  • Patent number: 4946730
Abstract: A method of and a photomask for manufacturing an optical memory element. The manufacturing method includes the steps of: subjecting a positive type photoresist coated on a glass substrate to exposure, by using the photomask capable of irradiating light onto a portion of the photoresist other than the remaining portion, for forming pits on the glass substrate such that the portion of the photoresist is solubilized against developing solution; developing the photoresist by using the developing solution so as to remove the portion of the photoresist; and etching the glass substrate so as to directly form, as convex portions, the pits on a surface of the glass substrate.

  • Patent number: 4918485
Abstract: A roll film camera is disclosed which comprises a supply reel for winding the part of a roll of recording medium yet to be used and a takeup reel for winding the part of the recording medium already used for photographing original images. This camera is constructed so as to be loaded with a plurality of types of recording medium which differs in thickness. The length of the part of the recording medium yet to be used is shown in a displaying part, according to the type of recording medium. When the residual amount of the recording medium of a given type decreases below a prescribed length, an alarm is issued which prompts the operator to make preparation for the loading of a new recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4819097
Abstract: An audio signal recording/reproducing system is used in a time-lapse video tape recording device for time-lapse recording a video signal on a magnetic tape at predetermined time intervals. The audio signal recording/reproducing system comprises a memory which stores an audio signal and time-compresses the stored audio signal to output it as the time-compressed audio signal at one field period, and a magnetic head for recording the one-field period audio signal on the magnetic tape. Each of the audio signal recording tracks recorded on the magnetic tape is arranged between two adjacent video signal recording tracks. The audio signal recorded on the magnetic tape is read out by the magnetic head and stored in the memory again. The audio signal stored in the memory is expanded in its time-base to be reproduced as continuous sound.

  • Patent number: 4803322
Abstract: Electrical contacts especially for use with electric breakers, consisting of (1) a base made from a silver-tin system alloy containing In, and (2) a clad over the base made from a silver-cadmium system alloy, the alloys having been internally oxidized. The clad (2) stands by to initial tests provided for electric breakers, and the base (1) stands by to the tests thereafter. The base has no segregation of tin oxides on account of internal oxidation of the base screened by the clad (2).

  • Patent number: 4783686
Abstract: A microcamera for photographing the image of an original document on a film, with an aperture for determining a photographing area. The size of the aperture is variable in accordance with a document size by moving an end edge of the aperture adjacent a film supply reel with an end edge thereof adjacent to a film takeup reel fixed. Aperture size variations effected in this manner is free from superposition of an image on a preceding image when the photographing area is enlarged from half size to full size, for example. Conversely, when the photographing area is reduced from fullsize to half size, a space between adjacent images may be the same as when the photographing area is not reduced.

  • Patent number: 4680162
Abstract: Ag-SnO system alloy electrical contact materials. The Ag alloy before internal oxidation thereof contains Sn of an amount of 5-20 weight %, 0.5-15 weight % of which amount is in the powder form of SnO.sub.2. The existence of SnO.sub.2 particles in the alloy accelerates the internal oxidation speed, allowing oxygen to readily pass aside and between the particles, while the internal oxidation per se makes the alloy more dense by eliminating spaces between SnO.sub.2 grain particles on account of the volumeric expansion of Sn which results from the internal oxidation thereof.

  • Patent number: 4672008
Abstract: Electrical contact materials made from Ag-Sn-In system alloys which have been internally oxidized. A substratum or base part of the materials is internally oxidized after having been clad with a thin layer of alloys of the same alloy system, concentration of solute elements of which is, however, smaller than that of the substratum alloys, so that no segregation of the solute metal elements shall be produced within the substratum alloys. Electrical contact resistance and consequent temperature raise of the internally oxidized materials under operation are considerably lowered.

  • Patent number: 4636270
Abstract: Electrical contact materials made from an internally oxidized Ag alloy containing 0.5 to 12 weight % of Sn. Internal oxidized structures which have been produced in the alloy at the forwardmost area along a progressive direction of internal oxidation and which are fine and free from the segregation of tin oxides, are employed as contact surfaces. Another surface opposite to said contact surfaces may be brazeable by having it subjected to a reduction or decomposition treatment of metal oxides about said another surface.

  • Patent number: 4630132
Abstract: A helical scan type magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus in which a magnetic tape is guided helically around a rotary magnetic head assembly over an angular range approximating to 360.degree.. Two magnetic heads are disposed relatively closely to each other at an angle smaller than 180.degree.. The rotary magnetic heads assembly performs a single complete rotation for a unit period, for example, one field period. In recording, video signal of the unit period undergoes time axis compression to be compressed to a period corresponding to a scanning period of the heads during which the magnetic heads are in contact with the magnetic tape in each rotation of the head assembly and supplied to alternately the magnetic heads which are so designed that the azimuth angles of the respective gaps differ from each other.

  • Patent number: 4613912
Abstract: In a video tape recorder of the two-head helical scan system, a wrap angle of a magnetic tape around a rotary head mechanism is set to more than 180.degree., e.g. about 220.degree., and an overlap recording section is provided in a recording track. A time compressed audio signal and a pilot signal for the tracking control are recorded in the overlap recording section. A frequency modulated luminance signal, low-frequency converted carrier color signal, frequency modulated audio signal, and pilot signal are mixed, and this mixed signal is recorded in another section of the recording track. Regulator means is provided to conjointly set the recording current levels of the low-frequency converted carrier color signal, frequency modulated audio signal, and pilot signal which are mixed to the frequency modulated luminance signal and recorded. The recording current levels of the time compressed audio signal and the frequency modulated luminance signal are respectively and individually set.

  • Patent number: 4607292
Abstract: A color signal processing circuit in a video tape recorder for recording a low frequency converted color signal has a voltage controlled oscillator for generating a carrier having a center frequency which is M times as high as a low-frequency sub-carrier frequency, where M is an integer, and a detection circuit for detecting a variation of the oscillation frequency of the voltage controlled oscillator in at least a reproduction mode. A suppression circuit suppresses the change of the oscillation frequency of the voltage controlled oscillator in response to the output signal from the detection means and a control circuit changes the center oscillation frequency of the voltage controlled oscillator depending on whether the signal is processed in the NTSC system or the PAL system in such a way that the suppression range for the change of the oscillation frequency of the voltage controlled oscillator by the suppression for the NTSC system is equal to or wider than that for the PAL system.
