  • Publication number: 20070091660
Abstract: A monitor and a DC/AC converter thereof are provided. The monitor includes a lamp and a DC/AC converter. The DC/AC converter includes a pulse width modulation (PWM) unit, a DC/DC converting unit and a Royer circuit. The PWM unit is used for outputting a PWM signal whose pulse width is determined by a potential signal. The DC/DC converting unit receives and converts the first DC voltage to a second DC voltage whose potential is determined by the PWM signal. The Royer circuit generates an AC voltage to the lamp according to the second DC voltage. The DC/AC converter determines the potential of the AC voltage according to the potential signal. When the DC/AC converter operates in burst mode, the potential signal is alternated between a high potential and a low potential, such that the AC voltage outputted is in burst mode.

  • Publication number: 20070079954
Abstract: A heat-dissipating model includes a heat-conducting member and a heat-dissipating body. The heat-conducting member has a hollow cylinder with a closed end. The interior of the wall of the cylinder is formed with a vacuum chamber. The vacuum chamber is provided with a capillary structure and a working fluid therein. The heat-dissipating body has a through hole for connecting to the outer periphery of the heat-conducting member. Further, the periphery of the heat-dissipating body is provided with a plurality of heat-dissipating fins. With the above arrangement, the heat generated by the heat source can be dissipated to a far place, so that it can be continuously operated at a lower temperature. As a result, the effect of heat conduction or dissipation can be improved and the life is extended.

  • Patent number: 7197943
Abstract: A flow meter comprising a tubular main-body and a cover plate formed by printed circuit board which carries two pressure sensing devices tightly packed by soft rubber material for sensing the pressure head of and the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the flow meter. Since the cover plate is mounted on, and fastened to the main-body by fastening screw, but not by adhesive to form a complete unit, the cover plate can therefore bear high fluid pressure without crack or damage, i.e., shall increase the capacity of bearing pressure, the service life and accuracy, and decrease the occurrence of malfunction to the flow meter.

  • Patent number: 7197010
Abstract: In assessing the capability of an IP based network to support toll telephony service, objective measurements of Speech Quality are taken. A module is used with Voice over Packet equipment that allows performance of voice quality measurements in real-time without using any external test equipment. A reference signal that includes a marker and a voice test signal is sent through the network from one Voice over Packet equipment containing or connected to the module to another. The received marker is compared to the reference marker to identify the onset time of the received voice test signal. The received and reference voice test signals are processed to measure the quality of the network. This may be implemented using the processing power and memory resources present in Voice over Packet equipment giving the network administrator an enhanced test capability at each node of the network.

  • Publication number: 20070061026
Abstract: Systems and methods for audio signal processing are disclosed, where a discrete number of simple digital filters are generated for particular portions of an audio frequency range. Studies have shown that certain frequency ranges are particularly important for human ears' location-discriminating capability, while other ranges are generally ignored. Head-Related Transfer Functions (HRTFs) are examples response functions that characterize how ears perceive sound positioned at different locations. By selecting one or more “location-critical” portions of such response functions, one can construct simple filters that can be used to simulate hearing where location-discriminating capability is substantially maintained. Because the filters can be simple, they can be implemented in devices having limited computing power and resources to provide location-discrimination responses that form the basis for many desirable audio effects.

  • Publication number: 20070055854
Abstract: A method for loading configuration data onto a non-volatile memory and the device using the same is provided. A non-volatile memory block is preloaded with a certain compatible memory configuration data in advance when the memory device is being manufactured. The memory configuration data comprises plural parameters corresponding to the non-volatile memory. When readying the memory device, the preloaded configuration data is loaded onto a random-access memory thereof so as to save the space in a read-only memory used for storing the memory's identification and its specification. Additionally, means for loading the configuration data from the preload zone onto the random-access memory is introduced to update the firmware.

  • Publication number: 20070022773
Abstract: A cooling energy saving structure, capable of connecting to a PCB multi-axial driller, includes a chiller, a freezing dryer, and a thermal superconductive recycling device, where the chiller has a liquid outward piping and a liquid inward piping, the freezing dryer has a gas outward piping and a gas inward piping, and the thermal superconductive recycling device accommodates the liquid inward piping of the chiller and the gas outward piping of the dryer. The device further features cooling the liquid in the inward piping before it flows back to the chiller, and heating the gas in the outward piping before it is discharged. The heat exchange performed between the flow back liquid of the chiller and the discharged gas of the dryer takes advantage of the device, which proves to have substantially cut down energy consumption and power expenditure for a very effective use of energy resources.

  • Publication number: 20070000327
Abstract: An acoustic wave sensing device integrated with micro-channels and a method for the same are described. The present invention uses a piezoelectric substrate with a thinner portion serving as a sensing area and formed via a micromaching or chemical process. An inter-digital transducer (IDT) is located on the thinner portion to produce flexural plate waves (FPW). The micro-channels can be formed together with the thinner portion via the same manufacturing process, or integrated into the piezoelectric substrate via linkage. In the present invention, a novel manufacturing process and design are proposed for fabrication of the acoustic wave sensing devices with a good piezoelectric characteristic, a stable temperature compensation property, and a robust structure. Thereby, the techniques of flexural plate waves can be applied for liquid sensors. In this way, the drawbacks of the conventional acoustic wave sensing devices, such as poor piezoelectric properties and fragile film structures, are removed.

  • Publication number: 20060290891
Abstract: A device for cooling a light emitting diode projector includes a first cooling unit that includes a hollow portion. One end of the hollow portion includes a third cooling body and a reflection cover. The light emitting unit is adhered to one surface of the third cooling body, while the light source is projected corresponding to the reflection cover.
