  • Patent number: 10057170
Abstract: A network appliance deployed in a visibility fabric may intelligently drop certain low priority traffic to avoid indiscriminate dropping of data packets across all flow maps during periods of high congestion. More specifically, the network appliance may determine the data packets of a flow map should be dropped based on priority measures assigned on a per-flow map basis. Such a technique enables the network appliance to drop low priority traffic and forward high priority traffic downstream. Also introduced herein are techniques for metering traffic in order to gain better control over the traffic that is forwarded to an egress port of a network appliance. Because a network tool connected to the egress port can become easily overwhelmed, the network appliance may filter the traffic based on the priority of the flow maps to ensure that the network tool does not receive more traffic than can be handled.

  • Publication number: 20180211118
Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle includes a camera configured to be disposed at a vehicle so as to have a field of view exterior of the vehicle. A processor is operable to process image data captured by the camera. The vision system determines conditions where processing of captured image data degrades in performance due to environmental conditions. The vision system, responsive to a determined condition, determines a safe state for image processing of captured image data for that determined condition. A failsafe algorithm, responsive to processing of image data captured by the camera and responsive to the determined condition, and in accordance with the determined safe state for that determined condition, determines true negatives and avoids false positives and false negatives.

  • Patent number: 10009263
Abstract: Introduced here is a technique for using a network switch device, which may include commodity switching fabric, to route packets through an inline tool, without introducing any additional information to the packets. The introduced technique modifies standard capability of packet forwarding and learning port-to-MAC address associations to route data packets through the inline tool. The technique may include applying two override settings to the network device. A first override setting involves a forwarding rule that is based on the arrival port and the content of the packet. A second override setting involves disabling the MAC address learning mechanism for the packet received from the inline tool via the second tool port of the network device.

  • Publication number: 20180028192
Abstract: A system for treating an aneurysm comprises an elongate flexible shaft and an expandable member. An expandable scaffold is disposed over the expandable member and may be expanded from a collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration. A double-walled filling structure is disposed over the scaffold and has an outer wall and an inner wall. The filling structure is adapted to be filled with a hardenable fluid filing medium so that the outer wall conforms to an inside surface of the aneurysm and the inner wall forms a substantially tubular lumen to provide a path for blood flow. In the expanded configuration the scaffold engages the inner wall of the filling structure. A tether is releasably coupled with the filling structure and the flexible shaft thereby constraining axial movement of the structures relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 9699618
Abstract: A system and method is described that computes an estimated current location for a client device based on both the detected current location and the predicted current location of the client device. By utilizing the predicted current location, the system and method may account for and compensate for anomalies and inaccuracies in the detected current location. Accordingly, the system and method provides a more accurate estimation for the current location of the client device based on examination of heuristics and a priori environmental data. In particular, the system and method compensates for detected locations that are impossible or improbable based on previous locations of the client device, the layout of the environment in which the client device is traversing, data describing the user of the client device, and/or data describing the client device.

  • Patent number: 9425265
Abstract: Embodiments of a semiconductor die having a semiconductor device implemented on the semiconductor die and an edge termination structure around a periphery of the semiconductor device and methods of fabricating the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, a semiconductor die includes a semiconductor device and an edge termination structure around a periphery of the semiconductor device, where the edge termination structure includes negative features (e.g., trenches and/or divots) that vary dose in a corresponding edge termination region to approximate a desired dose profile. In one embodiment, the desired dose profile is a substantially decreasing or substantially linearly decreasing dose from an edge of a main junction of the semiconductor device to an edge of the edge termination region. In this manner, electric field crowding at the edge of the main junction of the semiconductor device is substantially reduced, which in turn substantially improves a break-down voltage of the semiconductor device.
