  • Publication number: 20240103931
Abstract: In one example, a method for dynamically scaling computer resources in a cloud computing environment is disclosed. The method includes determining lag state information of a message broker. The message broker handles real-time data exchanged with application instances running in a cloud service. The method includes determining whether the lag state information indicates a change to the application instances running in the cloud service. If the lag state information indicates a change, the method includes providing instructions to the cloud service to alter the application instances.

  • Publication number: 20240106982
Abstract: An electronic system, a method, and a computer program product generate a video recording or stream with spherical background effects for video generation with automatic gesture-control background positioning for a spatially constrained user. The method includes extracting a foreground image from an image stream of the field of view captured by the image capturing device. The method includes generating a composite image stream of the foreground image superimposed on the spherical background image. The method includes identifying, within the image stream, that the foreground image is in a physically constrained space defined by physical constraint(s) around at least a portion of a background of the foreground image. In response to identifying that the foreground image is in a physically constrained space, the method includes activating a gesture-controlled background repositioning feature of the electronic system to automatically rotate a spherical background image based on receipt of a gesture control input.

  • Publication number: 20240105177
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a local assistant system responding to voice input using an ear-wearable device. The system detects a wake-up signal and receives a first voice input communicating a first query content. The system includes speech recognition circuitry to determine the first query content, speech generation circuitry, and an input database of locally-handled user inputs. If the first audio input matches one of the locally-handled user inputs, then the system takes a local responsive action. If the first audio input does not match one of the locally-handled user inputs, then the system transmits at least a portion of the first query content over a wireless network to a network resource.

  • Publication number: 20240104855
Abstract: An electronic system, a method, and a computer program product generate a video recording or stream with a spherical background image that maintains orientation like a natural background as an image capturing device changes location or aim direction. The method includes determining a stationary orientation of a spherical background image in a virtual space geospatially aligned with a first physical location of an image capturing device. The method includes extracting a foreground image from an image stream of the field of view captured by the image capturing device. The method includes generating a composite image stream of a foreground image, which is extracted from an image stream from the image capturing device, superimposed on the spherical background image. In response to movement, the method includes updating a virtual orientation and/or a virtual location of the spherical background image to remain geospatially aligned with the first physical location.

  • Publication number: 20240106979
Abstract: An electronic device, a method, and a computer program product provides freeze frame videos in place of a live video feed to a video communication session. A processor of the electronic device determines that a local participant is connected via the electronic device to an ongoing video communication session with second participants having corresponding second participant devices. The processor captures, via an image capturing device, local video encompassing the local participant. The processor determines a video segment of the local video to identify as a freeze frame video. The processor presents the freeze frame video to the video communication session in response to a trigger condition that pauses a presentation of live video feed of the local participant to the video communication session. The processor loops the presentation of the freeze frame video until an expiration of a threshold maximum time established for presenting the freeze frame video.

  • Publication number: 20240106980
Abstract: An electronic device, a method, and a computer program product provides freeze frame videos in place of a live video feed or a low-quality video feed to a video communication session. The electronic device hosts the video communication session between a first participant device and second participant devices. The electronic device receives, from the first participant device, a first video feed of a first participant to the video communication session. The electronic device determines a video segment of the received first video feed to identify as the first freeze frame video, generates the first freeze frame video from the video segment, and stores the first freeze frame video within a server repository. In response to a trigger condition, the electronic device temporarily presents to the video communication session the first freeze frame video in place of the first video feed as video content from the first participant device.

  • Patent number: 11940911
Abstract: Techniques are provided for implementing a persistent key-value store for caching client data, journaling, and/or crash recovery. The persistent key-value store may be hosted as a primary cache that provides read and write access to key-value record pairs stored within the persistent key-value store. The key-value record pairs are stored within multiple chains in the persistent key-value store. Journaling is provided for the persistent key-value store such that incoming key-value record pairs are stored within active chains, and data within frozen chains is written in a distributed manner across distributed storage of a distributed cluster of nodes. If there is a failure within the distributed cluster of nodes, then the persistent key-value store may be reconstructed and used for crash recovery.

  • Patent number: 11943125
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for detecting timestamp discontinuities and video resolution discontinuities within a packet stream and marking locations of the detected discontinuities within the packet stream are described. Prior to transmission of the packet stream, an electronic device may perform timestamp discontinuity detection by acquiring a sequence of packets to be transmitted, identifying a first timestamp associated with an earliest packet within the sequence of packets, identifying a second timestamp associated with a latest packet within the sequence of packets, determining a timestamp time difference between the first timestamp and the second timestamp, determining a maximum chunk time difference based on a data rate at which the sequence of packets were encoded and a data size of the encoded packets, and detecting that a timestamp discontinuity exists within the sequence of packets if the timestamp time difference is greater than the maximum chunk time difference.

  • Patent number: 11941335
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing concise data for analyzing checker completeness, in the context of formal verification analysis of circuit designs. The methods and systems concisely report information useful to a human user (e.g., circuit designer or verification engineer) for efficiently determining what manual action should be taken next to resolve holes in verification coverage. The reported information can include lists of signals on which checkers can be written, which lists can be ranked, can be limited to a subset of interest signals, and can include corresponding cover items for each reported interest signal. The present systems and methods thereby improve on reporting provided to the user, permitting the user to more quickly advance a formal verification process toward full coverage of the relevant portions of a circuit design.

  • Patent number: 11940168
Abstract: An electronic device includes an image capture device that can be an always on image capture device. The electronic device includes one or more processors operable with the image capture device and a wireless communication circuit operable with the one or more processors. • Patent number: 11941006
Abstract: Dynamic partitioning of a search space of queries is implemented for flexible, heuristic database querying. Search space partitioning refers to dividing the search space for a submitted query into smaller parts by augmenting the queries to append thereto an additional predicate comprising a dynamic partition key and a value(s) selected based on heuristics (e.g., recency and/or relevancy of the value(s)). A plurality of candidate augmentations of the query and corresponding query plans are generated and evaluated based on additional heuristics to determine which can be executed to yield the best results in terms of result quality and latency. This query plan is selected and executed for retrieval of results that satisfy the query, with pagination utilized for presentation of the results. The procedure of generating candidate query plans, selecting one of the candidates for execution, and paginating results is repeated until a search termination criterion is satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20240087572
Abstract: Systems are configured to obtain streaming audio data comprising language utterances, continuously decode the streaming audio data in order to generate decoded streaming audio data and determine whether a linguistic boundary exists within an initial segment of decoded streaming audio data. When a linguistic boundary is determined to exist, the systems apply a punctuation at the linguistic boundary and output a first portion of the initial segment of the streaming audio data ending at the linguistic boundary while refraining from outputting a second portion of the initial segment which is located temporally subsequent to the first portion of the initial segment. Systems are also configured to delay the output until predetermined punctuation validation processes have been performed.
