  • Publication number: 20080002336
Abstract: An orientation within a device package is used to establish the device orientation. A host controller coupled to the device supplies a control signal to at least one of the pins on the device during a setup phase. The pin that receives the control signal is used for active signaling during normal operations of the device. Based on the control signal, the orientation detector generates an orientation signal within the device. An analog or digital selector circuit connects the pins to correct internal circuit components according to the device orientation.

  • Publication number: 20060036668
Abstract: A current summing FIR filter can be implemented with multiple differential input stages and variable tail currents. The variable tail currents can be used to appropriately weight the present and previous digital input signals. The weighted outputs of the differential transistor pairs can be summed to provide a filtered output signal. The tail currents can be advantageously varied with variable current sources or by adjustment of the relative widths of the differential transistor pairs. In other embodiments, additional differential pairs can be added to adjust for systematic offset voltages caused by process-induced variations in the structure of circuit devices or to induce a desired offset.

  • Patent number: 6902652
Abstract: A papermaker's fabric, usable in the forming section of a paper machine, having a top layer and a bottom layer of cross-machine direction (CD) wefts. The top (forming) layer and bottom (wear side) layer are woven together to form a multi-layer fabric. CD packing yarns are inserted between adjacent wear side weft yarns. The packing yarns reduce the void volume on the wear side of the cloth without significantly disrupting the air permeability or increasing the caliper of the fabric. The placement of the packing yarns also adds to the CD stability and seam strength of the fabric and reduces the lateral movement of the wear side weft yarns.
