Abstract: Systems and methods for removal of clot material from vessel lumens are disclosed. A medical device assembly can include a catheter having a lumen and a distal portion configured to be positioned at or adjacent a treatment site within a vessel. An expandable member has a first portion coupled to the distal portion of the catheter, and a second portion extending away from the catheter distal portion. An elongate shaft extends through the lumen of the catheter, and the second portion of the expandable member is releasably coupled to the shaft. When the shaft is slidably moved relative to the surrounding catheter, the second portion of the expandable member can be released from the shaft, and the shaft can be withdrawn or removed.

  • Publication number: 20240385465
Abstract: A display element having a substrate having a plurality of optical elements. The optical elements of a first grid consist of a first type of optical elements and the optical elements of a second grid consist of a second type of optical elements. The first type of optical elements is different from the second type of optical elements. In the event of tilting of the display element, the light spots 5 of the concave and convex mirror surfaces in this case move synchronously in opposing directions in the direction of the arrows, such that an observer 4 observes a particularly pronounced dynamic floating effect.

  • Patent number: 12144730
Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve for implant in a human. The valve includes a wireform with undulating inflow cusps and outflow commissure posts to which flexible leaflets attach and coapt in a flow area. Each leaflet may drape over the top of the wireform in the cusp area, but have tabs that each extend underneath the wireform at the commissure posts to be secured along with a tab of an adjacent leaflet. The prosthetic heart valve may also be a dual-wire wireform, with the leaflets sandwiched therebetween. One wireform may be larger than the other, with the leaflets extending over the smaller wireform. The smaller wireform may have commissures that bend radially outward from the larger wireform to provide structure to which the leaflet tabs attach.

  • Patent number: 12144517
Abstract: Retrieval of material from vessel lumens can be improved by electrically enhancing attachment of the material to the removal device. The removal device can have a core assembly that includes a hypotube coupled to a first electrical terminal and a pushwire coupled to a second electrical terminal, the pushwire extending through the hypotube lumen. An insulating layer separates the hypotube and the pushwire, and an interventional element is coupled to a distal end of the pushwire. The interventional element can be disposed adjacent to a thrombus. An electrical signal is delivered to the interventional element to promote adhesion of the thrombus to the interventional element. The electrical signal can optionally be a periodic waveform, and the total energy delivered can be between 0.75-24,000 mJ and the peak current delivered via the electrical signal can be between 0.5-5 mA.

  • Patent number: 12145848
Abstract: Techniques are described for transferring nanofiber forests using transfer films that either lack a conventional adhesive at the substrate—nanofiber forest interface or that include a diffusion barrier that prevents diffusion of adhesive molecules (or other polymer molecules mobile at ambient temperatures) into the nanofiber forest. These techniques can be applied to single layer nanofiber forests or stacks of multiple nanofiber forest. By selecting the bond strength between the nanofiber forest and the transfer films, the nanofibers can be aligned in a common direction that includes, but is not limited to, perpendicular to a substrate or transfer film.

  • Patent number: 12141512
Abstract: An approach is disclosed herein to sequence selection in a UVM environment. Generally, this approach includes a training phase for each machine learning model of a plurality of machine learning models. Each model is trained to achieve a particular target state and is rewarded when a selected action or sequence of actions causes movement that might be beneficial to achieving that target state. Once a respective model is trained, the trained model can then be used to determine which one action or sequence of actions (or ordered multiple thereof) to take to achieve the corresponding target state. Thus, by training and using a plurality of machine learning models to achieve a plurality of target states, and stimulating those machine learning models once trained, one or more actions and/or sequences of actions are generated as the selected sequences to be used to verify functionality or operation of a design under test.

  • Publication number: 20240371176
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting and remediating roadway hazards are disclosed. A machine learning model is trained on a dataset related to roadway items. Input data is collected by a data collection engine and provided to a pattern recognizer. The pattern recognizer extracts roadway features and recognized patterns from the input data and provide the extracted features to a trained machine learning model. The trained model compares the extracted features to the model, and a risk value is generated. The risk value is compared to a risk value threshold. If the risk value is equal to or exceeds the risk threshold, then the input data may be classified as a roadway hazard. Remedial action is subsequently be triggered.
