Abstract: A multi-level approach for generating suggestions and/or recommendations associated with one or more items is provided. A group of related items may be identified, for example, by generating a collaborative filtering graph or other graph that includes items and connections between the items. Description data associated with items included in the group may be evaluated in order to determine respective keywords associated with the items and/or a list of common keywords representative of the group of items or a subset of the group of items. Based at least in part upon the list of common keywords, at least one suggestion may be generated.

Abstract: An example cart inventory system and associated methods are described. The example cart inventory system includes a cart and a detection system. The cart includes a frame, and a shelf movably mounted to the frame and configured to be positioned between an extended position and a folded position. A top surface and a rear surface of the shelf include first and second identifiers, respectively. The detection system is configured to detect the first identifier when the shelf is in the extended position and detect the second identifier when the shelf is positioned in the folded position. In the extended position, the top surface is oriented upwards relative to horizontal and the rear surface is disposed against the frame. In the folded position, the rear surface is oriented upwards relative to horizontal.

Abstract: Described in detail herein are methods and systems for identifying actions performed by a forklift based on detected sounds in a facility. An array of microphones can be disposed in a facility. The microphones can detect various sounds and encode the sounds in an electrical signal and transmit the sounds to a computing system. The computing system can determine the sound signature of each sound and based on the sound signature the chronological order of the sounds and the time interval in between the sounds the computing system can determine the action being performed by the forklift which is causing the sounds.

Abstract: A diaper changing apparatus that restrains an infant, child, or special need individual in a way that aids the caregiver's ability to manipulate his or her position and orientation to provide access to the diaper area during diaper changing activities. The apparatus allows the caregiver to easily lift the legs and buttocks, providing access to the underside of the infant, child, or special need individual for diaper changing activities. In some embodiments, adjustments to the height of the legs and buttocks and the separation of the legs may be made during a diaper change by moving a restraint of the apparatus in the direction of the desired adjustment. Some embodiments aid a caregiver by restraining the arms, chest, or torso to prevent the infant, child, or special needs individual from interfering with the diaper change, but without immobilizing him so much that the caregiver cannot easily adjust his position.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a novel nesting plunger tip that can be installed onto a loose syringe plunger to create a syringe package that allows dispensing and abrupt stoppage of dispensing by creating negative pressure inside the syringe. This negative pressure can be achieved because the nesting plunger tip seats inside the syringe stopper and holds onto the stopper firmly when the plunger is pulled back, which creates negative pressure on the material in the syringe by pulling back on it. The nesting plunger tip can also be left off the plunger and the plunger can then be taken out of the syringe to allow a pneumatic dispensing adapter to be attached to provide positive or negative air pressure behind the syringe stopper. The nesting plunger tip allows a single syringe with plunger to be used for either manual hand dispensing or pneumatic dispensing.

Abstract: A shopping cart deflection measurement system and associated methods are described. The shopping cart deflection measurement system includes a shopping cart, a sensor, and a processing device equipped with a processor. The shopping cart includes a frame, a basket portion pivotably mounted to the frame so as to enable deflection of at least one edge of the basket portion downward in the direction of gravity following a weight being placed in the basket portion, and a lower rack portion mounted to the frame and disposed below the basket portion. The processing device can be configured to execute instructions to measure deflection of the basket portion relative to the lower rack portion of the shopping cart using data acquired by the sensor. The measured deflection can be indicative of a fullness of the basket portion with one or more products.

Abstract: An embodiment method includes receiving service parameters for a service and locating logical network nodes for a service-specific data plane logical topology at respective physical network nodes among a plurality of physical network nodes according to the service parameters, a service-level topology, and a physical infrastructure of the plurality of physical network nodes. The method also includes defining connections among the logical network nodes according to the service parameters, the service-level topology, and the physical infrastructure, and defining respective connections for a plurality of UEs to at least one of the logical network nodes according to the service parameters, the service-level topology, and the physical infrastructure. The method further includes defining respective functionalities for the logical network nodes.

Abstract: An example zoning tool for arranging physical objects on a shelf is provided. The zoning tool includes a bridging member, a first guiding wall, a second guiding wall, and a flexible elongate member. The first proximal end of the first guiding wall is mechanically coupled to a first end of the bridging member. The second proximal end of the second guiding wall is mechanically coupled to a second end of the bridging member. The second guiding wall is spaced from the first guiding wall. An area between the first and second guiding walls forms a collection area for introduction of one or more physical objects. The flexible elongate member is movably coupled to the first and second guiding walls and configured to urge the one or more physical objects into the collection area and towards the bridging member.

Abstract: A method and system for supporting operation of a scheduler by providing indications of communication device transmit buffer status is provided. The indication of buffer status can be generated by a third-party device which is external to both the communication device and the scheduler. In some embodiments matched local and remote models of the buffer are maintained at the communication device and third-party device (or scheduler), respectively. The communication device monitors locally for drift of the model from the actual buffer status. When a level of mismatch in the model is detected, both the local and remote models are updated to mitigate the mismatch.

Abstract: A system and method is provided for configuring a plurality of PDU sessions. In an implementation, a core network function transmits a PDU bulk configuration request to at least one network node associated with the plurality of PDU sessions. The PDU bulk configuration request including a PDU session identifying component to enable the at least one network node to identify the plurality of PDU sessions, and includes a PDU session modifying component identifying required changes to one or more PDU session parameters to configure the plurality of PDU sessions.

Upon an occurrence of predetermined event, the user is presented with the customized questionnaire soliciting responses to questions and/or rating evaluations relating to the content item. The responses may include reviews, ratings, recommendations of similar items, discussion topics, and other things. Information from the responses may be collected and associated with the content item to build a user-driven index.

Abstract: Systems, methods and tools for tracking the amounts of merchandise being displayed or available for sale in a retail environment using measurements of air displacement caused by the movement of customers, employees and shopping carts throughout a retail environment. The disclosed embodiments may position air displacement sensors throughout a store and near the products being offered for sale. As the merchandise is removed by customers, a greater amount of air may be measured. Embodiments of each sensor device may be calibrated with a maximum threshold measurement of air displacement corresponding to the amount of merchandise surrounding the sensor. After enough of the products have been removed from the surrounding proximity of the sensor, the maximum threshold of air displacement may be reached, wherein upon exceeding the maximum threshold of air displacement a signal may be sent alerting employees to restock the specified merchandise proximate to the sensor's location.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for optimizing connections' transmission over the air (OTA) between a user equipment (UE) and a telecommunication network. The telecommunication network includes an operating system (OS) agent residing on the RAN side of the OTA interface, wherein the OS agent is configured to analyze data from/to user equipment (UE). The OS agent is configured to provide metadata of downlink data to the RAN and to apply required transmission protocol's algorithm for the uplink data. Further, the OS agent can contain the UE's OS libraries specific of encrypted protocol to allow the OS agent to decrypt encrypted received data for processing before OTA transmission.
