Abstract: A wheel guard includes a cover having a cone shape with an outer surface, an inner surface, a top end, a bottom rim, a first terminal edge running from the top end to the bottom rim, and a second terminal edge opposite the first terminal edge and running from the top end to the bottom rim. A coupler is configured to releasably couple the first terminal edge to a plurality of different radial points of the cover, thereby adjusting a diameter of the bottom rim.

Abstract: Described is a multiple-camera system and process for detecting a user within a materials handling facility and tracking a position of the user as the user moves through the materials handling facility. In one implementation, a plurality of depth sensing cameras are positioned above a surface of the materials handling facility and oriented to obtain a top-down view of the surface of the materials handling facility, along with any objects (e.g., users) on the surface of the materials handling facility. The depth information from the cameras may be utilized to detect objects on the surface of the materials handling facility, track a movement of those objects and determine if those objects are users.

Abstract: An instrument for measuring and presenting customer impressions of a vendor uses response values of survey questions to develop a consumer loyalty score, vendor attribute score, and/or a consumer experience score. The scores may be presented with other score sets for other vendors to provide a simple and consistent comparison of vendors. Vendor characteristics and/or categories are modeled to more accurately reflect the importance of specified characteristics and/or categories that affect consumer loyalty.

In an embodiment, the method comprises loading a first group of records in a first time period in a database; loading a second group of records in a second time period in the database; selecting one or more of the records in the database; and for each of the selected records, determining whether it was loaded into the database during the first time period or the second time period, and providing the each record with a specified designation based on the time period during which the each record was loaded into the database. In an embodiment, identified times when the records were loaded in the database are used to determine the time period during which the each record was loaded in the database.

Abstract: This disclosure is generally directed to a parent-infant-interactive, sensory-stimulation toy and associated methods of use. Such a toy features an interchangeable elongated feather-like tail member used for gently and playfully stroking a baby's body, wherein the material use for the feather-like member can be made from various types of irresistibly touchable and non-toxic (and preferably hypoallergenic), baby-safe materials of various textures and different sensations. Such materials include, but are not limited to, silks and velvet that are specially configured to provide the desired touch sensory stimulation while eliminating a choking hazard. Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are described herein for distributing syndicated content or content with one or more distribution restrictions. In one aspect, a method may include assigning a unique ID to a plurality of content items, where the unique ID of at least one of the content items is associated with one or more property distribution restrictions. The method may further include streaming in a video stream the content items to at least two properties and monitoring the unique IDs of the plurality of content items streamed in the video stream to detect least one content item associated with the one or more property distribution restrictions. The distribution of the least one content item associated with the one or more property distribution restrictions may be blocked from the one or more properties concurrently with streaming the video stream, based on the one or more property distribution restrictions.

The device may determine when a next segment of the primary content is available, and begin streaming the next segment of the primary content upon detecting that the second segment of the primary content is available.

Abstract: Systems and methods for device-agnostic, multi-factor network authentication are disclosed. In some embodiments, a wireless network connection can authenticate a device over secure authentication means with a certificate that confirms a device identity. After authenticating the device, a user can be prompted to provide credentials in a captive portal. The captive portal can be inaccessible to devices that have not already authenticated using a certificate. After providing approved credentials to the captive portal, the user can access the network. This embodiment and additional embodiments are readily integrated into private wireless networks and others.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for optimizing the presentation of content through obtaining viewership metrics, generating multiple renditions of presentations of content, and selecting optimized renditions of content. One aspect includes associating a request for viewership metrics with a presentation of content, publishing the presentation of content, and receiving information of the viewership metrics associated with the presentation. Another aspect includes copying a presentation of a content item, creating a second presentation of the content item for publishing over one or more channels, and linking the presentation of the content item to the second presentation of the content item, such that a change to one propagates to the other of the presentation of the content item or the second presentation of the content item. In yet another aspect, a content rendition may be selected for presentation based on performance of the rendition out of multiple renditions in an auction.

Abstract: Systems, devices and methods are described herein for segmentation of content, and more specifically for segmentation of content in a content management system. In one aspect, a method may include receiving content associated with speech, text, or closed captioning data. The speech, the text, or the closed captioning data may be analyzed to derive at least one of a topic, subject, or event for at least a portion of the content. The content may be divided into two or more content segments based on the analyzing. At least one of the topic, the subject, or the event may be associated with at least one of the two or more content segments based on the analyzing. At least one of the two or more content segments may then be published such that each of the two or more content segments is individually accessible.

Abstract: A defibrillator system optimizes the timing and manner of applying a defibrillator charge to a patient based upon data provided to the defibrillator from a utility module or one or more external devices. A parameter module on the utility module provides the defibrillator with patient parameter information. Devices external to the utility module may provide the utility module with coaching data that the utility module may pass through to the defibrillator as a proxy to the external devices. The utility module may also provide external devices with patient data that the utility module may pass through to the external devices as a proxy to the defibrillator on a scheduled or other basis. The utility module may additionally provide a reserve of power to enable defibrillators to be used where power is unavailable and to enable defibrillators to deliver multiple charges more readily anywhere, anytime.
