Abstract: A spacer designed to be inserted between the roofing panel clip and the sheathing is provided. The spacer has a configuration of openings and slots on the spacer to allow it to be used with a wide variety of panel clips. The opening for the fastener, the outer rim, and the walls of the spacer are designed to seal against the sheathing and provide tiers of protection to prevent water from contacting the fasteners. The spacers are designed to have lips, grooves, and recessed areas that coincide with the walls to accommodate stacking to allow for different channel heights without having to stock multiple spacer sizes. Also, the preferred embodiment of the spacer is rounded to prevent water from collecting along the edges of the spacer and instead flow down the slope of the roof. Finally, the spacer is specifically designed to have one spacer per panel clip.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are described herein for placing secondary content into a break of unknown duration in a stream of primary content. In one aspect, the described techniques may include streaming a segment of primary content, for example, by a reduce capability client device, such as a mobile device or tablet. The device may receive information indicative of a break in the streaming of the primary content. The device may play secondary content based on receiving the information indicative of the break. The device may determine when a next segment of the primary content is available, and begin streaming the next segment of the primary content upon detecting that the second segment of the primary content is available.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are described herein for distributing syndicated content or content with one or more distribution restrictions. In one aspect, a method may include assigning a unique ID to a plurality of content items, where the unique ID of at least one of the content items is associated with one or more property distribution restrictions. The method may further include streaming in a video stream the content items to at least two properties and monitoring the unique IDs of the plurality of content items streamed in the video stream to detect least one content item associated with the one or more property distribution restrictions. The distribution of the least one content item associated with the one or more property distribution restrictions may be blocked from the one or more properties concurrently with streaming the video stream, based on the one or more property distribution restrictions.

Abstract: Systems, devices and methods are described herein for segmentation of content, and more specifically for segmentation of content in a content management system. In one aspect, a method may include receiving content associated with speech, text, or closed captioning data. The speech, the text, or the closed captioning data may be analyzed to derive at least one of a topic, subject, or event for at least a portion of the content. The content may be divided into two or more content segments based on the analyzing. At least one of the topic, the subject, or the event may be associated with at least one of the two or more content segments based on the analyzing. At least one of the two or more content segments may then be published such that each of the two or more content segments is individually accessible.

One of the methods includes maintaining, by a first member in a distributed data management system having multiple computing members installed on multiple respective computers, a first garbage collection version vector that includes, for each member in the distributed data management system, a garbage collection version that represents a number of garbage collection processes performed by the member on a respective copy of a replicated data region maintained by the member in the data management system. If the first garbage collection version vector is different than a second garbage collection version vector received from a different provider member, a first replication process is performed that is different than a second replication process that is performed when the first garbage collection version vector matches the second garbage collection version vector.

Abstract: A defibrillator system optimizes the timing and manner of applying a defibrillator charge to a patient based upon data provided to the defibrillator from a utility module or one or more external devices. A parameter module on the utility module provides the defibrillator with patient parameter information. Devices external to the utility module may provide the utility module with coaching data that the utility module may pass through to the defibrillator as a proxy to the external devices. The utility module may also provide external devices with patient data that the utility module may pass through to the external devices as a proxy to the defibrillator on a scheduled or other basis. The utility module may additionally provide a reserve of power to enable defibrillators to be used where power is unavailable and to enable defibrillators to deliver multiple charges more readily anywhere, anytime.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for optimizing the presentation of content through obtaining viewership metrics, generating multiple renditions of presentations of content, and selecting optimized renditions of content. One aspect includes associating a request for viewership metrics with a presentation of content, publishing the presentation of content, and receiving information of the viewership metrics associated with the presentation. Another aspect includes copying a presentation of a content item, creating a second presentation of the content item for publishing over one or more channels, and linking the presentation of the content item to the second presentation of the content item, such that a change to one propagates to the other of the presentation of the content item or the second presentation of the content item. In yet another aspect, a content rendition may be selected for presentation based on performance of the rendition out of multiple renditions in an auction.

Abstract: Systems and methods for recovering unmanned aircraft and controlling post-recovery motion of the aircraft are disclosed herein. An aircraft recovery system for handling an unmanned aircraft in accordance with one embodiment of the disclosure includes a base portion and an elongated aircraft capture member having a first end movably coupled to the base portion and a second, free end opposite the first end. The aircraft capture member includes a first portion and a second portion at a distal end of the first portion and positioned to intercept an unmanned aircraft in flight. The first and/or second portions are generally flexible. The system further includes an energy capture and dissipation assembly operably coupled to the aircraft capture member and positioned to receive at least a portion of the landing forces from the aircraft.

Abstract: A pre-cast concrete stair tread is provided where the stair tread has reinforced corrugated metal embedded within the core of the concrete stair tread. The corrugations are lined up along the elongated direction of the stair tread. Concrete is poured and cured over at least one side of the corrugated metal. Additionally, the pre-cast concrete stair tread may have one or more metal straps fixed on the reinforced corrugated metal in a direction perpendicular to the corrugations and the elongated direction.

The rotatable member is rotatable in a first direction (e.g., counter clockwise) relative to a body of the bracket for securing or locking the archwire within the slot, and for rotating in an opposite direction (e.g., a clockwise direction) relative to the bracket body for unsecuring or unlocking the archwire so that it is substantially unrestrained from exiting the slot.

A business process includes one or more business steps and zero or more action rules related to the business steps. Members of a workgroup participate in the business process and are able to view, modify, add and delete business steps and action rules as needed. An action rule is comprised of one or more business actions and one or more events that trigger the actions to be executed. A computer program keeps track of the business steps, interprets the set of rules, and updates states of the business process, notifies the members and validates and accepts modifications by the members to the action rules of a business steps.
