  • Patent number: 9177566
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus of a digital filter for noise suppression of a signal representing an acoustic recording. The method comprises determining a desired frequency response (H(?)) of the digital filter; and generating a noise suppression filter based on the desired frequency response. The desired frequency response is determined in a manner so that the desired frequency response does not exceed a maximum level, wherein the maximum level is determined in response to the signal to be filtered.

  • Patent number: 9154429
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and arrangements for updating the mapping of traffic in the form of a set of service level aggregate flows (SLS1, SLSM) to a set of partial resources (B1, BN) for forwarding the traffic in a communications network (21). Each service level aggregate flow corresponds to a service level associated with a set of service requirements. Information regarding traffic characteristics of each service level aggregate flow and performance of the set of network resources are obtained. Based on this information, the mapping of the set of service level aggregate flows to the set of network resources is updated to achieve a more efficient utilization of the set of network resources, while fulfilling the set of service requirements.

  • Patent number: 9096215
Abstract: A method is provided to control a drivetrain of a vehicle, especially a utility vehicle, wherein the drivetrain includes an engine with a cooling system. The cooling system includes a fan. The cooling system and the drivetrain are controlled by an electronic control unit (ECU). The ECU has access to a navigation system with topographic data. The method includes determining a topology of an upcoming route of the vehicle, estimating the load of the engine dependent of the topology of the upcoming route, estimating a temperature variation of the cooling system during the upcoming route, and controlling the drivetrain dependent on the estimated temperature variation, such that an actual temperature of the cooling system is kept below a temperature threshold value during the upcoming route of the vehicle. The temperature threshold value is dependent on a temperature at which said fan is activated.

  • Patent number: 9082391
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and arrangement for an improved noise canceller in a speech encoder. Sound signals are captured at a primary microphone in conjunction with a reference microphone. An adaptive shadow filter is adapted to the correlation between the signals captured at the primary and reference microphones. Further, a diffuse-noise-field detector is introduced which detects the presence of diffuse noise. When the diffuse-noise-field detector detects diffuse noise, the filter coefficients of the adapted shadow filter is used by a primary filter to cancel the diffuse noise at the signal captured by the primary microphone. Since the filter coefficients of the adapted shadow filter only is used for cancellation when diffuse noise is solely detected, cancellation of the speech signal is avoided.

  • Patent number: 9067579
Abstract: A method and system for controlling a powertrain in a vehicle includes steps including registering a road condition. If the registered road condition corresponds to normal road conditions then a first gear selection control algorithm is used intended for driving the vehicle in a normal mode corresponding to the conditions on an ordinary road. If the registered road condition corresponds to soft surface road conditions then a second gear selection control algorithm is used intended for driving the vehicle in a soft surface mode corresponding to the conditions on an soft surface road. In this way, a vehicle can be adapted to be provided with an AMT to work in a satisfactorily way under an increased diversity of conditions.

  • Publication number: 20150058002
Abstract: A method of detecting wind noise in an audio signal includes calculating a power spectrum of the current frame, evaluating whether the current frame is non-stationary, evaluating whether an energy content of the current frame is concentrated at low frequencies and evaluating whether a periodicity is present in the power spectrum. The method further includes determining the presence of wind noise without speech in the current frame if the current frame is non-stationary, the energy content is concentrated at low frequencies, and a periodicity is not present. The periodicity of the power spectrum is analyzed using cepstrum coefficients. An improved wind noise detection may be achieved by analyzing the spectral characteristics of recorded audio signals.

  • Patent number: 8938352
Abstract: A method for controlling a cruise control operable to maintain a set speed of a vehicle according to a plurality of goal droop curves is provided. The goal droop curves include: an isochronous droop curve; a top droop curve; and a bottom droop curve. The method includes performing command according to the droop curves; registering that the vehicle soon will enter an uphill slope; estimating in a vehicle position before entering the uphill slope if a downshift in a transmission of the vehicle will occur when traveling the uphill slope during a coming time period (testimation); if the downshift is estimated to occur then performing a fuel saving action during the time period in order to avoid the downshift. The fuel saving action is one of an adaptation of transmission downshifting limits or to during the time period performing command according to a second isochronous curve.
