  • Patent number: 12220294
Abstract: Non-sliding orthodontic appliances may include an archwire having male fasteners for locking in place with brackets in a non-sliding manner and interproximal loops for exerting forces on the brackets. Appropriate forces may be calculated according to vectors between initial and ideal tooth positions. The brackets may be transferred to a patient's teeth using indirect bonding trays which contain slots for holding and aligning each bracket. The trays may include integrated handles for facilitating handling, may be sectioned into smaller pieces for easier application, and/or may be labeled for facilitating proper registration. Superposition of a digital placement plan and clinical model after bonding may illustrate the accuracy of bracket placement. The archwire may comprise atraumatic ends to avoid patient discomfort. A color registration system can be used to facilitate the attachment of the archwire to the brackets. The archwire may be locked into place with the brackets using crimpable stops.

  • Publication number: 20250044106
Abstract: Map and kinematic based predictions are used for determining the trajectory of road users for use by a host vehicle. A kinematic trajectory of a road user is determined. The road user is associated with mapped lanes. At least one path of the road user is predicted using the mapped lanes. For a path of the at least one path, a probability is generated using the kinematic trajectory of the road user, wherein the probability represents how likely the road user will continue following the path. A kinematic prediction of the road user is generated using the probability corresponding to the path, wherein the kinematic prediction represents how likely the road user will follow an alternative path to the at least one path. Using at least one control system of a vehicle, a control action for the vehicle is determined using the at least one path and the kinematic prediction.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods that include a keypad that detects button presses using deflection sensing. The keypad may be a keypad of a camera such as an endoscopic camera head. A button press may be detected based on an amount of deflection of a material. The deflection of the material may be caused by force from a user's finger on a button of the keypad. The material may be located proximate to a sensor, which outputs a sensor signal indicating the amount of deflection of the material. Aspects of the disclosure comprise a controller that identifies an amount of deflection, compares the amount of deflection to a signal threshold, and determines whether a button has been pressed based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 12203965
Abstract: An impedance sensing circuit includes first and second current sources and first and second bias current sources that are appropriately coupled to first and second resistors. The impedance sensing circuit also includes a comparator that compares a first voltage based on the first terminal of the first resistor to a second voltage based on the first terminal of the second resistor to generate a comparator output signal. Either the comparator output signal or a digital signal based on the comparator output signal operates to regulate the current signals output from the first and second current sources so that the first voltage is same as the second voltage. The comparator output signal and the digital signal is representative of a difference between the first voltage and the second voltage that is based on an impedance difference between the first resistor and the second resistor.

  • Patent number: 12198041
Abstract: Generating instructions for programming a processing element array to implement a convolution operation can include determining that the convolution operation under-utilizes the processing element array. The convolution operation involves using the processing element array to perform a series of matrix multiplications between a set of filters and a set of input matrices. Each filter comprises a weight matrix. Each input matrix is assigned to a respective row in the processing element array. Under-utilization can be determined through detecting that less than a threshold number of rows would be used concurrently. In response to determining that the convolution operation under-utilizes the processing element array, instructions can be added for modifying the convolution operation to increase the number of rows used concurrently. The added instructions are executable to cause at least one input matrix to be processed in parallel across more rows compared to processing without modifying the convolution operation.
