  • Publication number: 20150049073
Abstract: In a data line driver, successively input image data are sequentially stored in a first data storage unit and a second data storage unit. A subtracter calculates a difference value between the image data stored in the first data storage unit and the image data stored in the second data storage unit. A timing pulse generator generates a timing pulse based on the calculated difference value, and a charge supply circuit supplies a charge to a gradation voltage output terminal in accordance with the timing pulse. The rising and falling characteristics of gradation voltage when the image data is changed are improved in this way.

  • Patent number: 8500269
Abstract: Disclosed is a recording method in which an image is first formed on an intermediate transfer medium by ejection of ink and is then transferred to a printing medium. The present invention solves a problem regarding insufficient transfer of the image to the printing medium, which is caused by roughness on a surface of the ink image formed on the intermediate transfer medium due to non-uniform application amounts of ink. A transferability improving agent is applied in a controlled manner to an ink image which has been formed on a transfer drum by application of ink. The transferability improving agent is applied in a larger amount to regions with a relatively small application amount of the ink as compared with regions with a relatively large application amount of the ink.

  • Patent number: 8430560
Abstract: In a method for detecting the freezing of water within a fuel cell, precise detection can be performed using a phenomenon specific to the time when water starts to freeze to allow a reduction in erroneous activation. Detection at an early stage after the start of freezing is allowed, and hence measures can be taken against an output reduction before the water within the fuel cell completely freezes.
