  • Publication number: 20240275911
Abstract: A method provides non-disruptive transition from a freeze frame video back to a live video feed from a first communication device connected via a server device to a video communication session with other participants. The method includes presenting, by the server device, a freeze frame video including an image of a participant with a background. The method includes receiving live video of a field of view of an image capturing device of the first communication device, and detecting a change in a visual characteristic of the live video that can present a visual distraction to other participants. The method includes, in response to detecting the change: modifying aspects of the live video to provide a modified live video that retains the visual characteristic consistent with the freeze frame video; and presenting the modified live video to the video communication session on transition from freeze frame video to live video.

  • Publication number: 20240275910
Abstract: A communication device, a method, and a computer program product modifies visual characteristics of live videos to enable non-disruptive transition from presenting a freeze frame video to a video communication session. While presenting the freeze frame video, the device captures live video including the participant and current background. The device detects a change in at least one visual characteristic of the live video that can present a visual distraction to other participants of the video communication session while transitioning from presenting the freeze frame video to the video communication session. In response to detecting the change: the device modifies aspects of the live video to provide a modified live video that retains the at least one visual characteristic consistent with the freeze frame video. The device presents the modified live video to the video communication session on transition from presenting the freeze frame video to presenting live video.

  • Publication number: 20240265350
Abstract: Career coaching comprising defining a number of employment positions, wherein each employment position comprises a number of required skills. Relationships between the employment positions are modeled, wherein the model maps potential transitions between employment positions according to similarities of required skills. A number of persons who have occupied the employment positions are modeled according to skills, employment history, and job performance. A user provides user data that comprises skills, employment history, and job performance. The user data is compared to the modeled persons, and a number of potential employment opportunities from among the number of employment positions are matched to the user based on similarities between the user and the modeled persons. The potential employment opportunities are then displayed to the user on a graphical user interface.

  • Publication number: 20240264729
Abstract: Techniques for guidance image generation for a mobile device are described and are implementable to generate a guidance image for display by a first device based on digital content displayed by a second device. For instance, a mobile device executes and controls a gaming application, and communicates digital content from the application to a display device. A screenshot of the digital content displayed by the remote display device is captured, and based on the screenshot the mobile device generates a guidance image. The guidance image depicts one or more touchpoints of the application, and is displayed by the mobile device. The mobile device is further operable to terminate display of the guidance image, such as based on receipt of an instance proximity-based input. The mobile device recalls the guidance image subsequent to termination of display, such as based on a user request to recall the guidance image.

  • Publication number: 20240265087
Abstract: A method includes a computer receiving a request to conduct an interaction from a mobile device. The computer obtains a computer address and provides the computer address to the mobile device. The mobile device provides an access request to the computer address, and the access request is thereafter routed to an identity provider computer. The identity provider computer identifies identity data associated with the mobile device or a user of the mobile device. The computer obtains the identity data or a derivative of the identity data from the identity provider computer. The computer determines if the identity data or the derivative of the identity data matches previously stored identity data or a previously stored derivative of identity data. If a match is determined, the computer provides a list of user device identifiers to the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20240264734
Abstract: Techniques for controller graphical user interface based on interaction data are described and are implementable to generate a controller graphical user interface for display by a first device to control digital content displayed on a second device. For instance, an application such as a mobile gaming application is displayed on a mobile device and digital content from the application is communicated for display by a display device as part of a content connectivity session. One or more control regions of the application are determined based on a monitored interaction with a user interface of the mobile device. One or more control graphics are identified that correlate to the one or more control regions. A controller graphical user interface is generated that displays the one or more control graphics and filters out extraneous digital content. The controller graphical user interface is then displayed by the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 12058474
Abstract: In aspects of recorded content managed for restricted screen recording, a wireless device displays digital image content, and a screen recording session captures the digital image content and audio data. The wireless device implements a content control module that determines a device application restricts the screen recording session from capturing the media content. The content control module can then pause the screen recording session for a time duration that the device application restricts the screen recording session, and then resume the screen recording session after a determination that the screen recording session is no longer being restricted. As an alternative to pausing the screen recording session, the content control module can add a start delimiter to indicate a beginning section of the screen recording session being restricted by the device application, and add an end delimiter to indicate an end section of the screen recording session being restricted.

  • Patent number: 12055977
Abstract: A compute box includes a communication device and one or more processors. The one or more processors, in response to the communication device being electronically in communication with a flexible content presentation companion device, determine a visible area available on the flexible content presentation companion device as a function of its geometric configuration. The one or more processors format content for presentation on the visible area available on the flexible content presentation companion device and cause the communication device to deliver the content to the flexible content presentation companion device. When the geometric configuration changes, the one or more processors can generate a visible display area adjustment animation to smoothly transfer the content to a new visible area.

  • Publication number: 20240256347
Abstract: Apparatus and method for detection, triaging and remediation of unreliable message execution in a multi-entity (e.g., multi-tenant) runtime. The described system solves this reliability issues of message handlers in a multi-tenant distributed application runtime by automated metering, detecting, triaging, remediating, and notifying stakeholders, in a proactive way. Doing so increases system availability and improves customer experience, as we continue to increase the scale of our services across the planet. As services are scaled across the world, the implementations described provide the benefit of reducing total cost-of-ownership, by reducing the linear operational cost that would be needed if humans had to deal with message processing service issues.

  • Publication number: 20240251113
Abstract: Automated processes, computing systems, computing devices, and other aspects of a data processing system improve reliability in transmitting digital media content over a network using resource constrained hardware. Media content may be received from a media source and used to generate data segments. A reference to a first segment of the media content stored in the buffer is written to a message queue. A computing device switches into copy data mode in response to the number of references in the buffer being greater than or equal to a first threshold value. A second segment of the media content is written directly to the message queue.

  • Patent number: 12045953
Abstract: ROI (Region of Interest) detection is an important step in extracting relevant information from a document image. Such images are very high-resolution images in nature and size of images is in order of megabytes, which makes text detection pipeline very slow. Traditional methods detect and extract ROI from images, but these work only for specific image types. Other approaches include deep learning (DL) based methods for ROI detect which need intensive training and require high end computing infrastructure/resources with graphical processing unit (GPU) capabilities. Systems and methods of the present disclosure perform ROI extraction by partitioning input image into parts based on its visual perception and then classify the image in first or second category. Region of interest is extracted from a resized image based on the classification by applying image processing techniques. Further, the system determines whether the input image is a pre-cropped image or a normal scanned image.

  • Patent number: 12045441
Abstract: An electronic device, method, and computer program product provide of removing less relevant secondary content (e.g., advertisements, related links, comments, reviews, etc.) prior to generating a static or dynamic screen shot image of the more relevant primary content of an electronic page. A controller of an electronic device executes an application to present, via a display, at least a portion of an electronic page. In response to receiving an input, via at least one input device of the electronic device, to capture a screen shot of the display, the controller identifies primary spatial portion(s) and secondary spatial portion(s) of the electronic page. The controller renders the primary portion(s) of the electronic page into a reduced content electronic page without the secondary spatial portion(s). The controller captures a screen shot image of the reduced content electronic page.
