  • Patent number: 9447150
Abstract: Described herein are small peptide domains and consensus sequences that bind small target molecules of industrial importance, e.g., metals such as nickel, ? carotene, and isoflavones such as genistein. Also described are fusion proteins containing such binding domains fused to proteins or to peptide domains like GST or CBD that bind other ligands and can be used to immobilize the target binding domain on a support. One class of fusion proteins that is useful in industrial settings are fusions that contain concatemers of target binding domains, which increases the binding equivalents per molecule.

  • Publication number: 20160268955
Abstract: A vehicle having at least two electric machines includes an oil circulation path that circulates oil through the electric machines. A controller commands the electric machines to fulfill torque demands. The controller utilizes the oil temperature in the oil circulation path to control the commanded torque output by the electric machines. In the event of a failure or fault in an oil temperature sensor, the controller estimates the oil temperature from the temperature of coils within at least one of the electric machines. • Publication number: 20160266633
Abstract: The various aspects provide methods, systems, and devices for coordinating the operating states of multiple SOCs within a computing device. Such coordination may be implemented through communication of information by the SOCs that represent advance notice of impending interactions between each other. The communicated information may be used by a recipient SOC for setting its operating state in advance of the potential impending interaction with another SOC. Accordingly, this technical improvement enables individual SOCs to preemptively influence the operating states of the other SOCs. For example, in the context of power management, the various aspects may coordinate the power states of multiple SOCs, thereby effectively implementing a monolithic power management state machine that improves overall power consumption of the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20160262720
Abstract: An entire volume is scanned. A sub-volume is separately scanned with different settings for beamforming parameters, allowing greater image quality for the sub-volume while providing context from the volume. The anatomy of interest is periodically detected, and the sub-volume shifted in position to cover the anatomy of interest, allowing for relatively continuous volume imaging with enhanced quality imaging of the sub-volume. Interleaving by volume and sub-volume slices may allow for optimization of relative frame rate and image quality. Different combinations between volume and sub-volume data for anatomy detection and display may provide for desired imaging while allowing the regular detection of the anatomy.
