  • Publication number: 20160133014
Abstract: An area of interest of a patient's organ may be identified based on the presence of a possible lesion during an endoscopic procedure. The location of the area of interest may then be tracked relative to the camera view being displayed to the endoscopist in real-time or near real-time during the endoscopic procedure. If the area of interest is visually marked on the display, the visual marking is moved with the area of interest as it moves within the camera view. If the area of interest moves outside the camera view, a directional indicator may be displayed to indicate the location of the area of interest relative to the camera view to assist the endoscopist in relocating the area of interest.

  • Publication number: 20150080652
Abstract: Images with an overall field of view (FOV) may be captured during an endoscopic procedure but only a portion of the overall FOV displayed to an endoscopist. The overall FOV may be analyzed to identify an area of interest of a patient's organ based on the presence of a possible lesion during the endoscopic procedure. The endoscopist may be notified of the identified area of interest. After an area of interest is identified, the location of the area of interest may be tracked. Image stabilization may be provided by changing the displayed portion of the overall FOV to maintain the area of interest within the displayed portion as the area of interest moves relative to the endoscope.

  • Publication number: 20130052045
Abstract: A handheld electric blower for stimulating and accelerating a fire includes: a hollow, generally cylindrical shaped body having a tapered, open front tip and an open rear end; a turbine blade positioned within the body; an electric motor positioned within the body and operationally coupled to the turbine blade; an adjustable baffle positioned within the front tip of the body; and a baffle control provided on an external surface of the body to adjust the position of the baffle to decrease or increase the flow of air through the body. Activation of the electric motor causes the turbine blade to rotate, thereby drawing air into the open rear end of the body and directing the air out of the tip.

  • Patent number: 7983843
Abstract: A method of presenting weather phenomenon information including receiving weather data. At least one weather phenomenon represented by the weather data is identified. A plurality of current parameters related to the current state of the at least one weather phenomenon is determined. A plurality of historical parameters corresponding to one or more previous states of the at least one weather phenomenon is associated with the current state of the at least one weather phenomenon if at least one previous state of the at least one weather phenomenon has been identified. A plurality of forecasted parameters for the at least one weather phenomenon is calculated. Characteristics of the at least one weather phenomenon based on at least a first subset of the current parameters, the historical parameters, and the forecasted parameters are displayed.

  • Publication number: 20110155152
Abstract: This invention provides a method for removing undesirable constituents from tobacco which includes extracting tobacco material in an aqueous or organic solvent and filtering the product of the extraction using a horizontal belt filter. The extract and insoluble tobacco residue may be further treated enzymically, chemically or otherwise to remove a complement of undesirable constituents. The extract and insoluble tobacco residue are recombined to form a regenerated tobacco material that is less harmful when combusted than the original material.
