  • Patent number: 11531869
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe circuitry with improved efficiency when executing layers in a nested neural network. As mentioned above, a nested neural network has at least one split operation where a tensor generated by a first layer is transmitted to, and processed by several branches in the neural network. Each of these branches can have several layers that have data dependencies which result in a multiply-add array sitting idly. In one embodiment, the circuitry can include a dedicated pre-pooler for performing a pre-pooling operation. Thus, the pre-pooling operation can be performing in parallel with other operations (e.g., the convolution performed by another layer). Once the multiply-add array is idle, the pre-pooling operation has already completed (or at least, has already started) which means the time the multiply-add array must wait before it can perform the next operation is reduced or eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20220361871
Abstract: Needle drivers and methods of the present disclosure are generally directed at intracorporeal suture tying using a winding technique. For example, a needle driver may include an elongate shaft having a magnet section between a proximal section and a distal section. A clamp coupled to the distal section may grasp a first end portion of a suture. A needle coupled to a second end portion of the suture may be magnetically secured to the magnet section, and the magnet section may then be rotated to form a loop in the suture. Forming a knot in the suture may include moving the loop over the first end portion of the suture grasped in the clamp. As compared to other intracorporeal suture tying techniques, intracorporeal knot tying carried out using the needle drivers and methods of the present disclosure may reduce the time and complexity associated with laparoscopic procedures.

  • Publication number: 20220366187
Abstract: A method includes fitting a ML trained model to data features, the fitting generates complete data feature-set outputs that are associated with a first set of accuracy values, iteratively fitting, after an iterative removal of each data feature from the data feature-set, the ML trained model to subsets of the plurality of data features to determine respective reduced feature-set outputs, each subset lacks a different data feature of the plurality of data features, determining one or more of the reduced feature-set outputs as corresponding to a second set of accuracy values, designating the iteratively removed data features as accuracy-modifying data features, generating a first linear model, generating a second linear model based on one of the accuracy-modifying data features having a weight that is highest relative to respective different weights of the remaining ones of the accuracy-modifying data features, and identifying the second linear model as a generative model.

  • Patent number: 11498705
Abstract: Systems and methods for refueling a chemical propulsion system are provided. The systems can include multiple pressurant reservoirs to supply pressure to one or more fuel tanks. During a refueling operation, pressurant is released, fuel is added to the fuel tank, and then the fuel tank is repressurized using pressurant from a secondary pressurant tank. In other configurations, during a refueling operation pressurant is cooled to depressurize the fuel tank, fuel is added to the fuel tank, and then the pressurant is heated to repressurize the fuel tank. • Publication number: 20220355954
Abstract: Chemical propellant storage and supply systems and methods for use on spacecraft are provided. The systems and methods include a fluid pump for moving chemical propellant within the system at selected pressures. This can include operating the fluid pump to supply propellant to a thruster system at a selected pressure. A fuel tank can be refilled by connecting a propellant resupply source to the system, and operating the fluid pump to move propellant from the propellant resupply source to the fuel tank. In a system with multiple fuel tanks, the fluid pump can be operated to move propellant from a donor fuel tank to a recipient fuel tank. The chemical propellant can be stored in one or more fuel tanks at a relatively low pressure. In addition, the chemical propellant is not pressurized by a gaseous pressurant while it is stored in the fuel tank.

  • Publication number: 20220330935
Abstract: The fastener assemblies, systems, and methods of the present disclosure are generally directed to a first T-fastener and a second T-fastener securable to one another through the use of a suture extending therebetween and deliverable to an anatomical location using a minimally invasive technique. For example, a cannula of a needle assembly may be percutaneously deliverable to a treatment site and, through actuation of a hub of the needle assembly, the first T-fastener and the second T-fastener may be deliverable relative to biological tissue to be fastened at the treatment site. The suture may intracorporeally fasten the first T-fastener and the second T-fastener relative to one another for robust securement biological tissue therebetween. As compared to securement using external fixation, the fastener assemblies, systems, and methods of the present disclosure may facilitate intracorporeally fastening tissue while reducing or eliminating certain requirements associated with postoperative care.
