  • Publication number: 20160259467
Abstract: A touch controller can dynamically balance performance criteria, such as signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) thresholds, with power consumption for touch sensitive devices. A touch controller can be configured to reduce power consumption by reconfiguring bank boundaries for an active mode scan so as to reduce the number of banks scanned with a banked active mode scan. Additionally or alternatively, the stimulation signal amplitude and integration time of the touch controller can be dynamically adjusted to balance performance criteria with power consumption. Default integration times and default stimulation signal amplitudes can be increased in higher-noise operating environments to raise SNR, and can be reduced to save power in lower-noise operating environments.

  • Publication number: 20160259702
Abstract: System, methods, and apparatuses are described that facilitate a first device to transmit/retransmit a message to a second device. The first device transmits a first message to the second device. The first device then receives a second message and identifies a hit of the second message indicating an originator of the second message. If the bit indicates the first device as the originator of the second message, then the second message is an echo of the first message, Reception of the echo indicates that the second device is in a sleep state. Accordingly, the first device waits for the second device to wake and retransmits the first message to the second device to ensure that any packets lost during the original transmission of the first message (when the second device was asleep) are now retransmitted while the second device is known to be awake.

  • Publication number: 20160262059
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supporting efficient transitioning of a UE device from a source to destination base station are described. Various embodiments are well suited for use in an environment in where there may be PCI confusion. The handover mechanism is used to: (i) deliver context transfer information corresponding to the UE to one or more potential target base stations and to be available for use by other base stations and (ii) to force an initial handover attempt to fail via the use of intentionally faulty radio resource information. Following the initial handover attempt failure, the UE establishes a successful connection with the destination base station using valid radio resource information which was recovered via a received wireless broadcast signal.
