  • Publication number: 20240111557
Abstract: A diagnostics collection script is included in a container image. When an original instance of the container fails, a new instance of the container is started using the container image using a Docker compose YAML file having the diagnostics collection script as an entrypoint. The diagnostics collection script is configured to collect the logs of the original (now failed) container during the container start operation. In this manner, the container is able to be started in a safe mode and is isolated to only run the diagnostics collection script without disturbing the container's original settings. By recreating the exact environment of the failed container, and running diagnostics on the environment, it is possible to obtain the log files from the original container as well as to implement diagnostic operations on the environment of the original container, which can then be used to help diagnose why the original container failed.

  • Publication number: 20240112375
Abstract: Techniques for personalized digital content generation are described and are implementable to generate digital content based on content that depicts a scene from one or more locations and content that depicts one or more individuals. The described implementations, for instance, enable generation of a personalized photo album for a user depicting the user at the one or more locations. The described implementations further enable generation of an itinerary including personalized digital content. In an example, an input including a location is received. Environment content is generated that depicts a scene of the location. User content is generated that includes a representation of one or more individuals. Personalized content is then generated by incorporating the representation of the one or more individuals into the scene, and the personalized content is output for display. The personalized content is further usable to generate a personalized itinerary for a user.

  • Patent number: 11947916
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, and machine readable mediums which provide summaries of topics determined within a corpus of documents. These summaries may be used by customer service associates, analysts, or other users to quickly determine both topics discussed and contexts of those topics over a large corpus of text. For example, a corpus of documents may be related to customer complaints and the topics may be summarized to produce summaries such as “credit report update due to stolen identity.” These summarizations may be used to efficiently spot trends and issues.

  • Patent number: 11947990
Abstract: Illustrative systems and methods enable a virtual machine (“VM”) to be powered up at any hypervisor regardless of hypervisor type, based on live-mounting VM data that was originally backed up into a hypervisor-independent format by a block-level backup operation. Afterwards, the backed up VM executes anywhere anytime without needing to find a hypervisor that is the same as or compatible with the original source VM's hypervisor. The backed up VM payload data is rendered portable to any virtualized platform. Thus, a VM can be powered up at one or more test stations, data center or cloud recovery environments, and/or backup appliances, without the prior-art limitations of finding a same/compatible hypervisor for accessing and using backed up VM data. An illustrative media agent maintains cache storage that acts as a way station for data blocks retrieved from an original backup copy, and stores data blocks written by the live-mounted VM.

  • Publication number: 20240106980
Abstract: An electronic device, a method, and a computer program product provides freeze frame videos in place of a live video feed or a low-quality video feed to a video communication session. The electronic device hosts the video communication session between a first participant device and second participant devices. The electronic device receives, from the first participant device, a first video feed of a first participant to the video communication session. The electronic device determines a video segment of the received first video feed to identify as the first freeze frame video, generates the first freeze frame video from the video segment, and stores the first freeze frame video within a server repository. In response to a trigger condition, the electronic device temporarily presents to the video communication session the first freeze frame video in place of the first video feed as video content from the first participant device.

  • Publication number: 20240106982
Abstract: An electronic system, a method, and a computer program product generate a video recording or stream with spherical background effects for video generation with automatic gesture-control background positioning for a spatially constrained user. The method includes extracting a foreground image from an image stream of the field of view captured by the image capturing device. The method includes generating a composite image stream of the foreground image superimposed on the spherical background image. The method includes identifying, within the image stream, that the foreground image is in a physically constrained space defined by physical constraint(s) around at least a portion of a background of the foreground image. In response to identifying that the foreground image is in a physically constrained space, the method includes activating a gesture-controlled background repositioning feature of the electronic system to automatically rotate a spherical background image based on receipt of a gesture control input.

  • Publication number: 20240104855
Abstract: An electronic system, a method, and a computer program product generate a video recording or stream with a spherical background image that maintains orientation like a natural background as an image capturing device changes location or aim direction. The method includes determining a stationary orientation of a spherical background image in a virtual space geospatially aligned with a first physical location of an image capturing device. The method includes extracting a foreground image from an image stream of the field of view captured by the image capturing device. The method includes generating a composite image stream of a foreground image, which is extracted from an image stream from the image capturing device, superimposed on the spherical background image. In response to movement, the method includes updating a virtual orientation and/or a virtual location of the spherical background image to remain geospatially aligned with the first physical location.

  • Publication number: 20240103931
Abstract: In one example, a method for dynamically scaling computer resources in a cloud computing environment is disclosed. The method includes determining lag state information of a message broker. The message broker handles real-time data exchanged with application instances running in a cloud service. The method includes determining whether the lag state information indicates a change to the application instances running in the cloud service. If the lag state information indicates a change, the method includes providing instructions to the cloud service to alter the application instances.

  • Publication number: 20240106983
Abstract: An electronic system, a method, and a computer program product generate an image stream with spherical background effects for multiple participants presented in a shared virtual venue during a video call. The method includes generating a composite image stream of the first foreground image superimposed at a first assigned location and a second foreground image superimposed at a second assigned location on a spherical background image. The method includes communicating the composite image stream to first and second electronic devices oriented to respective first and second vantage points associated with the first and second assigned locations of a virtual venue presented within the spherical background image. • Publication number: 20240106979
Abstract: An electronic device, a method, and a computer program product provides freeze frame videos in place of a live video feed to a video communication session. A processor of the electronic device determines that a local participant is connected via the electronic device to an ongoing video communication session with second participants having corresponding second participant devices. The processor captures, via an image capturing device, local video encompassing the local participant. The processor determines a video segment of the local video to identify as a freeze frame video. The processor presents the freeze frame video to the video communication session in response to a trigger condition that pauses a presentation of live video feed of the local participant to the video communication session. The processor loops the presentation of the freeze frame video until an expiration of a threshold maximum time established for presenting the freeze frame video.

  • Publication number: 20240105177
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a local assistant system responding to voice input using an ear-wearable device. The system detects a wake-up signal and receives a first voice input communicating a first query content. The system includes speech recognition circuitry to determine the first query content, speech generation circuitry, and an input database of locally-handled user inputs. If the first audio input matches one of the locally-handled user inputs, then the system takes a local responsive action. If the first audio input does not match one of the locally-handled user inputs, then the system transmits at least a portion of the first query content over a wireless network to a network resource.
