  • Patent number: 10552558
Abstract: A design tool can implement phase algebra based design evaluation to evaluate a circuit design with a compact representation of numerous waveforms without simulating the individual waveforms. The design tool can determine two or more input sequences of signal transition representations associated with an input net of an indicated component in an RTL circuit design, where the two or more input sequences of signal transition representations are associated with a mode element. Each signal transition representation represents a nondeterministic transition from a previous signal state to possible signal state(s). The mode element indicates a selection between two or more output sequences of signal transition representations. It is determined, based on the indicated component and the mode element, two or more output sequences of signal transition representations derived from the input sequence(s) of signal transition representations.

  • Patent number: 10546095
Abstract: Reducing the runtime overhead needed for testing of an integrated circuit design. A determination may be made of parameters that clock routing and data routing in an integrated circuit are dependent upon. A determination is made of whether the parameters are suitable for compaction, such as by determining whether the parameters are utilized in only one of clock routing or data routing. The parameters suitable for compaction are defined or redefined into at least one proxy compacted parameter. A timing analysis for the integrated circuit is performed using the proxy compacted parameter instead of performing the timing analysis using the parameters suitable for compaction.

  • Patent number: 10540466
Abstract: An exemplary emulation computer may allocate a portion of its emulation memory for capturing probe data during a runtime of emulating a device under test (DUT). The emulation computer may instantiate a plurality of streaming probes from dynamic netlists provided by a user. The streaming probes may capture non-transitory internal signals within the DUT and transmit the captured non-transitory internal signals to the allocated portion of the emulation memory, which in turn may store the received signals as waveform data records. During the runtime of emulating the DUT, the emulation computer may receive an upload request for the waveform data records from a workstation computer. In response to the request, the emulation computer may transmit the waveform data records to the workstation computer. The emulation computer does not have to pause or stop the runtime of emulating the DUT while transmitting the data records to the workstation computer.
