  • Publication number: 20250146166
Abstract: An electrochemical deposition fountain reactor for processing spinning semiconductor wafers can include a perforated ionic membrane near the wafer surface through which electrolyte flows. This allows high velocity electrolyte jets to impinge the wafer surface at low bulk flow rates, which reduces the boundary layer at the wafer surface and allows for better replenishment of ions at the wafer surface.

  • Publication number: 20250150691
Abstract: A customized highlight sequence depicting multiple events, and based on a user's personal characteristics, interests, and/or preferences, is generated and presented. The events can be sporting events, entertainment events, and/or the like. For example, in the context of sporting events, a determination is made as to what types of sports, teams, leagues, players, plays, and/or the like are of interest to the user. In at least one embodiment, the amount of time available to the user can be obtained, so that the length of the highlight sequence can be tailored to the available time. A customized highlight sequence is then generated and presented, containing those specific portions of the sporting events that are likely to be of interest, arranged in a manner that is likely to be entertaining to the user and comports with the time restrictions.

  • Publication number: 20250145264
Abstract: Portable, low cost, high speed surface and subsurface vehicles for aquatic data collection, payload delivery, or water quality monitoring. The vehicles can be deployed in pods enable rapid large scale data collection across a wide area. The vehicles are capable of transiting the water surface at speeds of over ten knots, and can also be propelled under the water surface and dive vertically to the floor of the water body. A passive, non-powered internal weight transfer system enhances the vehicle's performance in each of its transit modes. The vehicles can have one or more of the following features: high speed stabilizing wings, a tool-less assembly system, sacrificial standoffs for vertical dives, sacrificial protectors for the control surfaces, and/or a universal mounting system for attaching payloads such as sensors.

  • Publication number: 20250145474
Abstract: Nanosized silicon or alloys thereof are formed by milling in solvents comprising at least one polar protic solvent (e.g., an alcohol) or polar aprotic solvent (e.g., a nitrile) where the average milling media size is at least about 5 times to 200 times larger than the initial average silicon particle size. The method more efficiently mills silicon and achieves smaller nanosized particles with less input power or time and stable dispersions in the absence of a surfactant allowing for the direct formation of secondary particles. The milled silicon particles are useful as electrodes in electrical devices such as batteries.

  • Patent number: 12294294
Abstract: A power conversion system including a triple active bridge (TAB) is provided. The system includes a power factor correction (PFC) module and a three port converter (TPC) module, with no post-regulation or additional stages required. The TPC module includes an OBC full-bridge and an APM full-bridge, each being inductively coupled to the output of the PFC full-bridge, thereby forming the TAB. The OBC full-bridge is adapted to convert an AC input into a high-voltage DC output for a high-voltage battery, and the APM full-bridge is adapted to convert an AC input into a low-voltage DC output for a low-voltage battery. The power conversion system can accept a single-phase AC input and a three-phase AC input, has a lower current stress as compared to prior art TPCs, and freely transfers power from among any ports.

  • Patent number: 12293427
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for detecting non-compliant use of a micro-mobility vehicle, for example, based on parking the micro-mobility vehicle outside of a designated area. In an embodiment, a processor detects that a micro-mobility vehicle shared by a plurality of users has transitioned from an operational state to a parked state, where the micro-mobility vehicle was operated by a user of the plurality of users when in the operational state. The processor determines a location of the micro-mobility vehicle while the micro-mobility vehicle is in the parked state, and evaluates whether it is permissible to transition the micro-mobility vehicle to the parked state at the location. Responsive to determining that it is not permissible to transition to the parked state at the location, the processor updates a profile of the user to indicate non-compliant use of the micro-mobility vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12291997
Abstract: A variable area turbine nozzle assembly includes a guide vane including an outer centering pin defining a tab. An inner support ring is spaced radially outward from the guide vane and defines an opening and a protrusion. The protrusion is configured to engage with the tab of the outer centering pin. An outer support ring extends circumferentially around the inner support ring and defines an aperture. The outer support ring has a second coefficient of thermal expansion that is greater than or less than the first coefficient of thermal expansion. At least one linkage joins the inner support ring to the outer support ring and is configured to rotate the inner support ring circumferentially about an axial centerline of the variable area turbine nozzle assembly in response to a change in operational temperature of a combustion gas thus causing the guide vane to rotate.

  • Patent number: 12293600
Abstract: Described herein is a system for automatically capturing images. A device may execute an application on the device. In response to receiving a request for capturing an image of a document, the application may control the operation of the camera to contemporaneously and continuously capture image frames of an area within the field of view of a camera of the device. The field of view may include an object and in turn may be included in the captured image frames. The application may determine whether the aspect ratio and real-world size of the object in the captured image frames corresponds with a specified threshold size and aspect ratio which corresponds with a given document type. In response to determining the object corresponds to the given document type, the camera may automatically extract an image of the object.
