  • Publication number: 20180044261
Abstract: Disclosed herein are processes for tandem alkene dehydrogenation/alkene dimerization using an iridium pincer complex catalyst on a support comprising magnesium silicates (e.g., Florisil®). The reaction process comprises providing an iridium pincer complex bound to a solid support comprising magnesium silicates; providing a gaseous alkane feedstock comprising at least one alkane; and contacting the gaseous alkane feedstock with the iridium pincer complex bound to the solid support in the presence of a hydrogen acceptor to form dimerized alkenes. The processes disclosed herein can accomplish facile, low-temperature tandem transfer dehydrogenation of alkanes and dimerization of alkenes with unprecedented TONs at a reasonable rate of conversion.

  • Publication number: 20180002361
Abstract: Disclosed herein are processes for dehydrogenation of an alkane to an alkene using an iridium pincer complex. In the dehydrogenation reactions, hydrogen that is co-formed during the process must be removed for the chemical reaction to proceed and to prevent the excess hydrogen from poisoning the catalyst. In one embodiment the process comprises providing an alkane feedstock comprising at least one alkane and contacting the alkane with an iridium pincer complex in the presence of a hydrogen acceptor selected from the group consisting of ethylene, propene, or mixtures to form an alkene product. The processes disclosed herein can accomplish facile, low-temperature transfer dehydrogenation of alkanes with unprecedented selectivities and TONs at a reasonable rate of conversion.

  • Publication number: 20170344618
Abstract: Various aspects provide for implementation of a cloud service for running, monitoring, and maintaining cloud distributed database deployments and in particular examples, provides cloud based services to run, monitor and maintain deployments of the known MongoDB database. Various embodiments provide services, interfaces, and manage provisioning of dedicated servers for the distributed database instances (e.g., MongoDB instances). Further aspects, including providing a database as a cloud service that eliminates the design challenges associated with many distributed database implementations, while allowing the client's input on configuration choices in building the database. In some implementations, clients can simply identity a number of database nodes, capability of the nodes, and within minutes have a fully functioning, scalable, replicated, and secure distributed database in the cloud.

  • Publication number: 20170244444
Abstract: Recursive constellations of Ultra-Wide Band (“UWB”) transceivers are optimized based on a desired functionality or objective. By structuring transceivers of an UWB network into a plurality of subsets or constellations of UWB nodes each constellation can be optimized for a particular purpose while maintaining connectivity and cohesiveness within the overarching network. Implementations of specific functionality can be applied to Intra-Vehicle, Inter-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure constellations resulting in localized optimizations while maintaining a cohesive and coherent UWB network.

  • Patent number: 9667560
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for assigning a data flow-specific sequential value to each packet of a data flow that is sent from a source endpoint to a destination endpoint in a network. In some embodiments, the source endpoint receives the data flow from a source application while the destination endpoint delivers the data flow to a destination application. The method of some embodiments assigns separate monotonically incrementing values to the packets of each data flow between the same two endpoints by inserting the incremental values into the IPv4 identification field in each packet's IP header. Some embodiments use this sequential value in order to discover any potential error condition in packet transmission. Some embodiments use the IPv4 identification field values to calculate the transmission rate of a data flow at only one observation point.

  • Patent number: 9658671
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for providing a power grid are provided. The apparatus includes a plurality of memory units comprising at least one SoC memory and at least one cache memory. The apparatus includes a first subsystem coupled to the at least one SoC memory associated with a first power domain. The apparatus further includes a second subsystem coupled to the at least one cache memory associated with a second power domain. The second subsystem may be a CPU subsystem. Because the first power domain sources power from a shared power source, the first power domain may operate at a voltage level that is higher than the operation of memory circuits requires. By moving the at least one cache memory from the first power domain to the second power domain, LDO efficiency loss for components in the first power domain may be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20170136622
Abstract: A unified collaboration environment is formed by establishing a local workspace positional frame of reference using a plurality of UWB transceivers. With a frame of reference established a communication link is established between each of the workspaces, and a collaboration module to establish a peer-to-peer network. Data is received from each of the workspaces including the local workspace frame of reference, the set of available assets and workspace behavior (tasks). The collaboration module crafts a unified collaboration environment by transforming the local workspace into a collaborative positional frame of reference. A user, through a user interface, can offer real-time input to a virtualized version of the workspace to augment actions within the workspace environment.

  • Publication number: 20170078330
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for securing communication of data messages of a particular machine that includes a dynamic first level address. The method identifies a fixed second level address for a particular data. The fixed second level address is associated with an interface of the particular machine. Based on the fixed second level address, the method identifies a set of security policies for securing the communication of the particular data message. The method applies the set of security policies to the particular data message.

  • Publication number: 20170070398
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to performing user segmentation, and more particularly to predicting attribute values for user segmentation. In one embodiment, the method includes segregating a user with an incomplete attribute value and a user with complete attribute values for an attribute into a first group and a second group respectively, computing prior probability for each suggestive attribute value, identified for the incomplete attribute value, based on number of users in second group having the suggestive attribute value as attribute value for the attribute. Computing likelihood for each suggestive attribute value based on similarity of the attribute values of the user of the first group with users of the second group, computing a posterior probability for each suggestive attribute value based on the prior probability and the likelihood, selecting a suggestive attribute value with the highest posterior probability as the attribute value for the incomplete attribute value of the user.
