  • Publication number: 20200049725
Abstract: A dashboard interface may be displayed on a lab instrument to provide aggregate status information from a plurality of other interfaces organized into a single interface. The aggregate status information may be viewed by a nearby user of the lab instrument, and selecting portions of the information via a touchscreen display will navigate directly to a subsequent interface that may be used to view additional information or make configuration changes relating to the selected information. • Patent number: 10329472
Abstract: Fluid additives suitable for use in a wellbore (e.g., a liquid comprising an aqueous miscible fluid, a liquid surfactant, or both) may be converted into a liquid-infiltrated porous silica that is a flowable bulk solid. The flowable bulk solid may then be handled and stored as a traditional solid wellbore additive. For example, the flowable bulk solid may be added to an aqueous fluid to produce a wellbore fluid that is then introduced into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation.

  • Patent number: 10184892
Abstract: A monitoring system configured to receive an on-line sample associated with a process includes a sample chamber positioned to receive the on-line sample and a detector positioned to selectively receive and detect multiple wavelengths of light transmitted through the sample during an absorbance measurement, and emitted by the sample during a fluorescence measurement in response to illumination by each of the at least one excitation wavelength. An optical fiber couples light transmitted through the sample and directs the transmitted light to the multi-channel detector during the absorbance measurement. Optics direct light emitted by the sample during the fluorescence measurement to the detector without passing through any optical fiber. A computer in communication with the detector is configured to correct the fluorescence measurement using the absorbance measurement and determine a sample parameter based on the fluorescence and absorbance measurements of the on-line sample.

  • Patent number: 10185553
Abstract: Variables utilized in device firmware that provides various boot and runtime services are repaved in a fault-tolerant manner within a secure store in a durable, non-volatile device memory during an FOTA update process. A spare region in the secure store is utilized to temporarily hold a back-up of a primary region in which the firmware variables are written. Using a transaction-based fault-tolerant write (FTW) process, the variables in the primary region can be repaved with variables contained in a firmware update payload that is delivered from a remote service. In the event of a fault in the variable region repaving process, either the primary or spare region will remain valid so that firmware in a known good state can be utilized to enable the device to boot successfully and the variable region repaving in the FOTA update process may be restarted.
