  • Publication number: 20110038381
Abstract: A first network device may select a plurality of network paths for establishing a plurality of network connections to a second network device. The selection may be based on support of IEEE Audio Video Bridging (AVB) protocols. The first network device may establish at least one of the plurality of connections over each of the selected network paths. The first network device may concurrently transmit and/or receive a plurality of data streams via the established plurality of network connections. At least a second one of the plurality of data streams may comprise data that is redundant to a first one of the plurality of data streams. One of the plurality of network connections may be selected for conveying a primary data stream based on determined path costs of the plurality of network paths, where non-AVB links may be assigned higher path costs than AVB link.

  • Publication number: 20110035479
Abstract: An intelligent network address translation system and methods for intelligent network address translation. In one embodiment, a network packet is received from a host device, and a stored record associated with the host device is identified. The stored record includes information relating to connection parameters associated with the host device. Using the stored record, a processor determines whether the network packet should be assigned a dedicated address. If so, then the network packet is transmitted using communication parameters including a dedicated IP address. If the packet should not be assigned a dedicated address, then the packet is transmitted using connection parameters including a default public IP address and a port number.

  • Publication number: 20110034338
Abstract: A superconducting article includes a substrate having a biaxially textured surface, and an epitaxial biaxially textured superconducting film supported by the substrate. The epitaxial superconducting film includes particles of Ba2RETaO6 and is characterized by a critical current density higher than 1 MA/cm2 at 77K, self-field. In one embodiment the particles are assembled into columns. The particles and nanocolumns of Ba2RETaO6 defects enhance flux pinning which results in improved critical current densities of the superconducting films. Methods of making superconducting films with Ba2RETaO6 defects are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20110033674
Abstract: A simple and controlled method to fabricate a 3D, epitaxial, biaxially textured nanofence comprised of single crystalline MgO nanobelt segments or links that grew both vertically and horizontally along <100> directions of the (100) STO substrate was developed. Continuous supply of Ni catalyst during the co-laser ablation of MgO and Ni metal led to the growth of nanobelts with such a unique morphology. Individual single crystalline MgO nanobelts had a square cross-section with high aspect ratios. X-ray diffraction results obtained from an entire MgO nanofence layer confirmed that MgO nanofence had epitaxial relation with STO substrate of [100]MgO?[100]STO. Such oxide nanofences can be used as a 3D biaxially-textured nanotemplate for epitaxial growth of wide-ranging, 3D, electronic, magnetic and electromagnetic nanodevices.

  • Publication number: 20110035359
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for reorganizing a source index tree of a database table resulting in a target index tree of the database table is provided. A backup process reads source leaf pages of the source index tree in a logical order defined by a sequence of index keys. The logical order can be different from a physical order of the source leaf pages defined by a sequence of respective storage locations. The backup process constructs target leaf pages of the target index tree maintaining the logical order. A restore process constructs target non-leaf pages of the target index tree based on the distribution of the index keys among the constructed leaf pages and stores the target leaf and non-leaf pages.
