  • Patent number: 6415499
Abstract: A tool for stripping the jacket, conductive braid and dielectric layer of a coaxial cable to the correct length required for attachment to a coaxial cable connector, and for attaching the stripped end of the coaxial cable to a coaxial cable connector by means of crimping. The stripping portion of the tool has a dual blade cutter that has preset blade separation, fixed cutting depths, and includes preset spring pressure to insure a complete cut. The tool further includes means for applying the force needed to hexagonally crimp a compression crimp ring having a length of up to ½ inch on a standard coaxial cable connector in order to attach the connector to the stripped cable. The invention provides an economical tool, and method for using the tool, for hex crimping a compression crimp ring of up to ½ inch in length on standard coaxial cable connectors.

  • Patent number: 6412156
Abstract: In a multiple spindle processing unit which can change processing locations of a work in accordance with a modification made to the work, the present invention is intended to facilitate changes of design corresponding to the modification made to the work and reduce the number of parts to be replaced. In a frame member which is guided and supported so as to be moved towards and away from a work, insertion holes are formed at a plurality of locations corresponding to processing locations of the work. In each of a plurality of tool main spindle assemblies, a main spindle having a front end portion where a chuck for mounting a tool is provided is coaxially journaled in a housing in the shape of a circular cylinder or a polygonal cylinder and is rotationally driven by a built-in motor. Each of the tool main spindle assemblies is mounted to the frame member with the housing inserted through the insertion hole.

  • Patent number: 6406229
Abstract: A clamp for securing an oversized work-piece to a milling machine table using the T-slot on the front surface of a Bridgeport-type milling machine table. The clamp, when attached to the T-slot, extends beyond the table and over it where it can be tightened down on a work-piece to hold it to the top surface of the table. The clamp includes a heel block and a clamp block held in spaced relation by a separation bolt and a tightening bolt. To mill an oversized work-piece, the clamp is inserted into the T-slot and then the separation distance of the clamp block to the heel block is adjusted by rotating the clamp block around the separation bolt until the separation distance is slightly wider than the thickness of the work-piece. The tightening bolt is then used to tighten the clamp onto the work-piece. The nose end of the heel block can be shaped to match the profile of the T-slot or can be modified to allow the nose to be rotated into the slot by rounding its corners.
