  • Patent number: 9907297
Abstract: A removable support assembly for an aquarium is disclosed along with a method of securing the removable support assembly to an aquarium. The removable support assembly includes frame members positioned around an upper periphery of the aquarium. At least two of the frame members or a portion thereof, are oppositely aligned to one another. The removable support assembly also includes a divider, a pair of brackets and fasteners. The divider is sized and configured to span across and mate with the two oppositely aligned frame members. The divider is physically secured to the pair of brackets by the fasteners. Each of the pair of brackets has a first portion which mates in a recess of one of the two oppositely aligned frame members. The method recites the steps required to position and secure the removable support assembly to the frame members positioned around the upper periphery of the aquarium.

  • Publication number: 20180053101
Abstract: The description relates to predicting terms based on text inputted by a user. One example includes a computing device comprising a processor configured to send, over a communications network, the text to a remote prediction engine. The processor is configured to send the text to a local prediction engine stored at the computing device, and to monitor for a local predicted term from the local prediction engine and a remote predicted term from the remote prediction engine, in response to the sent text. The computing device includes a user interface configured to present a final predicted term to the user such that the user is able to select the final term. The processor is configured to form the final predicted term using either the remote predicted term or the local predicted term on the basis of a time interval running from the time at which the user input the text.

  • Patent number: 9895167
Abstract: An external fixation system includes first and second fixation members having first and second pluralities of mounting holes, respectively. The first and second plurality of holes are configured to receive first and second ends of a plurality of struts, each strut having a default or initial mounting position. A simulation of the correction may be performed with the struts in the default positions, but it may be determined that the correction is not achievable. Additional simulations of the correction may be performed with the ends of the struts in different mounting positions to determine if other mounting positions of the struts allow the correction to be completed. During the correction, if one of the struts reaches a maximum length, it may be disconnected and reconnected to a different mounting hole so that, after being reconnected, the strut may be further increased in length to continue the correction.

  • Publication number: 20180023398
Abstract: A blade includes an airfoil body defined by a concave pressure side outer wall and a convex suction side outer wall that connect along leading and trailing edges and, therebetween, form a radially extending chamber for receiving the flow of a coolant. The airfoil body has an inner surface facing the radially extending chamber and an outer surface, a first corrugated surface on a portion of the outer surface, and a second corrugated surface on the inner surface paralleling the first corrugated surface. The corrugated surface on the outer surface of the airfoil provides wake mixing. The blade may also include an integrally formed impingement cooling structure having a third corrugated surface parallel to the second corrugated surface, which is made possible through additive manufacturing. The impingement cooling structure so formed provides improved cooling of the blade.

  • Publication number: 20180004715
Abstract: Disclosed are ways to transform an unoptimized hierarchy of views into an optimized display view hierarchy that achieves the same user interface specified by the unoptimized hierarchy but with fewer views. Various embodiments of the present disclosure render pages more quickly and with less overhead by automatically removing “layout-only” views that may affect the positioning of other views but are not drawn themselves. Reducing the number of views created and the depth of the display view hierarchy decreases memory usage and improves computing device display system performance and reliability.

  • Patent number: 9852051
Abstract: A computer system and computer program captures diagnostic trace information in a computer system having a plurality of software images. Information is received that is associated with a first failure in a first one of the plurality of software images. The received information is distributed to others of the plurality of software images. Further information is captured that is associated with a second failure in another one of the plurality of software images. The information associated with a first failure in a first one of said plurality of software images is combined with the information associated with a second failure in another of said plurality of software images, and the combined information is analyzed in order to determine a cause of the first failure.

  • Patent number: 9828817
Abstract: A latching assembly has a tubular housing having an outer surface and an inner surface that defines an inner bore. Latch members are carried by the housing that have a latch position that extends out from the outer surface and a release position that is retracted from the latch position. A plurality of gripping members are pivotally attached to the housing. The gripping members are pivotally attached to the tubular housing and move between a gripping position wherein the gripping members extend into the inner bore and a retracted position. An actuator engages the latch members and the gripping members and moves between a first position and a second position. The actuator moves the latch members from the latch position to the release position and the gripping members from the retracted position to the gripping position as the actuator moves from the first position to the second position.
