Abstract: A rupturable type hood hinge device is provided on a vehicle body for opening or closing an engine room and reduces injury to a walker by reducing impact caused from collision with a hood. The hinge device includes a hinge bracket disposed on the engine room and fixed to the vehicle body and a hinge arm fixed to the hood to be rotatable with respect to the hinge bracket. A lowering lever link-connects one side of the hinge arm and one side of the hinge bracket. A rupturable bolt hinge-connects a connection portion of the lowering lever and the hinge bracket and is configured to sense the impact caused when the walker collides with the hood and at the same time to rupture such that the hood and the hinge arm fall and thereby the impact of the walker is dampened.

Abstract: A securable banknote carrier comprising an enclosure of flexible material attached to an articulated bi-fold frame delimiting a banknote aperture, wherein the frame comprises a pair of hingedly coupled opposing jaw members, and wherein the frame is configured such that when moving from a banknote aperture open position to a banknote aperture closed position the opposing jaw members rotate inwardly towards one another from a position in which the jaw members are substantially coplanar to a position m which the members are substantial adjacent and parallel to each other.

Abstract: A golf ball retriever handle having a plurality of telescoping segments, each segment comprising a tubular member configured to fit relatively snugly about an adjacent member in sliding engagement therewith, each of the members between the smallest diameter member and the largest diameter member being formed with a radially extending annular rib in proximity to a first end thereof and being formed with a radially inward extending annular depression in proximity to a second end thereof, whereby separation of the tubular members in a handle extending direction is inhibited. The handle also having at least one axial groove formed in each section such that overlapping grooves engage each other to prevent rotation of one section with respect to another.

Abstract: A telescopic rod in order to use objects or tools at a desired height above the head of a user, in particular for harvesting fruit from trees or for pruning tree branches or painting high walls or ceilings, comprises a rod base with a base end, a rod extension slidingly engaging with the rod base, a support member configured to support a tool, arranged at a support end of the rod extension opposite to the rod base, an actuation means to automatically push/pull the rod extension with respect to the rod base, a rod actuation command at said base end to operate the actuation means between a push position, in which the actuation means pushes said rod extension to elongate said rod, a pull position, in which the actuation means pulls the rod extension to shorten the rod, a standby position in which the actuation means is inoperative and the rod can be used at a desired rod length to maneuver the tool at a desired height.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a through-wall protection device which provides a passageway through a structure and to an aperture in a housing. The through-wall protection device includes an elongated tube and a bushing with a proximal opening, a distal opening and a bore connecting the openings. The elongated tube and bushing may be locked together using complementary engaging structures which prevent the elongated tube from being removed from within the bore of the bushing. The present disclosure also relates to a method of defining a protected passageway through a structure using the through-wall protection device described herein.

Abstract: An actuator for a flap on an item of furniture includes at least one actuating arm that is mounted to pivot between a closed position and an open position in order to move the flap, a spring device for acting on the actuating arm, and a transmission mechanism for transmitting the force of the spring device onto the actuating arm. An adjustment device allows the transmission mechanism to be shifted between at least two operating positions. In a first operating position, the spring device applies a closing force, in the direction of the closed position, onto the actuating arm which is in an opening position immediately upstream of said closed position. In a second operating position, when said actuating arm is in the aforementioned, immediately-upstream opening position, the spring device exerts a force which acts in the direction of the open position.

Abstract: A casket comprises a casket shell adapted to receive a deceased, a casket lid closeable on the shell, a casket ornament, and an attachment mechanism. The attachment mechanism has a first portion mounted to a corner of the shell and a second portion mounted to the casket ornament. The first and second portions resiliently cooperate to operably removably attach the casket ornament to the casket shell corner.

Abstract: A dual shaft hinge device includes a first shaft including a first expansion portion; a second shaft including a second expansion portion; a pair of securing plates joined to the first shaft and the second shaft respectively and connected to a display device and a main body of an electronic device respectively; torque elements connected to the first shaft and the second shaft; a limiting mechanism connected to the first shaft and the second shaft; a first helical gear formed on the first expansion portion; a second helical gear formed on the second expansion portion; a base including two through holes for the first shaft and the second shaft extending therethrough, two extending plates separated by a distance, two transverse through holes formed on the extending plates and two depressed portions formed on a back side of the base; and a middle gear rotatably disposed between the extending plates and engaging the first helical gear and the second helical gear.

The adjusting base is designed as L-shape or bent shape to realize three-dimensional or two-dimensional adjustment to the hinge; a convex step used to support the elastic member is formed on the bottom base of the movable cup holder; the elastic member is a torsion spring, with its section on at least one of its end parts being square or circular; the connecting piece is provided with a boss and a convex part.

Abstract: An adjustable handle assembly for adjusting height and/or rotational position of the handles on a stroller wherein the stroller has two vertical posts. The adjustable handle assembly includes predetermined internal grooves on the inner surface of the handle corresponding to the holes along the post and combination spring pins which protrude from holes along the post such that the pin engages with the holes when the pin encounters a corresponding hole in the handle. When slightly compressed the pin will travel along the internal grooves inside the handle. In an alternative embodiment the adjustable handle assembly includes a connector for vertical and/or rotational adjustment of the handle about a vertical post.

Abstract: A hinge assembly for pivotally connecting a lid to a receptacle of a container, comprises a first hinge half including a convex edge portion, and a second hinge half pivotally connected to the first hinge half for pivotable movement between a flattened position and a folded position of the hinge assembly. The second hinge half includes a concave nesting depression nestably engaging the convex edge portion of the first hinge half in the folded position of the hinge assembly.

Abstract: A method of memorializing a deceased comprises the steps of receiving, subsequent to the death of the deceased and prior to a funeral or other memorial service for the deceased, a selection of a personal item of personal significance to the deceased, attaching the personal item to an ornament base, and attaching the ornament base, with the personal item attached thereto, to a casket for the deceased.

Abstract: A transmission device applied to a pivot shaft mechanism provides a security system and is easy to assemble. The transmission device includes at least one rotary shaft, a drive section movable with the rotation of the rotary shaft, a driver (transversely) reciprocally movable and a turning unit having a first end connected with the driver and a second end assembled with a carrier body. The driver includes an arm section provided with an elastic body and a hand section connected with the arm section. When the driver is transversely moved, the turning unit is swung, whereby the second end of the turning unit drives the carrier body for lifting or lowering a substrate body or a frame in accordance with the operation mode of an electronic apparatus.

Abstract: A door checker includes a stopper provided to a tip portion of a check lever and defining a door opening limit by engaging with stopper surfaces provided to an outer surface of a peripheral edge of a through-hole in a support body. The stopper is formed from paired first stopper portions engageable with paired first stopper surfaces arranged side-by-side with the through-hole therebetween, and paired second stopper portions engageable with paired second stopper surfaces. The first stopper portions are formed from metal-made protrusions integrally projecting from opposite sides of a tip portion of a lever core plate, and projecting from an outer surface of a synthetic resin-made covering portion. The second stopper portions are formed from synthetic resin-made portions of the outer surface located between the first stopper portions and swollen on opposite sides in a direction orthogonal to an arrangement direction of the first stopper portions.

Abstract: This design for a modular casket uses a tension cable system to function as the weight bearing floor for the interior. The cable weaves through eyepieces mounted to either stanchions or side panels to form a zigzag webbing along the bottom of the casket and tension is applied to the cable using a ratchet. The interior flooring is completed by laying a sheet of foam over the cable webbing on top of which the casket's mattress is laid. Both the lid and the base are comprised of four partitions that are either flexibly attached to one another to enable a compact accordion like fold or are separate pieces which easily align. In both the wood and steel versions of this design, the caskets are fully assembled without the use of tools.

Abstract: A cemetery memorial may include one or more receptacles for holding the cremation remains of a decedent. A cremation capsule may be secured in the receptacles and temporarily sealed in the memorial. The cremation capsule may be removed at a time after the cemetery memorial has been placed in a cemetery and cremation remains placed in the cremation capsule. The cremation capsule may thereafter be sealed in the cemetery memorial and concealed from view.

Abstract: Provided is a multilayer kick plate, comprising a thin strip, a supporting strip, and a bonding film. The thin strip has a front surface and a back surface, and the front surface of the thin strip is polished by abrasive paper ranging from #800 to #890. The supporting strip has a bonding surface. The bonding film is mounted between the back surface of the thin strip and the bonding surface of the supporting strip. With said supporting strip and bonding film, the thin strip can be designed to be much thinner than the conventional thin strip, such that the production cost of the multilayer kick plate is reduced.

Abstract: A cover assembly for attaching to a vehicle hinge arm including an elongate body and including one or more clips supported upon an inner facing surface which are adapted to engage the hinge arm. A two piece structure formed upon the inner surface of the body includes a first component integrally formed with or otherwise secured upon the body and a second component affixed upon the first component and configured to receive a mounting location of the clip.
