  • Patent number: 10838484
Abstract: A wearable device can have a field of view through which a user can perceive real or virtual objects. The device can display a visual aura representing contextual information associated with an object that is outside the user's field of view. The visual aura can be displayed near an edge of the field of view and can dynamically change as the contextual information associated with the object changes, e.g., the relative position of the object and the user (or the user's field of view) changes.

  • Patent number: 10803297
Abstract: In an approach to determining quality score of images for user identification, one or more processors receive a set of input images for a first user. One or more processors may determine a quality score for each image in the set of input images with respect to an ability of each respective image to identify the first user, wherein the quality score pertains to both: (i) a quality the image, and (ii) a quality of a subject of the image. One or more processors may additionally determine a first set of output images based on the quality score for each image in the set of input images. One or more processors may further identify the first user based on the first set of output images.

  • Patent number: 10783716
Abstract: A digital medium environment is described to generate a three dimensional facial expression from a blend shape and a facial expression source. A semantic type is detected that defines a facial expression of the blend shape. Transfer intensities are assigned based on the detected semantic type to the blend shape and the facial expression source, respectively, for individual portions of the three dimensional facial expression, the transfer intensities specifying weights given to the blend shape and the facial expression source, respectively, for the individual portions of the three dimensional facial expression. The three dimensional facial expression is generated from the blend shape and the facial expression source based on the assigned transfer intensities.

  • Patent number: 10783689
Abstract: A user interface may be presented to a user that may provide an intuitive interface configured for generating animations. The user interface may be users of varying levels of expertise, while retaining the freedom of authoring complex narratives in an animation. A given narrative may be constrained by user input related to one or more of events to occur in an animation, individual animation components that may be included in the events, and/or other input. The system may be configured to “fill in” missing gaps in a narrative to generate a consistent animation while still meeting one or more narrative constraints specified by user input. By way of non-limiting example, gaps may be “filled in” by effectuating non-user selections of one or more of events, animation components, and/or other information used to generate an animation.

  • Patent number: 10713851
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention relate generally to systems and methods for analyzing and manipulating images and video. According to particular embodiments, the spatial relationship between multiple images and video is analyzed together with location information data, for purposes of creating a representation referred to herein as a surround view for presentation on a device. A real object can be tracked in the live image data for the purposes of creating a surround view using a number of tracking points. As a camera is moved around the real object, virtual objects can be rendered into live image data to create synthetic images where a position of the tracking points can be used to position the virtual object in the synthetic image. The synthetic images can be output in real-time. Further, virtual objects in the synthetic images can be incorporated into surround views.

  • Patent number: 10699363
Abstract: Video data and auxiliary data may be sent between a processor and a display device via a single cable using a link aggregator. As such, the link aggregator may receive a first parallel signal that may include the video data and a second parallel signal that may include auxiliary data from the processor. The link aggregator may then send the first parallel signal and the second parallel signal as an aggregated signal to the display device. Upon receiving the aggregated signal at the display device, the link aggregator may de-aggregate the aggregated signal into the first parallel signal and the second parallel signal. The link aggregator may then send the first parallel signal and the second parallel signal to a timing controller of the display device, such that the timing controller may display the video data using the display device.

  • Patent number: 10600216
Abstract: A data visualization system that automatically optimizes tick mark alignment to improve readability and conceptual accessibility of multiple graphs presented in a common display area. The data visualization system optimizes the tick mark alignment by normalizing the orders of magnitudes of the data sets and minimizing an objective function that balances tick resolution versus unused chart space on the common axis. The data visualization system may optionally color code the graphs and data ranges represented on the common axis to improve readability. Automatic scaling and tick mark alignment of the data sets is based on the display dimensions, which allows the graphs to be quickly re-optimized and redrawn on the fly. For example, the graphs may be automatically re-optimized and redrawn in response to display screen rotation, display area resizing, and display on different devices in a manner that appears to be effectively instantaneous to the typical user.
