  • Patent number: 11375252
Abstract: A transmitting apparatus generates an audiovisual content item data stream (e.g. transport stream) comprising a plurality of individual audiovisual data streams with audiovisual components for the content item. A generator (301-307) generates a first stream comprising both mandatory audio data and replaceable audio data for the audio representation where the replaceable audio data being data can be replaced by alternative audio data. A combiner (309) includes the resulting stream into the content item data stream. A receiving apparatus includes an extractor (403) which extracts the mandatory audio data from the received stream. A replacer (415) may replace the replaceable audio data by alternative audio data and an output (415) can generate an audio signal from the mandatory and alternative audio data. The approach may specifically provide an improved and more flexible data stream for audiovisual content.

  • Patent number: 11368734
Abstract: A device may receive content data identifying television schedules for content to be provided for viewing in a first geographic location and a second geographic location, and may identify a first available time slot for content in the first geographic location and a second available time slot for content in the second geographic location. The device may identify a first set of content for the first available time slot and a second set of content for the second available time slot, and may assign values to the first and second sets. The device may determine whether the values assigned to the first and second sets satisfy a threshold value, and may cause, when a value of an content in the first set fails to satisfy the threshold value, a first client device, in the first geographic location, to obtain a replacement content with a value that satisfies the threshold value.

  • Patent number: 11343564
Abstract: An automated learning system of a content provider includes a database, an image processing unit, and a server. The database stores data related to visual marks, features of the visual marks, a set of discriminating instances, a position of a region of interest, and pre-defined threshold values. The image processing unit includes a detection module, a determination module, and a feature generation module. The detection module detects frames from a primary display device. The determination module extracts a static visual area, and determines a visual mark. The feature generation module generates discriminating features of the visual mark. • Patent number: 11290770
Abstract: A computing system identifies a media stream being received by a client, based on fingerprint matching conducted with query fingerprints generated by the client at a frame rate. The computing system then causes the client to increase the frame rate, in order to facilitate establishment by the computing system of synchronous lock between true time within the media stream and client time according to an clock of the client. The computing system then uses the established synchronous lock as a basis to map a true-time point at which a content revision should be performed in the media stream to a client-time point at which the client should perform the content revision. And the computing system causes the client to perform the content revision at the determined client-time point.

  • Patent number: 11284127
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for pushing information in a live broadcast room is provided. After a first client sends a keyword to a server, the server returns a name of a target object obtained based on the keyword and a live broadcast room access path to the first client, and in response to an access request of the first client, accesses the first client to a corresponding live broadcast room, and pushes access description information of the first client and the name of the target object to other clients that have accessed the live broadcast room. After other clients have accessed the live broadcast room, whenever a new client accesses the live broadcast room, the name of the target object associated when the new client accesses the live broadcast room is displayed.

  • Patent number: 11265612
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for allowing responses to offers displayed with digital content. The responses may be provided on a receiver system via a conventional feedback through the same distribution channel through which the content and offer were provided, or through an alternative channel, with data being transmitted from an alternative channel device to a transacting entity. For time-shifted playback, content is identified and time-adapted offers may be provided, taking into account factors such as the content, the time of play back, the date of play back, and so forth. The alternate response channel may be more suitable for time-adapted offer responses then for contemporaneously transmitted offers.
