  • Patent number: 9560173
Abstract: A computer implemented method receives a client request message to initiate a network connection. In response to the client request, the method generates a key to represent the client request. The key is generated independent of information provided in the client request message and is generated to correspond to a desired address in a data structure used to track client request message. The method then enters the generated key at the desired address in the data structure and transmits a response message that includes the key back to the client. The network connection between the client and the computer system is established according to the key.

  • Patent number: 9537797
Abstract: A management module is implemented in a virtualization software of a virtualized computing device having one or more virtual machines and a virtual switch configured therein. The management module detects a mismatch between a maximum transmission unit (MTU) of the virtual switch and an MTU of a virtual network interface of a virtual machine. An error message may be immediately returned so that the MTU of the virtual network interface may be corrected in response thereto. Otherwise, an error flag indicating the MTU mismatch is set but the connection between the virtual switch and the virtual network interface is allowed to be established. The error flag may be used as a prompt to correct the MTU of the virtual network interface at a later time or to connect the virtual network interface to a different virtual switch.

  • Publication number: 20160371362
Abstract: Methods and systems for Assurance-enabled Linde Buzo Gray (ALBG) data clustering is described herein. In an implementation, a user model data from a database available to the processor is obtained. The user model data comprises data elements or users, each of which corresponds to features and feature values associated with the users. These data elements of the user model data are segmented into clusters using our segmentation approach with an initial accuracy criterion parametric value and the output is captured as segment data. The segment data output is checked for initial pareto validity. If successful, iterative segmentation run with incremental accuracy criterion using parameterized value is performed till the segmented clusters are determined valid against pareto validity check. The last successful pareto valid segmented cluster data is considered as the finalized segment output data.

  • Publication number: 20160357193
Abstract: A mobile positional constellation system determines a mobile device's relative position using a plurality of UWB transceivers affixed to a platform. The platform, which itself can be mobile, includes a plurality of UWB transceivers and a trilateration module. The mobile device, which can also have one or more UWB transceivers, exchanges one or more signals with the platform to determine a relative position with respect to the platform through trilateration. With an established relative position established behavior of the mobile device can be augmented. The synchronous capability of UWB signals provides a user with direct control of a mobile device in austere conditions including those in which GPS is denied.

  • Publication number: 20160349362
Abstract: Mobile localization of an object having an object positional frame of reference using sparse time-of-flight data and dead reckoning can be accomplished by creating a dead reckoning local frame of reference, including an estimation of object position with respect to known locations from one or more Ultra Wide Band transceivers. As the object moves along its path, a determination is made using the dead-reckoning local frame of reference. When the object is within a predetermine range of one or more of the Ultra Wide Band transceivers, a “conversation” is initiated, and range data between the object and the UWB transceiver(s) is collected. Using multiple conversations to establish accurate range and bearing information, the system updates the object's position based on the collected data.

  • Patent number: 9479348
Abstract: A method of submitting multicast membership packets by a host in a multicast domain in absence of a querier to trigger those packets is provided. The host includes a silent state and an active state. In the silent state, the host receives membership query packets from a querier and responds by sending multicast report packets to multicast group addresses that the host is joined. When a membership query packet is not received during a configurable period of time, the host changes from the silent state to active state and starts sending unsolicited multicast report packets to the multicast addresses that the host has joined.

  • Publication number: 20160294710
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for assigning a data flow-specific identification value to each packet of a data flow. In some embodiments, a particular source endpoint transmits packets belonging to several different data flows to one or more destination endpoints. When sending packets, the source endpoint inserts a unique flow identification value to a particular field of the Internet Protocol (IP) header of each packet of a data flow. The use of these flow identification values enables intermediate network elements and the destination endpoint to efficiently identify to which data flow each packet belongs. In some embodiments, the source endpoint inserts the flow identification value into the 16-bit Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) identification field of the IP header of the packets.

  • Publication number: 20160292610
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a prediction device for predicting timely delivery of telecom service orders in real time. In one embodiment, the method receives order data of historical time period and processes the order data to derive one or more variables and add missing values in the order data. Based on the processed order data, one or more models are generated and a model having least model generation error rate is identified. Using the model thus identified, prediction of timely delivery of telecom services is predicted in real time using real time data. By way of identifying factors that influence the timely delivery in each stage, helps to improve the probability of timely delivery by correcting the identified factors, thus improving customer experience and revenue realization to the telecom service providers.

  • Patent number: 9426170
Abstract: A system and method for stemming flow of information from a negative campaign are described. A status for each node of a set of preselected nodes in a social network graph is identified. The status indicates whether a node has been infected with information from a negative campaign. A source and a flow of the negative campaign are identified based on the status of the nodes from the set of preselected nodes and a topology of the social network graph. A susceptibility score is computed for one or more nodes of the social network. The susceptibility score is computed using a measure of vulnerability of nodes that have not received the information based on the flow of the negative campaign, and a measure of reachability of nodes from the source. Nodes susceptible to adopting and spreading the information from the negative campaign are identified based on the susceptibility score.

  • Publication number: 20160191400
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for assigning a data flow-specific sequential value to each packet of a data flow that is sent from a source endpoint to a destination endpoint in a network. In some embodiments, the source endpoint receives the data flow from a source application while the destination endpoint delivers the data flow to a destination application. The method of some embodiments assigns separate monotonically incrementing values to the packets of each data flow between the same two endpoints by inserting the incremental values into the IPv4 identification field in each packet's IP header. Some embodiments use this sequential value in order to discover any potential error condition in packet transmission. Some embodiments use the IPv4 identification field values to calculate the transmission rate of a data flow at only one observation point.

  • Patent number: 9300705
Abstract: Described herein are methods and systems for interfacing heterogeneous endpoints and web-based media sources in a video conference. Interfacing heterogeneous endpoints can be challenging due to audio/video (A/V) streams being encoded in a format that is proprietary to a media provider of the A/V stream (e.g., format that is proprietary to Skype). To address such a challenge, a client application from the media provider may be installed at a virtual machine, and may be used to decode A/V streams that are encoded in a format proprietary to the media provider. Further, to display content from a web-based media source (e.g., YouTube) in a video conference, a browser may be installed at a virtual machine, and may be used to virtually render a media signal from the web-based media source, such virtually rendered media signal subsequently being captured and presented in a video conference.
