. Each firearm is associated with a separate soldier having a man-worn computer, a location device for determining a location of the soldier, an optical system for capturing an image where the captured image provides information on a trajectory of a virtual bullet fired from a shooting firearm, and an orientation device for obtaining the orientation of the firearm when shooting the firearm. The optical system is aligned with a sight of the shooting firearm and captures the image when shooting the firearm. The system also includes a shooter/target location resolution module for identifying a valid target and a target image recognition module for determining an impact location where a virtual bullet from the shooting firearm would impact within the captured image and determining if an identified target from the captured image is a hit or a miss.
Abstract: An electrically actuated tactical training device for simulating trauma/injury to a selected region of a tactical operator/trainee's body, such as the torso or an extremity, during a training exercise. The tactical training device delivers a tetany inducing stimulus to a selected muscle group, such as in an extremity or in the torso of a trainee thereby simulating a tactical injury to the stimulated muscle group.
Abstract: A module assembly includes a device. The device comprises a base structure and a flat planar top surface located at an upper portion of the base structure. The module assembly further includes an electrical source coupled to the base structure of the module to provide power to the device. A plurality of components is coupled to the device at the top surface. Each component of the plurality of components is coupled to the electrical source and the plurality of components combine to purpose a particular technical function. A module system comprises at least two module assemblies coupled together. The module system may purpose a combined technical function.
